Me and my dog went to a funeral down here for my cousin. The room was great with zero complaints. Breakfast made to order no buffet. Now booking the hotel was my only issue I was told not to book by a 3rd party by the IHG reservation number because I wouldn't receive a free breakfast. So I went ahead and paid the $15 more a day and booked through IHG. I told them it was very important to have the breakfast because I had to be at a funeral at 9am and did not have time to go to a restaurant. I walked down stairs ready to eat at 8am. I was told free breakfast was not included with my room and I had to call reservations to see why. I was on the phone for 43mins just to receive my breakfast and made me late to the funeral. The lady who made the food was very sweet and extremely friendly. No complaints on day #2. When checking out i couldn't find anyone at the lobby just left my keys on there computer and rolled out. Being Short staff seemed like it was a issue here. P.s. the cleaning lady was a 5 star room was redone even though I said they didn't have to do the room.

Apr 17, 2025 · Laura LaPorteOur towels smelled like they'd been washed in a fryer. Really nasty smell. There was hair in the tub when we checked in. Maid service didn't clean anything while we were out, just made beds. Shower soaps and shampoos were half way filled. A/C made a terrible noise all night long. Staff was very helpful and responsive
May 09, 2025 · Michele DowneyAll my stars are for SAMANTHA!! The hotel's room service was a disaster, but Samantha was a hero. After repeated failures, she and another staff member personally came to my room at 9 PM to make my bed and provide fresh linens. Her dedication is the only reason this hotel gets any positive feedback. Management should take note of her exceptional service. Thanks for everything Queen!
Mar 14, 2025 · Keda PetersThe hotel overall wasn't too bad except for the fact that the pool and hot tub (one of the main reasons we booked the hotel for us and the kids) was shut down just a day or two before we got there for lack of keeping up with the maintenance and it acquiring black mold amongst other issues as told to me by the operations manager. The entire hotel had no heat the entire 4 night stay. The only areas heated were the rooms. Only one person worked the restaurant and he was great but just shows how the GM is cutting corners in places he shouldn't be. Also the hotel just looks like it's about a decade past needing a renovation (a/c units in rooms, vending machines didn't work, one of two elevators didn't work the entire time either). Every day we asked about the pool it was always told to us that oh it'll be open tmw. Never happened. The GM gave us about a third of our points back for the stay and used an excuse that he couldn't refund all of the points and did the usual blame it on IHG and then IHG blames it on hotel management. I'd skip this place until it's completely redone and choose one of the other beautiful hotels in the area. Overall, after the nightmare I had to go through just to get some points refunded which at the time of leaving this review they haven't showed up in my IHG account, it was definitely not worth staying here and having to deal with problems on a daily basis . Thats why we vacation and if there are problems I totally understand that things happen but when upper management doesn't respond, says they did but didn't and makes up stories to IHG that's where we draw the line. If it wasn't for Samantha this hotel would be in trouble.
