I was in need of a place to stay as the place I had booked was not clean. Was not told the place was under construction/remodeling when I called. When I asked for a reduced construction rate, was begrudgingly given one. When I arrived back at my room on Sunday afternoon, I was surprised to hear jack hammering down the hall and a construction workers dog running at me. When I asked at the front desk what could be done about the nuisances, I was told, "We're under construction." Basically: too bad, deal with it. The room is comfortable, but was not cleaned according to the schedule posted in the bathroom. I plan to be back in Bluefield next year, not sure whether I want to try to stay here again. Maybe it will be fine once the renovation are complete. Offering a reasonable "Construction Rate" up front w/o me having to beg for it would have smoother over many of the inconveniences. The discount I received wasn't enough.

Apr 08, 2025 · Ellen MandevilleThe building is run down. Air conditioner didn't work properly. Front desk staff was wonderful and friendly. The room was clean. Bed not that comfortable.
Apr 18, 2025 · JenniferMy wife, Aunt, and I stayed here on 5/15/25 to 5/18/25. The service was GREAT. Big shout out to Ms.Lorretta Lynn. You are the nicest person. And your service was top notch. You kept the breakfast are cleaner than any restaurant we visited on our entire trip. And this is the same thing we experienced in October. I would return just because of you. But the manager was just as sweet. We had a minot issue and boy she jumped right on it. This is what people expect for their money. I grew up in Bluefield and you all make me proud. Can't wait to come back for rhe Beaver Graham game. (Go Beavers) and yes I will be staying here. Thanks for everything and please give Lorretta a bonus. She does everything didn't ever see the woman sit down in 3 days.
May 19, 2025 · Carlton ThompsonThis hotel needs upgrading. I have stayed here several times in 20 years. This time the room was unacceptable. The bathroom door was hanging on one hinge, the chair and ottoman inthe room was dirty and stained. I found a dead bedbug in the bathroom. The shower curtain was dingy and the bath mat in the tub was stained.
Feb 20, 2025 · Teressa BeaversI chose to stay here vs Welch WV as I was told it was a run down ghost town. So coming from southern Georgia this is a 1.5 hr drive from my destination. It’s so bad I went to desk and requested to check out tomorrow morning instead of Sunday morning. Upon arrival they are painting and trying to update lobby. So it’s a construction job mess. I asked if there was coffee in rooms she’s “thinks so” when entering I struggled to get tv working but check got it! Gnats all in bathroom. Hairs all over shower sinks and toilet the microwave is filthy mcnasty the tv hasn’t been wiped if ever. The handle on fridge is full of crumbs n food and don’t walk barefoot! Don’t use coffee pots unless you deep clean it! The water has stuff floating in them!! I get this is a small town and the prices are a tad high for this but if you need a rest, then stop and rest!
