Jun 02, 2025 · David lewisAbsolutely the most enchanting place to stay in Boone if you're heading to the mountains or just passing through... The staff went out of their way to take care of us and our puppy. Shout out to the new manager who understands the travails of traveling with dogs... We had a lovely convo and appreciated her care for her customers. Our rooms were spacious and so comfy. From check in to check out we felt like honored guests. We can't wait to come back!
Apr 20, 2025 · jennifer stacyThis was our first time staying at Rhodes Motor Lodge, and we reserved a basic King room. The room was clean and had everything we needed. When I asked for extra linens and shampoo the next day, it was promptly taken care of. The bed was comfortable, and the tv was well positioned for watching while in bed. Rhodes was an excellent homebase for a weekend in Boone, and when we were too tired to go out on the last night, the onsite restaurant proved to be an excellent choice. I had the BLT salad, and my husband had the chicken fried chicken - both were tasty. The bartender made an excellent Old Fashioned. We will absolutely stay at Rhodes Motor Lodge again.
Jun 15, 2025 · Leigh Ann EllisWe visit Boone pretty regularly to see family but this is the first time we stayed at Rhode’s Motor Lodge. Overall I am giving this place 4 stars—some aspects were worthy of 5 stars but others sadly only earned 3. So like any good Gen X couple, we shall start by the airing of grievances. What do yall have against dressers? Serious question. Where am i supposed to put my socks and underwear? I don’t need a Gideon’s bible dresser and all that fancy stuff. Heck, I’d be happy with even a cubby (please no lockers). My recently retired husband could make them for a reasonable hourly rate. You see, as you get older you naturally progress from throwing your clothes on the floor to wanting to fully unpack the moment you arrive. Don’t ask me why, it just happens right after you start buying reading glasses at the drug store. Moving on, the coffee situation has got to change. I appreciate ya’ll have it and I don’t even mind walking to the lobby, but for all that is good and holy in the world, please have something other than French Vanilla creamer. It’s not right. Get two thermos’from Walmart and have one with half and half and one with 2%. Also while I’m at it, please make the coffee stronger. Now the good… The beds—very comfortable and clean. I slept like a baby. And the outdoor spaces were lovely. The fire pit and patio had a great vibe and were perfect for lounging. Offer some s’mores and it will be next level. But really, get a dresser.
