Jan 22, 2025 · Lejeda IsmahilajI stayed at this hotel with my cousin for her birthday after having a great spa day at the place across the street. When we got there, I fell hard on ice in front of their building -flat on my back and hitting my head in the ground - The lady hotel worker was acting like no big deal and told me there was no incident report I could do. I went out and came back and a male worker was now there and I told him I fell and asked him to look at his cameras to see and he said their cameras don’t see that far and also said there was no incident report to do and then charged me $5 for water - no care for me at all. The first girl gave me a number to call but that’s it. The next morning I spoke with the manager that was there and told her what happened and she gave me a form to fill out a free Tylenol and water but was still acting a little like oh well sorry nothing we can do. I will be reaching out to their corporate office as well. This is unacceptable- they didn’t even say they felt bad or try to accommodate in any way- just sad - very sad. I’m a 53 year old woman and this fall really hurt me. I couldn’t even get up- I had to scream my cousin name and she ran out from checking in to help me. I’ve been taking ibuprofen multiple times since. On top of that their rooms are not the greatest - they are getting over for having river view rooms.
Dec 23, 2024 · Kimberly WynderI was excited to spend my bday in Edgewater and had a spa reservation at Sojo. Unfortunately, I got very sick with the flu and had to cancel. Sojo refunded my day, but Liada, the manager at Comfort Inn would not do anything to help. I offered to come at a different date, even the rep at Priceline called to plead with her to help and she refused. I understand policies, having worked in hospitality management myself. She could have done something. You lost a good customer and I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to stay there.
Apr 05, 2025 · Xtian ÁvilaMy waterfront balcony faced a parking lot (without water) and some ugly squat building. Room had an unpleasant odor and the hallways smelled like smoke. Wifi and cable reception were off and on all night. With the location being so close to NYC you'd think they make more of an effort to create an inviting stay for travelers. The best part of my stay was leaving. Avoid.
Nov 07, 2024 · o oHad an issue with the adjoining door not closing or locking fully. It was situated next to an "employees only" room. When I attempted to check if the adjoining door would fully lock and sit flush, someone yelled curtly from the other side of the wall, "Is there a reason you're attempting to enter this room?" I explained that I was just ensuring it was fully locked on my end, but they replied dismissively with, "Yeah, yeah, yeah." They then continued to make noise and fidget with the door on their end. Shortly after, I found a bed bug and immediately checked out. Management was supposed to call me today, but they never did.
