Thanks to Hotels.com I was able to get a great rate on my stay at the Philly Inn & Suites. On my day of check-in I arrived at the location and was unsure until I was up on it that it was the correct address. The exterior looks more like a corporate office than an actual hotel. Also, as the main sign sits back off the sidewalk it wasn’t until my ride share was letting me out that I realized I was at the correct place. As check in is at 3:00 pm and I arrived at 11:30 am, I was unable to check in as there isn’t an early check in option. I asked if there was a business center and was advised there was not. As there was not a business area I sat in the lobby area and worked until it was time to check in. Sitting in the main area, which was very clean, I realized that the pictures online, though they are current, they had to be filtered. The Philly Inn & Suites looks a bit outdated, however, it has undergone a recent pair face lift. The colors are very vibrant and inviting. However, the foundational structure beneath the colors and amazing portraits is dated. Once I was checked in I headed upstairs to my room. I got to the third floor and the same remained true for the living area. Vibrant. Great paintings. Older structure, new reface via paint. I loved the colored room doors as it puts you in the mindset of elementary school (for me it did). Once I opened my door, I was pleased to be met with a clean room. A nice tiled floor, and a huge bed. The bathroom was a nice size and I loved the barn door. As I unpacked I looked further into the essentials of the room. Though the furniture was dated, it was in good condition and everything in the room worked. There wasn’t an actual closet, however, there were a few hanger options behind the entry door. The MOST important thing… The Bed was Clean, Bug Free, and COMFORTABLE and the Air worked. I would stay again but knowing what I know now I would go for a cheaper rate. If you’re in the area and want a comfortable stay that’s not long. Check out the Philly Inn & Suites. It’s quiet, clean, and the bed is comfortable.

The reface has introduced a modern touch, with bright hues and engaging artwork adorning the walls. The corridors leading to the rooms continue this theme, featuring vibrant colors and interesting paintings that add character. One unique touch that has been particularly appreciated is the use of colored room doors, which some guests find to evoke a sense of playfulness and individuality. While the underlying structure might suggest its history, the recent updates effectively create a comfortable and pleasant ambiance for guests.

Services and Amenities:

The Philly Inn & Suites focuses on providing essential services for a comfortable stay. While there isn't an early check-in option available, the hotel's focus is on ensuring a clean and ready room for guests at the standard check-in time of 3:00 PM. Have been here countless times while traveling from VA as well as staying here in Philly. This hotel is very conveniently located near the shopping center of City Ave which has the market and countless choices for eating. The rooms are very comfortable and cozy. would be nice to have more room in the fridge. I love what they did as far decorating the rooms very colorful on the inside. Better than when I stayed there as North American Motor Inn and it looked very bland.

The receptionist is horrible. I reserved and was there to check in; the guy at the front desk took my ID and confirmed my reservation. He asked if you were parking in the front. I said yes, and he said I will pay for parking. I told him I would park elsewhere and come to the hotel. He told me he would tow my car, and he threw my ID card in my face, cursing me out. He told me I was the manager and owner when I asked to speak with the manager. The guy has no respect for any customer. He shouldn't be at the front desk. I DON'T RECOMMEND GOING TO THE HOTEL.

Loved my time at the Philly Inn and Suites! Clean room, super friendly staff with free snacks at check in, a private parking garage. Modern rooms with nice, comfy beds. Came in for the Eagles Parade and would def come back.

This hotel is basically a "Get what you pay for" kind of thing. The location is great, the room was comfortable and clean, the décor is fun and the price couldn't be beat! We weren't disappointed and actually were pleasantly happy with our stay considering some of the reviews. The biggest inconvenience was the extremely low water pressure to the point that the shower would just turn off when you tried to get it hotter. When I walked into the hotel to check in I saw water dripping from the ceiling into a bucket in the lobby, not sure if it was related or not, but from other reviews, I wonder if it's been like that for a while and no one has bothered to fix it. The room and bathroom were tidy, our TV was grainy but we weren't staying long enough to complain. It was cool that they had a gate you had to go through to get in and out but the parking was a bit awkward. I wouldn't personally want to go in and out at night time. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a night or two tops, it's ideal. Honestly, if they fixed the water pressure issue and there wasn't a dripping ceiling in the lobby, I may have given it 5 stars. But showers are important in a hotel stay!
