May 07, 2025 · Lindsey CassarinoI'm a Marriott Platinum member. This is an OK place. It feels a little worn down but not horribly. Staff is great. It's close to the main part of Lake Placid but not really walkable. One thing others have noted is the lack of complementary coffee. That is a fail.
Feb 02, 2025 · Jim DowneyRooms are outdated but have everything you need. Our room was surprisingly very large. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the fireplace considering the lower than normal temperatures during our trip! The bathroom in our room left a bit to be desired as there was mold on the ceiling and the shower curtain was too short resulting in the floor being absolutely drenched after a shower. We requested extra towels which arrived immediately.
Oct 26, 2024 · Sara D'AngeloI want to start with the rooms. They were nice enough however, the ceiling in the bathroom was chipping and cracking, and there were obvious terrible patch jobs done on the wallpaper. The laminate on our coffee table popped up halfway through our stay so you can tell it was a cheap fixed job glued back down. I do want to point out that during my husband and I stay we went down for the breakfast where it was all prepared by the guest dining area. Upon my husband getting ready to prepare a bagel, a female employee approached us and asked if we were apart of the ski team, my husband promptly replied “no.” She then goes on to harshly explain to us how the breakfast is for only the ski team that was also staying at the hotel. My husband already had a bagel in his hand, went to put it back since we were being told it wasn’t for us then she yells at him saying says “get that out of there!” (Saying to pick the bagel back up he was just reprimanded for taking).I understand why she didn’t want the touched bagel to go back but at the same time when you’re getting yelled at you are flustered and want to get out of the situation. Didn’t know we were going to get yelled at for making a simple mistake since most hotels offer complimentary breakfast to their guests.
Feb 17, 2025 · Maggie KowalPerfect place to stay when in Lake Placid! Stayed 1 night when visiting Whiteface and it was a very scenic drive and far enough away from downtown. Beds were very comfortable, pillows were great and parking wasn't an issue on a September Saturday even when getting in after 11pm. Staff we're very friendly, the restaurants breakfast was pricey but tasted good. Hotel was also very clean. Didn't get a change to use it but the pool and hot tubs were working and looked nice!
