Our stay was very nice, the room has an excellent view and lots of light when you opened the curtains but it would be easy to mistake noon for midnight if you had them closed. Staff was very friendly and considerate. My only issue if I had to pick something is that the water pressure was very low.... But we were on the top floor so I think that physics being what it is, that's not surprising with such an old building.

Features / Highlights
Club Wyndham La Belle Maison offers several features and highlights that contribute to a memorable stay, reflecting its nature as a resort hotel in a historic city. These elements aim to combine the comfort of modern accommodations with the unique atmosphere of New Orleans.
Historic Building Charm: The resort is housed in an older building, which, as one guest noted, can contribute to its character and charm. This often means unique architectural details and a sense of history that newer constructions might lack, providing an authentic New Orleans experience.
Spacious Rooms and Views: Guests have specifically mentioned "excellent views" and "lots of light" when curtains are opened, suggesting that many rooms offer pleasant outlooks and ample natural light. This can significantly enhance the ambiance of your stay, making the room feel more open and inviting.
Central Location for Exploration: As detailed earlier, its prime location on Magazine Street is a major highlight, placing guests within easy walking distance of major attractions like the French Quarter, the Warehouse Arts District, and various entertainment options. This convenience minimizes travel time and maximizes exploration.
Dedicated Staff (Valet): While some guest experiences varied, the valet staff received specific praise for being "spectacular," "very nice," and "very helpful." Consistent positive interactions with certain staff members can significantly improve the overall guest experience, especially with essential services like parking.
Guest-Focused Atmosphere: As a Club Wyndham property, the resort is designed with the guest experience in mind, often providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for both short and extended stays. The focus is typically on providing a relaxing base from which to enjoy the local area.
Potential for Unique Room Layouts: Given it's an older building, individual room layouts and features might vary, potentially offering more unique and less generic accommodations compared to chain hotels built recently. This can add to the distinctiveness of your stay.
These features collectively make Club Wyndham La Belle Maison a compelling choice for those seeking a resort experience that balances historical charm with modern convenience, all within the heart of New Orleans.

May 29, 2025 · Kyle CranfillExtremely Disappointed – Poor Service & Billing Issues Our experience at Club Wyndham La Belle Maison was terrible from the start. We arrived around midnight only to be told we couldn’t check in because the reservation name wasn’t updated correctly—even though the correct name was in the notes. The front desk staff refused to fix it, and we were forced to leave and find another hotel that night. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. The next morning, we had to call corporate just to get into the room we had already booked. When we finally got in, the room was nothing special—definitely not worth the stress. To make matters worse, when we checked out, the hotel claimed a guest who visited us didn’t pay for valet when they actually did, and tried to charge us for it. Then we saw two separate charges on our card and were told one was “just a hold”—we’ll see if it actually gets released. Overall, the service was careless, the room was mediocre, and the billing issues were shady. We won’t be staying here again and can’t recommend it. The valet men were spectacular. Very nice and very helpful and were the only positive staff members we were in contact with.
May 04, 2025 · taylor sheltonThis hotel is so conveniently located. You are only blocks away from Ceasars and the Trolleys, and right across the road from one of our favorite restaurants, The Ruby Slipper. The French Quarter is within reasonable walking distance if you don't want to wait for the trolley! Plus, the rooms and service are wonderful!
Jun 16, 2025 · Mindy RoyI recently had the pleasure of staying at Wyndham La Belle Maison, and I must say—it was a phenomenal experience from beginning to end! The rooms were absolutely stunning: spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately clean. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere and modern decor that gave a perfect blend of classic New Orleans charm and contemporary comfort. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms spotless, and the in-room amenities were exactly what I needed to feel right at home. What really stood out to me, though, was the service. Every staff member I encountered was kind, professional, and genuinely attentive to guests’ needs. Whether I needed dining recommendations, extra towels, or directions to a nearby attraction, the team went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of. Their hospitality truly enhanced my overall experience. The location is another huge perk! Wyndham La Belle Maison is just a short walk from the French Quarter, the Riverwalk Outlet Collection, the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, and so much more. I loved how easy it was to explore the heart of New Orleans without needing a car. The hotel also offers a sense of peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle—perfect for recharging after a day out in the city. If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding service in a prime New Orleans location, I highly recommend staying at Wyndham La Belle Maison. I can’t wait for my next visit!
Apr 10, 2025 · Faye ButlerEverything here is a scam. When you check in they issue you your room key & welcome you. Next you get a call saying you need to pick up a welcome packet. Why didn’t they give it to you when you checked in? It’s a trick to get you to go to a presentation to sell you something. If you agree to go to the presentation, they charge you a $40 deposit to make you show. They send you a note the next day saying you need to go pick up a wristband to access the building. It’s the same trick. Again why not give it to you when check in? During Mardi Gras you need a “special” wristband to prove you are staying here even through they give you a room key wristband when they trick you to come down the first time. They don’t tell you & even though there is 3 security guards at the door checking everyone as they enter/leave they let you leave without a “special” wristband only to ambush you upon your return by shoving a contract in your face & saying you can’t come in unless you sign it. They wait until you are tired & just want to go back to your room to try to trick you. Guess what if you lose that “special” wristband? It’s $100 to replace it & they make you sign a contract agreeing to this & if you don’t they claim you can’t get back into your hotel room if you leave even if you have a room key. They claim it’s for security. They never checked my id when issuing the “special” wristband. I just told them my room number & they just asked if I was Robert. They said the first name on the room & I just agreed. I could have been anyone. They forced me to sign a contract under duress in order to access the hotel that they fully acknowledged that I was a guest at. Never again. Don’t stay here!!
