A little disappointing compared to the other Tru hotels we've stayed at. Pro's are it's modern, clean and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast choice wasn't as good as other locations and I missed the pool table and outdoor areas we've had at these. The biggest issue with the hotel as others have said is the road noise as it's yards from a busy freeway. The windows and general construction aren't enough to keep this down to acceptable levels, so if you stay here I'd advise earplugs and avoid the low numbered rooms on each floor as they're closer to the road.

While its immediate proximity to the interstate offers excellent accessibility, it's important for potential guests to be aware that this can lead to road noise. Some past guests have noted that the hotel is "yards from a busy freeway," and that "the windows and general construction aren't enough to keep this down to acceptable levels." Therefore, if you are particularly sensitive to noise, it may be advisable to request a room further from the road or consider bringing earplugs, especially for rooms with lower numbers on each floor that are closer to the highway. Despite the potential for road noise, the location is generally praised for its convenience to amenities and ease of access to major thoroughfares for exploring Knoxville and its surroundings. Common breakfast items typically include hot options like eggs and sausage, as well as continental choices like cereals, pastries, and fruit.
However, it is crucial to address some significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews. There have been severe complaints regarding cleanliness and guest service, including reports of "bedbugs" in rooms and an alarming lack of concern or assistance from staff in resolving these issues. One review explicitly states: "THE HORROR, THE GASP, THE AUDACITY, THE HORROR, THE BEDBUGS!! NO HELP! NO REFUND! NOTHING! SQUISH YOUR RESERVATION LIKE A BUG BECAUSE THEY WON’T SQUISH THEIR BUGS FOR YOU!!!" Another detailed account from a Hilton Honors member of over 20 years describes a "worst experience with the worst staff experience," citing issues with room assignments differing from app check-in choices and then finding bedbugs in multiple rooms without adequate staff response or offer of alternative accommodations. These are serious allegations that prospective guests should be aware of, and it is recommended to consult the most recent reviews and potentially contact the hotel directly to inquire about their current pest control and customer service protocols if these concerns are paramount.
The hotel states it follows the cleaning and disinfection practices of CleanStay (Hilton), and implements safety features such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, first aid kits, and window guards. Guests are also provided with free hand sanitizer, and social distancing measures are in place. Acrylic shields are typically present between guests and staff in main contact areas.

Feb 05, 2025 · Paul WrightTHE HORROR, THE GASP, THE AUDACITY, THE HORROR, THE BEDBUGS!! NO HELP! NO REFUND! NOTHING! SQUISH YOUR RESERVATION LIKE A BUG BECAUSE THEY WON’T SQUISH THEIR BUGS FOR YOU!!! A Hilton Honors member for more than 20 years. Travel weekly and stay at Hilton locations but this was the worst experience with the worst staff experience. Any number of things the staff could have done for a better rating, a simple “I am so sorry for this experience” would have deterred an online rating like this but the lack of concern or effort freaks me out for the next guest! I was frustrated, when the rooms I chose during the app check-in had been given to other guests before my arrival time selected. Then to find bedbugs in both rooms that were no longer the ones I selected, and no longer side by side, was the last straw! Son’s graduation was the reason we had a reservation for 8 months before staying. No assistance to find other accommodations the day before graduation, and staff who freaked out in the room then acted unconcerned and that the problem was ours once they came to the front desk was inexcusable!!! #nevergoingbackEVER #DIRTYANDBUGGEDKNOX
May 18, 2025 · Rachelle KeenOverall, it's a budget hotel and that's the mentality you need to have. The accommodations are dorm room small and utilitarian at every corner. However, this one was not as clean as you'd hope from a Hilton partner. Noticable mildew on the seal and grout of the shower, as well as it not being very clean. There were other areas with similar dirt that just didn't seem like they tried to clean. Pillows are terrible, they go flat almost instantly. Thermostat display was broke and the room walls are paper thin. The bed was clean and I was able to get some sleep, otherwise it would have been 1 star.
Jan 12, 2025 · Nick NAWe originally had a reservation for five nights, but changed it to 3 nights (which we could do up to 24 hours of the reservation WITHOUT PENALTY.) When we arrived, they changed our rates....the 3 days now cost more than the original 5 (almost $900🤬). When we asked to speak with the manager, the woman said the manager was not in. As I write this, the manager STILL has not been available to speak with, and Hilton Honors was ZERO HELP when my wife contacted them for help. The room was pretty bad...ZERO storage, tiny, very slow to drain shower, horrible water pressure, and roaches🤢🤮. Found this little critter (see picture) in the shower the morning after I showered on the first night. Stay clear of this place, unless you're absolutely desperate.
May 17, 2025 · Dan and Dara BarberAC in room broken. Mattress lumpy. Shower moldy. WIFI in and out. Absolutely will NOT be back unless there are no other choices. Even the water fountain was broken. This place has gone down hill from slightly decent to pretty bad.
