I travel to San Antonio for work fairly often and I've stayed in this hotel twice. The first time wasn't positive, but this second time sealed my opinion that I won't ever stay here again. Pros: The front desk was very nice, and allowed me to check in about 90 minutes before official check in time. The little cafe spot in the lobby is fine (coffee definitely isn't Starbucks quality/strength) and I had breakfast there twice over my two stays. Cons: The rooms are dated and were due for a refresh about 3-4 years ago. My experience was consistent both in the summer and early spring... the rooms are pretty rough. In my most recent stay, the shower curtain was too short (clearly cut with scissors), the room smelled like a foot, the AC was too cold (so it didn't run long enough to dehumidify the room), the bed was really hard, the fridge wouldn't stop running, the toilets don't flush unless you hold down the handle (and even if you do, the power is insufficient, so they clog easy) ,and I found multiple bugs crawling around. Also, they are building something next door, so be prepared for construction noise starting around 6:30am and going till about 7pm. In my previous stay, over the summer, I had the same problem with the Air Conditioner working 'too well', so it only runs for like 3 minutes, which isn't long enough to dehumidify the room. The outcome is a room that is cool, but really humid (like 60-70% humidity). I had the same problems with toilet getting clogged, and generally the furniture is really worn and kinda gross. Overall, very poor experience.

Mar 23, 2025 · Levi LohrmanI’m never one of those picky people , not much to complain.. yet here I am . I love my Marriott rewards and use them often. This one took the cake for me on bad experiences. Two jacuzzi rooms and neither one worked , my room wasn’t stocked and was molded , had stickers in the carpet , and even the lobby was very u kept and dirty… a good vacuum would do the job even. Ended up getting free breakfast however doesn’t adequately fix the fact I went to relax in a jacuzzi tub for the only night I had available to spend a romantic night with the husband away from the kids.

Mar 09, 2025 · Artie MThis is a superbly run property. The front desk personnel are friendly and professional. Kay searched the system to give us a great rate. The manager Ruben resolved a booking issue for us. The restaurant staff made a great breakfast and served us with a smile. The room was fantastic. Obviously I can’t say enough and will be loyal to this property on my next stay in San Antonio.
