I stayed at the Courtyard Philadelphia City Avenue on two separate occasions within the past month and both stays were enjoyable. Both rooms were very comfortable. I especially appreciated the oversized chair with ottoman and side table as it was not only cozy, but convenient for working on my computer or relaxing with my cell phone. The rooms also had ample plugs as well as my favorite treat, a coffeemaker. Although, I must say that the hotel bistro makes exceptional coffee, an unexpected surprise! In addition, everyone I encountered was very nice. Upon checking in during our second stay, Floyd was a standout employee. He was a welcome face after a very long day and relatively late, unanticipated check-in. He's worth mentioning as he was so friendly and attentive to our situation. Overall, I really enjoyed everything about the Courtyard Philadelphia City Avenue and would gladly stay there again!

I’ve had a truly wonderful stay here. The staff has been exceptional throughout my visit. Edward, Ish- and Floyd were especially helpful, kind, and patient, consistently going above and beyond. William, the houseman, provided tremendous support and was always willing to assist whenever needed. I also want to commend the security team—Brian and Nelson—for making me feel safe and cared for during my entire stay. Their consistent check-ins and warm demeanor did not go unnoticed and were greatly appreciated.

My room was decent, and clean. But... hands down, the best part of the experience was the service. Ishmael was awesome checking everything in, and brought a lot of humor and positive energy. The next morning, I had the distinct pleasure of interacting with Jackie the interior Starbucks. She was amazing and made sure I had everything I needed, and showed me how everything worked with the buffet. I was impressed. Last, but not least, we needed a late checkout and Jose got everything squared away without a hitch. The team here is stellar, and I'd definitely stay again.

I’m not gonna lie I was nervous after reading the reviews of past guest ! ( didn’t find half of them to be true one bit ) Soooo here’s my experience! Beautifully renovated space from public areas to room . Plenty of parking , felt safe my whole stay ! Love that you have to have a key for elevator ! big box restaurant stores/ restaurants within feet for easy shopping eating ! Close to downtown got to spring garden street off 8th street in 22 minutes at 12:15 pm on a Tuesday ! Floyd at the front desk was kind and quick to get me checked in ! Michelle working night shift Into the check out pulling a dirty double 12 plus ! Still smiling and greeting guest with a smile ! I felt the need as a regular weekly monthly traveler to give this place its most recent updated review ! Enjoy your stay ! Did I mention I paid a mere $100 bucks for my over night stay !

I truly never write reviews, I work in an industry where they have a real impact, and yet I still felt compelled to post this. We were staying in Philly for a wedding and just wanted something clean and well managed. When we first checked in, we were met with a rude front desk agent who had no idea about any hotel amenities. When we asked about simple things like breakfast, she said she didn’t know and could not find out for us. When we got into the room, what looked clean at first glance turned out to be smelly and dirty upon every second look (grime build up in the bathrooms, dust everywhere). When we called and asked about how long the pool would be closed, the man who answered said until Monday (when we leave) and immediately hung up the phone. They knocked on our door at 8:30am asking if we were checking out, to which we said yes, mind you check out is at 12pm? Even after all of this I still wasn’t going to post a review, until upon checking out, after all of the rooms were confirmed paid, they told us they didn’t run the card for the last room of our party for some reason, and had to run the card again “so I can get my money”. It was unprofessional, unnecessarily rude, and triggered a fraud alert on the first card. We settled everything up feeling confused, and unclear about what charge went where. Even when we asked for paper receipts we were told this “was weird” because someone had already come and paid for our rooms… but then why was the last room not charged on the first card? All of this was just a terrible experience. We will certainly not stay here again if ever in Philly, and I hope someone in management can start to care about this place.
