Hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. First, the location right next to the highway, which I’ve never had a problem with other hotels in the past. The hotel has paper thin walls and windows with no material to absorb the sounds coming from the highway. I kept checking to see if the window that didn’t open somehow magically opened throughout the night. That alone would’ve kept me up all night. But then there were other guests that decided to have a party at 2:30am and the employees did absolutely nothing about it. About 3 hours after the party started, the party moved to the parking lot of the hotel. Which would’ve been great except for the part where I previously mentioned that the windows and walls have negative acoustic properties. I continued to hear every sound from the party as it moved literally right outside of the window of my room and again management did absolutely nothing. A complete joke, I had about an hour of sleep the entire night. A horrible experience and if you need a suggestion for another place to stay near by you should attempt to sleep on the shoulder of the nearby highway as it might be a bit more quiet and cheaper than an actual room at the Comfort Inn.

Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds Introduce

For individuals searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the vicinity of the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, the Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds at 7010 Interstate Island Rd, Syracuse, NY 13209, USA, presents itself as an option. As part of the widely recognized Comfort Inn brand, it aims to provide a certain standard of accommodation and amenities. Its strategic location near the fairgrounds is a clear advantage for attendees of events held there, as well as for travelers passing through the Syracuse area.

The environment of the Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds, particularly regarding noise levels, is a significant point of feedback from past guests. The hotel's proximity to a highway, while offering convenience for transportation, has been noted as a source of considerable noise. Reviewers have highlighted issues with "paper thin walls and windows with no material to absorb the sounds coming from the highway," suggesting a lack of effective acoustic insulation. This can lead to disturbances from both traffic and other hotel guests. Instances of loud guest activities, including parties within the hotel and in the parking lot, have been reported to significantly impact the peace and quiet of the stay, with management seemingly taking little action to mitigate these issues. Therefore, guests sensitive to noise should be aware of this potential environmental factor when considering this property.

In terms of services, the Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds, like other hotels in its brand, generally aims to offer a range of basic amenities. While specific service details beyond guest complaints are not extensively provided, the presence of a front desk is implied, where guests can make requests or voice concerns. However, one review explicitly mentions dissatisfaction with the front desk's response regarding room amenities and handling of noise complaints. The lack of effective intervention by employees in addressing disturbances, even when a party moved to the parking lot, suggests a potential area for improvement in guest services and conflict resolution. Standard services typically include check-in and check-out procedures, and potentially housekeeping, though the efficiency or thoroughness of these services beyond the provided reviews is not detailed.

The features of the rooms at the Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds are designed to provide a comfortable base for travelers, though there appears to be inconsistency in the availability of certain amenities. One notable concern raised by a frequent traveler is the varied provision of in-room appliances. While refrigerators are present in some rooms (e.g., Room 118), microwaves are not universally available. This can be a significant drawback for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals to save on dining costs. The explanation provided by the front desk, that "some rooms have them," indicates a lack of standardization across all units, which might not be ideal for guests with specific needs or preferences. The fundamental features of the rooms would typically include a bed, a private bathroom, and climate control. However, the critical feature highlighted by a guest is the poor sound insulation of both walls and windows, leading to noise penetration from both the highway and adjacent rooms or public areas. This significantly impacts the ability to get a restful night's sleep, even if other physical amenities are present. The "no material to absorb the sounds" indicates a structural issue that directly affects the comfort and tranquility of the stay.

From a promotional perspective, the Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds leverages its brand recognition and its location near the New York State Fairgrounds. For individuals or groups attending events at the fairgrounds, its proximity is a primary selling point, offering convenience and reducing travel time. While the brand typically promotes a comfortable and reliable stay, prospective guests searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" should be informed about the specific challenges highlighted by real customer experiences. The promotional messaging would likely focus on the standard Comfort Inn offerings, such as complimentary breakfast (though not explicitly mentioned or reviewed in the provided text), free Wi-Fi, and comfortable bedding. However, based on the provided reviews, potential guests should temper their expectations regarding noise levels and the guaranteed availability of all desired in-room amenities, such as microwaves. The hotel's official contact information is (315) 453-0045 or +1 315-453-0045, allowing direct inquiries about specific room features or noise mitigation efforts. While the hotel aims to serve as a practical lodging solution, the objective introduction based on customer feedback suggests that travelers prioritize a quiet environment or consistent in-room amenities might need to explore all available options in the Syracuse area, considering the potential trade-offs for its convenient location.

Will not be staying here again. I travel 3 to 4 nights a week due to my job. I always make sure I get hotels that have in room refrigerators and microwaves as I bring a cooler with me. Much cheaper than going out. They put me in room 118. Why would you put me in a room with a refrigerator and not a microwave to heat up the cold food you pull out of the refrigerator? I asked the lady at the front desk while the rooms don't have microwaves. She told me some rooms have them. I guess since my company gets discount rates, we get treated like 3rd-class citizens

Not abnormally bad experience. Found someone else's socks in one of the beds and the toilet flush chain was held together with a paperclip. I figured that out because it wouldn't flush but I wasn't about to fix it. Several of the doors were refinished with wood screws throughout the hotel. The fitness room is just a few stationary bikes and a treadmill. Breakfast wasn't bad but the place is shabby. The parking lot is dimly lit but it's not in a bad neighborhood. It is surrounded by rv worlds camper and trailer inventory. Overall it was an overnight stay and it served it's purpose. But the sleep was noises from the sound of the highway.

The Hotel was in my opinion dirty and the lights were broken, had to fix them to work. Asked for a different room or to fix was and clean told out of rooms and that's what it was. Found possibly black mold/ some type in the tub and the room had cob webs was poorly fixed up. Wish it was better taken care of for the high traffic they get. The wall paper was peeling off and found a bug in room when checking out. Although didn't find lice or bed bugs that was good I always check that before bringing my luggage in.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in my lifetime, and this was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I paid 160$ for the night after taxes and everything I was eventually reimbursed 1/2 that’s cost because I complained to management. When we first pulled up I thought the place was abandoned, the windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. Got to our room…. -The elevator smelled the shit literal shit! -The bed/box spring was literally broken. -Nails in the door for whatever reason. -Peeling whatever you wanna call that in the photo. -The electrical outlet didn’t work at all, the top part was pushed in and when plugged in the bottom it gave no charge. -Some of the lights in our room didn’t work/bulbs blown out. -We tried using the only amenity this hotel has to offer which was a gym downstairs, the lights were blown out in the gym room so couldn’t use that. -Your free breakfast was barely cooked sausage and a rubbery omelet with cheese in the middle. Other than that it’s pre packaged danish/muffins. Fruit yogurt juice and milk. I had an event and was given a list of hotels in the area (I am not from Syracuse so I had no idea) I was on a time crunch and unfortunately didn’t do my research before booking, I honestly didn’t even wanna stay the night here they tried giving us a different room but it was basically the same situation. There was 2 big events in town the weekend I was there so going to another hotel wasn’t really an option unfortunately…I REALLY hope this post saves someone from booking a room at this hotel. It’s not worth the money in anyway! Supposedly they are doing a revamp of the place over the summer but I don’t believe they should be booking rooms untill the revamp is done and complete!!! If I could give this 0 stars I would!
