My stay was from Friday June 10 threw Sunday June 12. While staying at days inn I found that the staff and the housekeepers where very polite and very respectful. When I checked in on Friday it was late, but the staff and management where very nice and respectable people. The room was nice, the flat screen TV on the wall was a plus, and also the shower ran fantastic. The next morning which was Saturday they had free breakfast and it was also wonderful. When I ran out of supplies for my room the housekeepers had no problem with giving me new stuff right then and there. Also they took the dirty towels right on the spot as well. It was quite nice and clean. The only down fall was the pool area and that's because of to many kids and people so it was a little dirty. Other than that my stay was an A-. I will stay there again if I had to it was awesome.

The hotel's location in the Hurstbourne area of Louisville's East End is a key advantage. It provides relatively easy access to major thoroughfares, allowing guests to navigate to different parts of the city. While it's situated in a commercial area, offering proximity to various businesses and dining establishments, some guests note that the exterior might appear "run down" from the street, suggesting a more functional aesthetic rather than a luxury one. Nevertheless, its position offers convenience for accessing local attractions such as the Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville Zoo, Churchill Downs, and various shopping centers, all within a reasonable driving distance.
The Days Inn by Wyndham Hurstbourne aims to provide a straightforward and comfortable environment. The focus is on functionality and meeting basic guest needs, rather than extensive luxurious amenities. The hotel features interior corridors, which can contribute to a quieter atmosphere within the guest areas. The property has 107 rooms spread across 3 floors, with a generally low-key ambiance.
For recreation, the hotel advertises an indoor pool and a hot tub. However, it's important to note from recent customer reviews that the pool area, and specifically the hot tub, has reportedly been closed for some time, and in some cases, can be crowded or appear dirty due to heavy usage. This discrepancy between advertised amenities and actual availability is a point to consider for guests prioritizing these facilities. Beyond the pool, there isn't extensive outdoor recreational space, with the emphasis primarily on the indoor comforts and services. Some reviews have also mentioned issues with the general cleanliness of hallways and the lack of air conditioning in these common areas, which can affect the overall ambiance for some guests.

The Days Inn by Wyndham Hurstbourne stands out for several features:
Guest experiences at Days Inn by Wyndham Hurstbourne reveal a spectrum of opinions. Many guests have had very positive stays, describing the staff as "very polite and very respectful" and the overall experience as "quite nice and clean." The rooms are often found to be satisfactory, with amenities like flat-screen TVs and "fantastic" showers being appreciated. The complimentary breakfast is consistently highlighted as "wonderful." The responsiveness of housekeepers in providing fresh supplies and collecting dirty towels is also praised, demonstrating a commitment to guest service.
However, it's also important to acknowledge recurring criticisms. Some guests have noted that the "exterior of building very run down," which can impact first impressions. A significant concern revolves around the recreational facilities, particularly the pool and hot tub, which have been reported as closed for an extended period despite being advertised. There have also been mentions of unpleasant odors in hallways ("smell like pee") and a lack of air conditioning in these common areas, detracting from the overall comfort. While individual rooms might be clean, some reviews suggest that general vacuuming or mopping might not be thorough. These inconsistencies in maintenance and the availability of advertised amenities are important considerations for potential guests.
Despite these drawbacks, the strength of the hotel often lies in its staff's service and the value proposition. For guests prioritizing a clean bed, a functional room, and a friendly staff at a good price, it can be a suitable option. Jun 12, 2016 · DenickaExterior of building very run down, pool and hot tub has been closed for quite sometime obviously and the billboard advertises hot tub and pool so lack of keeping up on advertisement, halls smell like pee and no AC in hallways just the rooms. The room itself was okay, clearly not vacuumed or mopped well but the bed was clean. I would not stay here again. Spend the extra 30 dollars to go to the hotel right next door to it. Maybe under new management this place could be nicer if they did more updating.
Jun 09, 2019 · Harley GIgnore the bad reviews. We checked in for a 3 day 2 night stay, and for the price, this place cannot be beat. Despite our room being fairly close to the elevator, and them being pretty busy, it was very quiet. Our room was sparkling and clean, and we slept well, even with a toddler who is somewhat noise-sensitive and a light sleeper. Sam, the manager, and his staff were some of the most courteous friendliest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Air conditioner was nice and cold, and we wanted for nothing during our entire stay. Our every need was met. Indoor pool was nice, and continental breakfast was generous and good. Biscuits and gravy was hot, bread was fresh and coffee was good. (Note: breakfast is 6am to 9pm, and it goes quickly -- so get there early!)
Aug 31, 2017 · Jessica MoranThis hotel is an atrocity. I recently stayed here, and I can honestly say I have never been more disgusted. They promise hospitable greetings and clean rooms where everything works. This could not be farther from the truth. Upon checking in, the staff was rude, and I found my room to have a leak in the ceiling. I changed rooms, only to find ants crawling over my nightstand and bed in the morning after I had woken up. I, again, was to change rooms to have this one cleaned, but when I entered the room, the beds were unmade and the sheets were stained and dirty. I finally got a nonsmoking room, which seemed fine. Then I caught a whiff of smoke. The entire room smelled like marijuana. The entire hotel stunk of weed, really. This was definitely a bad decision. Not to mention the poor sanitation! There were used needles and syringes found in the hallway carpets. The breakfast was the exact same every day as well -- frozen biscuits, moldy yogurt, and gravy that will make your nose curl. If I could give this hotel a true rating from my experience, I would definitely be giving it negative stars. I will never be staying here again among the drugs, rude staff, and insects ever again, and I advise that nobody else ever does either.
Jul 19, 2015 · Megan NelsonCheck in fast and friendly even though a few guests were ahead of me. Room was nice and cool, the temp I prefer. Room spacious and clean. Bathroom spotless, towels nice and fluffy and white. TV nice, remote easy to use, had my favorite channels. Bed was superb! Breakfast well stocked, clean, but no fruit. Checkout quick, manager Sam at desk, very friendly...will return soon!
