For individuals in York, PA, or those planning a visit and searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham York, located at 334 Arsenal Rd, York, PA 17402, USA, is an available lodging option. The hotel can be contacted via phone at (717) 819-9781 or +1 717-819-9781. An objective introduction to this establishment, based entirely on the provided customer reviews, is crucial for potential guests to set realistic expectations.
The environment of the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham York appears to be a significant concern, as detailed by multiple guest experiences. One reviewer explicitly states, "The hotel is run down," indicating a general state of disrepair or lack of modernization throughout the property. This sentiment is reinforced by a specific issue with cleanliness: "The first room they tried to give us had bathtub rust," which points to a lack of proper maintenance and upkeep in the guest rooms themselves. While the address on Arsenal Road suggests a location potentially convenient to major roads and commercial areas, the internal environment is described negatively. The presence of "Loud noise by workers and other shady people" further detracts from a peaceful environment, suggesting issues with overall guest comfort and potentially a less-than-ideal atmosphere within the premises. This indicates that while the external location might offer accessibility, the internal environment may not provide a comfortable or well-maintained experience.
Regarding services, the feedback for Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham York is overwhelmingly negative, primarily focusing on severe customer service issues. A recurring complaint revolves around the front desk staff. One guest describes a specific encounter where the front desk lady was "quite rude" and displayed "abrupt response" without explanation, despite the guest being polite. The statement, "I don't care. They're not ready," in response to a room availability query, exemplifies a highly unprofessional and unhelpful attitude. This guest notes that this individual "seems to have a pattern of being rude to guests," referencing "numerous Google reviews complaining about the same lady wearing the blue face mask." This highlights a systemic issue rather than an isolated incident. Another review corroborates this, stating, "The response from the desk clerk was beyond rude." Furthermore, a fundamental service failure was experienced when a room was "not ready despite my arrival at 6:30 PM," and "No explanation was given" until the guest persisted. The initial refusal to apologize for the inconvenience and the general unfriendliness of staff members are critical service deficiencies that significantly undermine the guest experience. Such negative interactions can deter guests from even considering a return stay, regardless of pricing or other factors.
The features of Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham York, as depicted in the reviews, also point to significant deficiencies. The most immediate feature-related complaint is that rooms were "not ready," indicating a failure in basic operational readiness for guest check-in. Beyond this, a specific room issue cited is a "Toilet not flushing correctly," which is a critical malfunction of a basic in-room amenity and poses a significant inconvenience and hygiene concern for guests. The mentioned "bathtub rust" in a room initially offered further indicates a lack of proper maintenance and renovation of essential bathroom features. While Days Inn properties typically offer standard amenities such as free Wi-Fi, basic bedding, and potentially a complimentary breakfast, the provided reviews do not offer positive feedback on these. Instead, they focus on the malfunction and disrepair of crucial in-room features, suggesting that the basic functional aspects of the accommodations are not consistently met. The overall impression is that the physical features of the hotel are "run down," failing to provide a comfortable or fully functional environment.
From a promotional perspective, the information available for Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham York is heavily weighted by negative feedback. The most direct promotional message comes from a dissatisfied guest: "Save your money and go elsewhere." This is a severe indictment and a direct warning to potential customers searching for "Hotels Near Of Me." The repeated complaints about rude staff, specifically mentioning a pattern of behavior from a particular employee, present a major obstacle for any positive promotion. Similarly, the explicit mentions of a "dirty" room, "bathtub rust," "Toilet not flushing correctly," and a generally "run down" hotel directly contradict the fundamental expectations of cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality that guests have for any lodging, regardless of price point. While the hotel's location on Arsenal Road might offer convenience to some areas of York, this benefit is severely overshadowed by the operational and service deficiencies reported. For local users or travelers considering Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham York, it is critical to approach with extreme caution and be fully aware of the significant issues highlighted in these reviews. Given the nature of these complaints, it would be prudent for prospective guests to carefully consider alternatives or to contact the hotel directly at (717) 819-9781 or +1 717-819-9781 to inquire about any recent renovations or changes in management/staff training before making a booking, as the current public feedback suggests a high risk of a disappointing stay.

I've stayed at this motel a few times before with no issue. However, this time, the room was not ready despite my arrival at 6:30 PM. No explanation was given. Not only that, the lady at the front desk was quite rude. When I was checking in, she asked if I smoked. I tried explaining I didn't need too since I thought she was trying to up sell me a room. Her immediate response was, "It's a simple yes or no question." Again, no explanation as to why this information was relevant. I said "yes," despite booking a non-smoking room. I tried to say that it was fine if I was in a non-smoking room, and her abrupt response was, "I don't care. They're not ready." Only then was it made clear that housekeeping didn't have any rooms ready. I offered to leave and come back, which she said was fine. When I returned, only then did she apologise for not having a room ready; she still didn't tell me if I was put in a smoking or non-smoking room. I can tolerate a lot of things when it comes to motel stay given the low price and low rating. However, staff being rude without anything to warrant that reaction is not one of them. I hadn't raised my voice, swore, or insulted her, yet she was still quite rude and unprofessional. I would be willing to let this go had it not been for the numerous Google reviews complaining about the same lady wearing the blue face mask. She seems to have a pattern of being rude to guests. Regardless of her personal reasons, maybe don't stick her at the front desk. And maybe explain that she shouldn't take her frustrations out on the paying customers. It wasn't my fault housekeeping didn't prepare the room in time.

May 19, 2025 · Mindy DayThe lady that assist me in front desk the night of March 19, 2025 was very kind with a smile all the time and very informative. I was more pleasant with her assistance that the hotel itself. Good people like that should be I’m every hotel.
Mar 20, 2025 · Joe RivNo smoke alarm. Unclean bedding. Door looked damaged and let a huge draft of cold air in. No toilet paper holder. Disgusting shower/tub. Wifi was crappie and unsecured. No telephone. Looked like bug poop or some kind of droppings on the sheets. Most certainly not worth the money that was paid. Probably should be shut down quite honestly.
