I must say the courtyard by Marriott in Boone, North Carolina has risen to the level of excellent service for the level of property that it is. Conveniently located very close to Appalachian State University and the ski resorts. There is limited parking basically just one car per room with available nearby parking and that might be the only minor drawback. We were greeted upon check-in with a smile and outstanding enthusiasm by front desk, professional, and our entire stay showed consistent appreciation for Marriott BonVoy status and our patronage. The courtyard bistro was very clean had a great ambience and reasonably priced. The outdoor fire pit in indoor pool and exercise facilities were added bonus. Although on the more expensive side for local hotel rooms, you’re absolutely getting service and value for your money.

May 10, 2025 · Sean KilmartinCan’t say enough good things about this hotel, but what makes it phenomenal is the staff. I requested an early check in, and they were able to accommodate that. The service was friendly from the moment I walked in the door. I chose this hotel because of the reviews about how welcoming they were to disaster survivors after Helene. And after discussions with Sara and Duane (not sure I spelled that correctly) I could tell that the people who work at the Courtyard are genuinely compassionate people who take pride in customer service and the community. Thank you for making our night, with lots of laughs and great conversation- and for a clean and comfortable stay. Shout out to the chef also, for making some great food and an even better espresso martini. Next time I’m in the area, I will definitely be back. Keep up the good work 👌
Jan 31, 2025 · S SNever actually stayed here, I wasn’t able to find a gym to workout at around 9 pm & i tried to sneak in to their fitness center as a last option. offered the front desk lady 100$ cash to let me in the fitness center and she told me she wouldn’t do it. Must be paying the employees well or maybe a case of stockholm syndrome. either way very impressive! If that was me i would’ve taken that in a second.
Jan 25, 2025 · Jon NelsonMy traveling party and I are checking out today and I want to make sure to recognize the management and staff for this hotel. Management has created a professional culture from the time you enter the property through the entire stay. The condition of the property very well kept in appearance and condition of all the amenities. Those who maintain this facility weren’t always seen but were behind the scenes making sure the our stay was everything we needed it to be. The food service and desk staff along with the daily housekeeping were outstanding. The food was very tasty and prepared to order with friendly service. The desk staff were always willing to provide help at a moments notice. Housekeeping made sure that every nook and cranny was clean and neatly cared for. I want to also commend the management which I’m sure worked hard to make sure all facets were flawlessly executed and setting high standards and expectations. As important was the culture that was created by the management. You could tell that all the staff were treating the guest like they would expect to be treated if they were the guest. All of this was done under the duress of recovery from hurricane Helene. My advice is don’t pass by the Courtyard Marriott in Boone North Carolina.
Oct 25, 2024 · Steven BallengeeI recently had the privilege of staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Boone, North Carolina, and I can honestly say this was one of the most remarkable hotel experiences I've ever had. My visit came at a particularly challenging time, following a massive disaster, but the staff at this hotel made it feel like a safe haven. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with warmth and genuine care—something that truly set the tone for my stay. The front desk staff deserves special mention. They went above and beyond to make me feel at home, offering assistance with everything I needed and even taking the time to check in on me throughout my stay. Every interaction was thoughtful and professional, and it made such a difference in my experience. The Bistro was another highlight, serving up delicious food and providing a cozy atmosphere to unwind after a long day. Whether it was a hearty meal or just a quiet place to relax, the Bistro always delivered. There was also something uniquely comforting about the living room area of the hotel, where I spent some evenings doing puzzles while enjoying the ambiance. What truly stood out, however, was how meticulously the hotel was maintained. Despite a constant flow of guests coming in from the field—many covered in mud from helping disaster victims—there was never a moment when the hotel wasn't spotless. I witnessed staff quickly and efficiently cleaning up any mess, no matter how small. The housekeeping team, in particular, was outstanding—always accommodating, professional, and cheerful. I must also mention the laundry room staff, who rarely get the recognition they deserve, but their hard work made a noticeable difference in the overall experience. The courtyard, complete with a fire pit, became my favorite spot to relax. It was an unexpected gem, offering a perfect setting to connect with others who were also working to assist the region in its time of need. I met people from all walks of life—disaster relief volunteers, insurance adjusters, FEMA personnel—and we all shared stories by the fire as if we were old friends. The sense of community and camaraderie here was palpable, and it was a beautiful reminder of the goodness in people. I never thought I’d return to Boone, North Carolina, but after this experience, I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re ever in the area, I can’t recommend the Courtyard Marriott in Boone enough. The exceptional staff, impeccable service, and thoughtful touches truly set this place apart. They don’t just offer a place to stay—they offer a home away from home.
