Ceiling was peeling off, bed sheets smelled, they offered breakfast on the website but when we got there they said they no longer serve breakfast. The door latch lock was broken, blankets had cigarette holes and ash stains even though we were in the non-smoking room, there were questionable stains on the bed frame looking of bodily fluids, toilet water pressure was extremely low, and the bed itself was uncomfortable. The person on who checked us in was very sweet however the people who came to clean the room seemed like they were rushing us to get out and as we were in the car getting situated to leave, they threw their hands up at us as if they were irritated

Customer reviews for the Econo Lodge in Acworth present a stark contrast in guest experiences, which is important for an objective introduction. While some isolated positive reviews exist, the most recent and detailed feedback highlight significant concerns regarding the property's condition and services. One review notes "ceiling was peeling off," "bed sheets smelled," and "questionable stains on the bed frame looking of bodily fluids." Issues like "broken door latch lock" and "cigarette holes and ash stains" in a non-smoking room are also reported, indicating potential challenges with maintenance and adherence to property policies. Low toilet water pressure and uncomfortable beds are also cited as issues impacting guest comfort.
Another major point of concern highlighted is the inconsistency regarding breakfast, with guests reporting that despite website claims, breakfast is not offered. This discrepancy can lead to guest dissatisfaction. Furthermore, issues with cleanliness, such as "towels without blood on them" and reports of "roaches everywhere" and "mold on the ceiling," are highly concerning. The presence of "a lot of foot traffic at all odds of hours along with a sketchy cash policy" points to potential security or operational issues that might affect the overall guest experience.
While one review mentions the check-in staff being "very sweet," the overall sentiment regarding staff is mixed, with some guests reporting that the management and other staff may need reconsideration due to perceived rudeness, unwillingness to address issues, or general unhelpfulness ("hung up on guests"). Concerns about communication, such as unreturned calls to the front desk, are also noted. The mention of cat converters being stolen from other guests' cars further raises serious questions about property security. The general advice from several recent reviews is to use this hotel as an "absolute LAST resort" or to choose one of the "3 hotels in a 15-foot walk that are way nicer."
The hotel's classification as a 2-star property and its budget focus suggest that guests should anticipate basic accommodations. However, the recurring themes of cleanliness issues, maintenance problems, and inconsistent service delivery from recent customer feedback indicate that the actual experience may fall below even typical budget hotel expectations.
As part of the Choice Hotels family, Econo Lodge hotels participate in the Choice Privileges loyalty program. This program allows members to earn points on eligible stays that can be redeemed for free nights, gift cards, and other rewards across various Choice Hotel brands. While specific promotional offers vary by season and location, Choice Hotels often provides discounted rates for booking directly, for Choice Privileges members, and for groups, seniors, and military personnel. However, based on the customer reviews, potential guests considering this Econo Lodge property for its affordability should thoroughly investigate recent guest experiences before booking. It is advisable to directly confirm all amenities, especially complimentary breakfast, and to inquire about any current property conditions or renovations to ensure they align with expectations for a comfortable stay. The available customer feedback indicates that the hotel may not currently meet the basic standards expected, even for a budget option.

May 10, 2025 · Summer JThe room its self was that a room, needed towels without blood on them. The staff from the management down to who I checked in with may need to be reconsidered. I can’t believe choice would alllow this specific hotel to hang up on guests because of the nature of the call. I don’t what’s being sold but a lot of foot traffic at all odds of hours along with a sketchy cash policy. GBI would have a field day I imagine all i know I’m glad my CAT wasn’t taken off my car like 3 other guests. Don’t stay here there’s literally 3 hotels in a 15 foot walk that are way nicer and actually understand about being in the hospitality business
Apr 22, 2025 · demetrius smithThis place does NOT look like their pictures! $100 a night $20 back if you use cash. Roaches, black mold, drawers busted out dresser, cigarette burn in all bedding and curtains, smells weird and gross. Could smell it down the sidewalk when husband opened door, mattresses look 80 years old when we checked for bed bugs. Didn't see the roaches til my husband was asleep. Toilet seat way to big. Everything was beat up. I have pictures but I see it now won't let me post them.
