First, lack of parking. Not even close to match the amount of rooms of the hotel. Second, shower (and most likely, the whole bathroom) was not clean. I wanted to shower and counted 31 hairs in the shower with black dirt and grime on the shower floor. Lastly, walked bare foot for 5 minutes throughout the room and the bottoms of my feet were close to black due to the floors not being clean. What other corners is this hotel staff cutting in terms of cleanliness?
This introduction provides an objective overview of the Comfort Inn Philadelphia International Airport West, located at 1300 Providence Ave, Chester, PA 19013, USA. For local users and travelers searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the vicinity of Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) or Chester, PA, this hotel is a listed option. You can reach them at (610) 876-7211 or via mobile at +1 610-876-7211 for inquiries. However, based on the provided customer reviews, it is crucial to present a cautious perspective on what prospective guests might experience.
The Comfort Inn brand, generally part of Choice Hotels, typically aims to provide a reliable and comfortable stay with essential amenities. However, the experiences shared by recent guests for this specific location raise significant concerns that potential visitors should be fully aware of before making a booking decision. This objective introduction will detail the reported environment, services, features, and promotional information, focusing heavily on the critical feedback to provide a realistic expectation for those considering this hotel within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category.
The primary feedback regarding the environment and ambiance of the Comfort Inn Philadelphia International Airport West is overwhelmingly negative, primarily concerning cleanliness. One reviewer reported that the "shower (and most likely, the whole bathroom) was not clean," specifically counting "31 hairs in the shower with black dirt and grime on the shower floor." This indicates a severe lapse in basic hygiene standards within the guest rooms. Furthermore, the floors in the room were described as so dirty that walking barefoot for only "5 minutes" resulted in the "bottoms of my feet were close to black." Such conditions fundamentally compromise the comfort and inviting nature typically expected from any lodging establishment.
Another review painted an even more alarming picture, stating that "As soon as you walk in it smelt like piss and rotten pizza. Yellow sheets, food all over walls. Over all super nasty." This suggests a pervasive issue with cleanliness and sanitation throughout the property, leading to an extremely unhygienic and unpleasant ambiance. These descriptions point to an environment that is not only unappealing but also potentially unsanitary, making it difficult for guests to feel comfortable or relaxed.
Beyond the rooms, a crucial environmental factor is the "lack of parking. Not even close to match the amount of rooms of the hotel." This practical issue suggests that guests may struggle to find adequate parking upon arrival, adding immediate stress and inconvenience to their stay before even entering the hotel. This deficiency in a fundamental amenity further detracts from the overall guest experience and the hotel's ability to provide a smooth stay.
The provided reviews do not offer specific details about the direct interactions with the hotel staff or the general level of hospitality beyond the initial check-in process. The first review mentions a general concern about "What other corners is this hotel staff cutting in terms of cleanliness?", which implicitly questions the management and oversight of cleaning services rather than direct staff demeanor. The second review, originating from American Airlines providing the room, focuses entirely on the appalling condition of the room rather than staff interaction.
Therefore, based solely on the given information, it is not possible to objectively assess the quality of direct service or staff friendliness. The overwhelming issues with cleanliness overshadow any potential positive service interactions, as the fundamental promise of a clean and habitable room was reportedly not met. A hotel's most basic service is to provide a clean and safe environment, and when this is severely compromised, other aspects of hospitality become secondary.
Based on the provided reviews, the Comfort Inn Philadelphia International Airport West does not have any explicitly highlighted positive features or unique offerings that enhance the guest experience. Instead, the features mentioned are predominantly negative aspects or deficiencies:
The second review's description of the room as "super nasty" and the guest's decision to "Went straight back to the air port and slept on the chair" instead of staying at the hotel indicate a complete failure of the hotel to provide even the most basic acceptable lodging. This suggests that any standard features a Comfort Inn might typically offer are rendered ineffective or irrelevant due to the reported sanitary conditions.
Given the highly critical and negative customer feedback, it is challenging to present promotional information in a positive light without being misleading. An objective introduction must reflect the significant concerns raised by guests. Therefore, for potential guests searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" and encountering the Comfort Inn Philadelphia International Airport West, the promotional information should focus on managing expectations based on the realities reported by recent visitors.
Prospective guests should be aware that while the hotel is geographically close to Philadelphia International Airport and might appear as an option for budget-conscious travelers, there are substantial documented issues with cleanliness and potentially parking. If considering this hotel, it would be advisable to seek more recent and varied reviews, or to directly inquire with the hotel about their current cleanliness protocols and parking availability before booking. The "1 out of ten" rating and the decision to sleep at the airport illustrate the extreme dissatisfaction experienced by at least one guest.
In summary, while the Comfort Inn Philadelphia International Airport West exists as a lodging option in Chester, PA, its reported environment and condition present significant challenges. For travelers prioritizing cleanliness, basic hygiene, and adequate parking, the provided customer feedback strongly suggests a need for caution and thorough research before choosing this hotel within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category.

May 17, 2025 · Michael VaughnThe room was provided by American Airlines. And the hotel was so bad. Got the key went to the room. As soon as you walk in it smelt like piss and rotten pizza. Yellow sheets, food all over walls. Over all super nasty. 1 out of ten. Went straight back to the air port and slept on the chair. Super nasty!
Apr 15, 2025 · Robert HartnettAfter a very long travel day with a group of students, this location was the brightest spot of our entire day. The front desk was able to issue clean, comfortable rooms after 2am very quickly. They accommodated our timing and continued to help us throughout the morning with suggestions on activities and options for transportation. I can’t say enough good things about how we were treated here! Highly recommend!
Mar 25, 2025 · Jamie SullivanStayed here two nights. Overall meh, not a bad experience, but not amazing. The rooms are older, our bedspread and towels had stains, but they were clean and there wasn’t any mold or bed bugs or anything, so not the worst! The service was pretty good- our key card stopped working at one point and the guy at the front desk helped us out no problem. Decent breakfast with the normal stuff like waffles, bagels, eggs, etc. The location isn’t the worst- if you’re planning on taking public transit into Philadelphia, it’s not a great location, but if you’re driving, it’s only 20-30 minutes into the city, and it costs less than any of the hotels that are directly in Philly. Like I said, overall not bad but not great.
Jan 20, 2025 · Kathryn BrackenMohit Singh is so welcoming and efficient - he couldn’t be better! The room was neat and the beds so comfortable. Esha is so sweet and lovely. So, importantly, the breakfast was really nice - great coffee - Sagar Himachal is terrific.
