The primary features of Econo Lodge Knoxville revolve around its practicality and affordability. It serves as a straightforward lodging option for travelers who prioritize a low price point and convenient access to the highway and local attractions. The inclusion of free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast are significant value-adds. The pet-friendly policy is a distinct feature, appealing to travelers with animals. The presence of an outdoor pool and fitness center adds recreational value, though their consistent availability for use has been a point of feedback in customer reviews. The general aesthetic is that of a standard budget motel. Customer reviews, while highlighting the convenience of the location and friendliness of some staff, also point to significant concerns regarding cleanliness, particularly cigarette smells, stains on linens and mattress protectors, and general wear and tear of rooms and bathrooms. Reports of bugs (e.g., roaches) are also a serious concern mentioned by a reviewer. Additionally, issues with discriminatory practices or lack of understanding regarding ADA regulations (as reported by one guest concerning proof of disability for ground floor rooms) and inconsistent room availability for stated needs are critical points of feedback that potential guests should consider. These aspects suggest that while the hotel offers a basic set of amenities, there are areas where the guest experience may be inconsistent, particularly concerning room condition and customer service responsiveness to issues.

Get directionsOn our last and final stay at this hotel we go to check in. We have stayed here many times and most of the staff have been friendly. Mainly house keeping. We ask for a room on the bottom floor. The front desk guy says they have no rooms on the bottom floor. When we talked in there was 2 right in front. Blinds opened, cleaned, and noting wrong with them. He tells us they have been rented out already and the guest aren't here yet. We have stayed here enough to know that they dont hold rooms. He calls the what we are guessing was a manager and begins speaking in a different language so we can not understand.. He chuckles while looking straight at us. Very unprofessional making jokes at our expense. He asked to speak to us and tells us he will rent to us and says he doesn't want any trouble. We are very quiet and remain to ourselves and have never been trouble. Never spoke to this manager either. After hanging up he again tries to put us on the 2nd floor. One of us is disabled and they have no elevator and what they consider a ramp to the second floor is harder to get up than stairs. .."about the time we first stayed here, a few month back, and we told them one of us was disabled they wanted documentation proving it. Its illegal and violates a persons rights. We had to tell them that it was illegal to ask for such documentation and we would report them to the ADA. They granted our request." We still have no received a refund from them for the 2 night we paid for and had to go elsewhere because they couldn't give us a room on the bottom floor. Do not stay here they are awful and they discriminate. Someone needs to shut them down.
May 14, 2025 · Daniel LeeIf I could give it a 0 I would. It's so disgusting and dirty. The rooms smell like cigarettes and have cigarette holes in the bed sheets and all. The bathrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in a year with brown stuff everywhere. Overall disgusting and NEVER EVER WILL I BE BACK! The pictures look nothing like the rooms they have. The people that gave it good reviews have to be paid or work there. DO NOT STAY HERE! P. S there are bugs in the rooms (roaches, etc)
Apr 25, 2025 · M EstThis place rented me a short stay tried to charge me $75 but I was walking out on that, they said they willing to accept the $50 I'm used to paying for short stays. Do you know this guy gave me the room of horror. I wouldn't leave a dead dog in that room.
Mar 19, 2025 · Lakina WilliamsWould absolutely not recommend staying here. We paid $160 for 2 nights only for the heat to set off the fire alarm, roaches, and one of the lights majorly flickering which almost triggered a bad migraine for my wife. The tub also had this gritty white/clear stuff all over the inside of the tub as well as the walls and the handle. When we arrived the whole bathroom smelled like pee, and the toilet was clogged. There was also mold along the toilet and bathtub as well The floors were not clean from get go. My 4 year old was playing around in the floor and her socks and bare feet were both black by the end of the first 10 minutes we were there. My wife's shoes were sticking to the floor with every step. The mini fridge could not keep anything cool even at the coolest temp. The blankets were ridiculously thin. The security door latch, was either cut off or broken off so we couldn't even use it. When we went back to the room, the lady was there cleaning it already even though check out was done yet and they say for under 3 days stay they do not do cleaning unless requested. There was no one there to check out. The only positive was the stay was cheap. However it ended up costing more than what was advertised online.
Nov 24, 2024 · andrew tolliverI travel for work and this is Not the best. They need new blankets and pillows. The exact reason I travel with my own. Wasn't the best
