Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown East

This hotel was absolutely terrible. First, we walked in and it was super dark, the lighting was terrible! The smell was gross! It smelled like mildew! The headboards were scratched! The floors had stains and the bathroom tile was cracked and missing grout! The window on the 24th floor was able to be opened so our kids could just fall out! Overall this hotel was 0/10. The pictures are very deceiving.

Booked a last minute room at this hotel recently for my family. For our purposes, the location was great since it was not close enough to times square for there to be any traffic problems since we were there on New Year's Eve. There is a parking garage directly around the corner which the hotel has an affiliation with, so parking is convenient and ended up being cheaper than getting a spot on my own at any of the other local garages. There is also a Duane Reade right on the corner for any last minute items you may need. If you don't mind walking, it is a very reasonable walk from the hotel to the times square or Central Park area so you don't need the car. The room we received was a king bed with a sofa bed. The sofa bed was, understandably, not the most comfortable thing but it was good enough and there was clean bedding provided for it in the closet. The king bed was also comfortable and everything was nice and clean. The members of the hotel staff that I interacted with were universally polite and helpful. The hotel was fully booked due to the New Year's Eve celebration, so things were a bit crowded but everything was handled professionally and there were no issues. Based on my experience I would definitely stay at this location again. I have been a Marriott customer for years and with very few exceptions I typically have a good experience every time I stay with them.

My recent stay was absolutely fantastic! The place was impeccably clean, which made for a very comfortable experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and always had a smile, ready to assist with any needs. One of the best parts was the location – it was super easy to get to everywhere I wanted to go because it was close to everything. Overall, a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend!

The rooms are a bit dated, but what you lose in comfort (mattress was not as fluffy as other Marriott beds, towels were hard 😂, and the bedding was on the ‘light’ side—sized tween?), you get back twofold in convenience of location. I’m not a big woman, and laying flat on my back in the bathtub left my bits out in the cold 🤧. Aside from this, I highly recommend for business trips, but not for vacationing 😂. Our room was not comfortable enough to sleep restfully, but maybe we got the “Elite Member” discount room, because the bedding didn’t even feel like it’s Marriott’s brand 👉🏾👈🏾. So your experience might be better there than mine. During the conference, someone had to be fighting the equipment in the gym and losing, because it was so disruptive to the meeting that some of us chuckled. I, myself, chuckled in jet lag to keep from crying in Eastern Standard Time. Overall, the staff members I encountered were awesome. The breakfast was $56 for no eggs on the croissant, coffee, orange juice, and a chocolate pastry, but it was fine, because staff made better suggestions after. Staff made everything better, actually. They can’t help that it’s an older building. They do their best and we support them❗️ Thank you, Sabrina and Skyy, for the wonderful stay 🫶🏾. Excellent views from the 29th floor. I really loved this hotel. The room was spacious and pretty new. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay again on my next real estate business trip.
