I recently stayed at Chateau Merrimack and had a fantastic experience, the property is beautiful, the staff is professional and attentive, and every part of my stay felt thoughtful and well-managed. That said, I was surprised and disappointed to witness the behavior of another guest, Ryan, who has since left a negative review. I personally saw him act in a highly inappropriate and disrespectful manner toward the management team, including making an obscene gesture. It was uncalled for and uncomfortable to witness, especially considering how hard the team works to accommodate everyone with professionalism and grace. His review seems to misrepresent what actually happened, and I’m glad I witnessed it so I can share my feedback! The vehicle in question was clearly parked temporarily in the roundabout for loading and unloading, something I’ve seen done for other guests as well. There was no traffic being blocked, and his access to the hotel wasn’t restricted in any way. I unloaded and passed with my car right next to the car parked without issues, plenty of space around the rotary. As guests, we also have a responsibility to treat staff including the managers, with the same courtesy and respect we expect in return. It’s disappointing to see someone try to damage the reputation of a great hotel over a personal issue that had nothing to do with the quality of service. I stand by the staff at Chateau Merrimack, they’ve created a truly special place, and I look forward to returning.

May 23, 2025 · Dr. BeatMy wife and I had an incredible stay at Chateau Mereimack. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. The manager was training the front desk team during check-in, and it was clear she has a real passion for hospitality, she made the process smooth and pleasant. Our room was spotless, the bathroom was immaculate, and the bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best we’ve slept in! The housekeeping team, especially Maureen, was so kind and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. We also loved dining at Pino Restaurant, it’s a beautifully set-up, cozy spot with delicious food. Every meal we had was absolutely yummy! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this boutique spa hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay. We can’t wait to come back! And yeah - no smoking in the rooms - this place needs it!!
Mar 18, 2025 · Emmanuel RivasThe only reason they even deserve A star is because of the spacious rooms but DEFINITELY not worth $500. I was trying to get in contact with the hotel for about 2 weeks to make sure my reservation was good and if I needed anything else seeing how I already prepaid. But couldn’t get a hold of anybody straight busy tone for 2 weeks straight. Upon arrival there was nobody to check in with. It’s scary to think just anybody can walk into that hotel during your stay. The room I booked was NOT the room I got but i overlooked that as well. But I think the BEST part of my stay was the Chef/Manager knocking on my door and asking me if I was smoking in the room because the hotel corridor smelled like weed since 7 that morning! I opened the door wide so he can take a wiff to make sure he knew it wasn’t us. When it was time to check out they had the audacity to tell me my bill was run up to $750 because they tacked on a smoking charge NO WARNING NOTHING TO IMPLICATE that they would be doing something so despicable. The older woman that works there is super rude and when I was checking out the way she was speaking to the housekeeper was absolutely disgusting. You can tell how racist she was just by the tone of her voice. My husband and I travel a lot and I never had an experience like this. This is not even a place I would recommend to anyone. Should’ve definitely taken that 3 star rating into consideration.
Feb 25, 2025 · Kristina MonroyThis is a great hotel in most of the staff are amazing. However, the manager is disorganized and very entitled. I couldn't even drive up to the front because she had her Porsche Cayenne parked in the roundabout. It seems counterproductive to not let guests check in in a timely manner since the manager is oblivious and blocks the entrance. This has been my third time staying here and they could never get it together. I blame it on the manager alone. This place is a great hotel but needs a new manager badly.
May 22, 2025 · ryan keith tonsbergWe got the top executive king size suite and the room was large and visually great. Had a nice fireplace, clean bathroom and good size jetted tub. However, there were stains on the yellow couch and on the comforter. The windows opened but didn't have screens. Upon arrival the front desk girl was pleasant and the cleaning crew was busy whenever I saw them. There was an older woman who was so rude to the cleaning crew. Barking orders and complaining about other staff so loudly. Extremely unprofessional! We walked downstairs for breakfast and she was at the front desk with a different female this time and neither even acknowledged us. The breakfast was free but barely any options for food. Spending $350 a night there should be some protein being offered. It was only plain/sesame bagels, toast (only grape jelly), bread for toast one type of muffin and one type of pastry. No area to cut the Bagels near the toaster. That room was huge and comfortable. But the entire time I heard the staff complaining about other staff from the other room. The hotel smelled like weed as soon as we left the room. Also, the tiny shower gel provided was half gone. The spa I tried to book prior but they told me the person doing the massages would not be there on Saturday. We were only there that day. The restaurant was great. Although we got the food before we got our drinks, it had big portions and was really good tasting. The waitstaff was attentive and professional. We put the bill on our room charge but got a call after 10pm in our room asking how much the tip (total) was because they couldn't read it. My boyfriend writes extremely neat and why did they wait over 2hrs to call us. We may give it another try. I just want to be honest about our experience.
