Con: I was on the 3rd floor on the north side of the building closer to the street. The noise from the cars was not my favorite. EVERYTHING else was great! This was my first time staying at an Element hotel. I have been using Marriott hotels as my first choice since the late 90's. I was impressed with the use of natural elements as well as the Happy Hour. I missed breakfast both days. The pool and outdoor sitting area were both inviting. There is on-site laundry and a 24 hour fitness center. I did not expect the kitchenette in the room, but it was a definite plus. Had I known that the bikes were available for use, we would have used them for sure. The luggage carts were nice to use in lieu of the traditional ones. I will definitely consider the Element brand in the future.

They daily breakfast was outstanding. And there’s a beautiful restaurant called the Concourse Club. It’s a Rooftop bar with good food, drinks and music on Friday and Saturday nights. Definitely my go to hotel when I’m in town.

The rooftop nightclub has a live DJ blasting loud music until 1 AM, and the noise carries through the entire building—even with your door closed. The pounding bass and drums make it impossible to sleep, and the walls literally vibrate from the sound. I called the front desk to complain, but they said there was nothing they could change. After checking online reviews, I realized this nightclub is well-known, and the hotel management is fully aware of the issue but chooses not to warn guests. If you’re not here for the nightclub, do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This is not a typical hotel experience.

We dressed nicely and brought out our professional camera to take photos with some copies of my new book. We chose the element for its stunning interior design. We were planning to stay the night and continue celebrating. However, that was ruined by the unprofessionalism and rudeness of a man on the hotel’s staff. The woman there tonight was nice and greeted us. The man walked up to us with no smile, no greeting and a cold demeanor. He asked if we had a reservation there and I told him we planned to stay the night once we were done with our photos. He told us we were unable to continue taking photos without the reservation. This isn’t the issue. I would’ve gladly made the reservations, got our room and got comfortable to then continue our photos if he was more welcoming. This hotel is way too elegantly designed and high priced for such a cold approach. The correct way to approach us would be with a smile, be personable and gain rapport-Find out the special occasion and offer his help. Long story short we left and won’t be back.

The room is nice and appears clean. The breakfast is mostly continental with the limits of a cook making fresh eggs. There are no other hot options.
