Unwind and relax! Just spent hubby’s birthday weekend at Elk and Embers! If you are looking to disconnect this is the place for you. Our glamping tent was surrounded by spectacular views of the mountains, the wrap around balcony provided an incredible place to relax and have a cup of coffee watching an amazing sunrise and listening to the birds. The actual luxury ten has all the amenities you could ask for, super comfortable bed, a gorgeous bathtub and shower, coffee bar and a mini fridge. The property itself has many trails that can be enjoyed or you can drive to the numerous trails in the area. We did Max patch, Cataloochee Valley and Balsam Knob and it was unbelievable beautiful. There are a couple of common areas with fire pits, chairs, benches, swings where you can sit and enjoy the view. Our unit also had a fireplace and a firepit. You get a golf cart to explore the property. A daily gourmet breakfast is delivered to the room at 9 am. Cleaning crew was kind and helpful, manager available over the phone via text also very very helpful. Can't wait to be back and bring the rest of the family. We found a GEM!

Serenity Found! Our stay at this all-inclusive cabin on top of the Smoky Mountains was absolute bliss. Delicious breakfasts and lunches prepared for us, leaving us free to explore and soak up the natural beauty surrounding us. They made travel around the Mountaintop easy with the all-terrain golf carts letting us keep our car parked until we actually left the property. Our family stayed in the other cabins so it was nice to be able to take a little ride to get to them, while still keeping privacy while on vacation. The outdoor showers were a highlight - washing away the day's adventures under the stars. Cozy cabins, plush beds, and breathtaking views made us feel like we were home. We loved having coffee, tea and drinks available to us at all times in our room, and we can't forget about the treetop canopy trampoline, my son absolutely loved jumping on it. We left a piece of our hearts here and can't wait to return.

Our five-night stay at Elk and Embers was nothing short of perfection! We were greeted with exceptional hospitality from the moment we arrived, and every detail of our experience was carefully thought out. The housekeeping staff was incredible—our rooms were not only kept spotless every day but were also beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and luxurious retreat. The personalized breakfast and lunch delivery made our mornings and afternoons effortless, with delicious meals arriving right at our doorstep. The in-cabin refrigerator was kept stocked with snacks as well as drinks and cocktails of our choosing. The fresh mountain water delivered to us daily was more than we could have ever requested. Beyond the impeccable service, the adventures were endless! We had an absolute blast zooming around the property on our personal golf cart, exploring every hidden gem (see if you can find the waterfall tree for yourself). The hiking trails were stunning, leading us through forest trails, scenic overlooks, and waterfalls. And as night fell, the starlit skies were spectacular: our star gazing evenings were magical with no light pollution. One of the most special aspects of the Elk and Embers property is its rich history and incredible location—bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The natural beauty and historic charm of the area added so much depth to our experience, making it truly unforgettable. This was, without a doubt, the most fun I’ve ever had on an all-inclusive trip. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly adventure, relaxation, or a little bit of both, Elk and Embers delivers beyond expectations. We can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed at Elk & Embers in February and it was exactly the kind of escape we were hoping for. The flight into Asheville was simple, and the drive to Waynesville was beautiful. The property felt peaceful and quiet, like a little hidden pocket of calm. Our cabin was absolutely amazing! It was comfortable, spacious, and the bathroom was a standout with a big shower (with an outdoor shower as well!!) and a deep soaking tub that made it easy to unwind. We took the on-site trail to the waterfall and enjoyed our sandwiches that had been delivered to us from the staff in the morning. They were genuinely kind and helpful, always making sure we had what we needed without hovering. It was one of those trips that leaves you feeling rested and already planning a return visit.

I can’t put into words just how fabulous this whole trip was but I’ll try! From the moment we arrived you could just feel the serenity and beauty all around us. We were celebrating our anniversary and now we want to come back every year to celebrate at Elks and Embers because it was the perfect place. The luxury at this resort is top notch. From the attention to detail in our cabin to the mountain views and everything in between was more than we hoped for. What a special place and most memorable time we had. We can’t wait until we get to come back!
