Its an older hotel but it was pretty clean!!! Very quiet and not that expensive through Expedia. Convenient drive to Manhattan, although the traffic was a mess as always. I was not willing to pay 4-600 dollars a night in NY. The staff was friendly and accommodating even at 1am in the morning. Would definitely return in the future.
When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Fort Lee, New Jersey area, the Executive Inn - Fort Lee, located at 2339 Rte 4 E, Fort Lee, NJ 07024, USA, emerges as an option that often appeals to budget-conscious travelers looking for convenient access to New York City. This establishment, while described by some as an "older hotel," generally aims to provide a functional and affordable stay. Potential guests should consider the full spectrum of experiences reported by previous customers to set realistic expectations.
The Executive Inn - Fort Lee boasts a highly strategic location that is its primary draw for many guests. Situated on Route 4 East, it offers exceptionally convenient vehicular access to Manhattan, particularly via the iconic George Washington Bridge, which is approximately 3.1 miles (5 km) away. This proximity means that while traffic can be "a mess as always" as one reviewer noted, the commute into New York City is relatively direct and significantly less expensive than staying directly within the city. For travelers not "willing to pay 4-600 dollars a night in NY," this hotel offers a viable alternative. Beyond Manhattan, the hotel's location provides easy reach to local Fort Lee attractions and the broader Bergen County area. Nearby points of interest include the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory and Columbia University Irving Medical Center, making it potentially suitable for those visiting these institutions. Public transportation options, including bus routes to Manhattan, are also accessible. The immediate surroundings, being on a major route, might be characterized by typical roadside commercial developments. While the area might not be a pedestrian's paradise, the strong connectivity to major arteries is a clear advantage for those traveling by car. Free self-parking on-site, including options for RV/bus/truck parking (though a surcharge may apply), further enhances its appeal for drivers.
Executive Inn - Fort Lee provides a range of basic amenities designed to meet the needs of most travelers. The hotel has 184 rooms spread across 6 floors. Each room typically includes air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable temperature. Standard in-room features often consist of a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower, free toiletries (though availability and quantity have been a point of contention in some reviews), and a hairdryer. For convenience, rooms are equipped with a desk, iron/ironing board, microwave, mini-refrigerator, and coffee/tea maker. Entertainment is provided by a 32-inch LCD TV with cable channels. Complimentary wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) is available in all rooms and public areas, a crucial amenity for both leisure and business travelers. The hotel also offers a 24-hour front desk, a business center with a computer station, and meeting/conference facilities. Guests can benefit from express check-out, luggage storage, and a safe at the front desk. For fitness enthusiasts, a gym is on-site. The hotel is noted as being "couple-friendly" and generally safe for unmarried couples. While some sources mention a swimming pool, others indicate it might be closed seasonally (e.g., from September to May), so it's advisable to confirm its availability. The property is smoke-free with designated smoking areas. Importantly, service animals are welcome and are exempt from fees, though pets are generally not allowed. A damage deposit is required upon arrival, typically collected by credit card.
The hotel's key features center around its value proposition and accessibility. Many guests find the pricing to be "efficient in price in the area," offering a more economical alternative to New York City hotels. The rooms are generally described as "pretty clean" and "very quiet" by some, with comfortable beds and pillows being a consistent positive point. The presence of a 24-hour front desk is beneficial, with some reviewers noting that staff are "friendly and accommodating even at 1am in the morning." This speaks to the hotel's commitment to round-the-clock service. However, it is essential to acknowledge significant inconsistencies in guest experiences. Some reviews sharply criticize the hotel's cleanliness, amenities, and staff demeanor. One particularly negative review described a "nightmare" stay, citing a "filthy" room, "cigarette holes" in blankets, an "alarming unsafe" atmosphere, and a severe plumbing issue that flooded the room. This guest also reported unhelpful staff who refused a refund or room change. The "breakfast" offering has also been a point of strong dissatisfaction, described as "a complete joke" with "nothing but junk food." Issues with non-working coffee makers, old and malfunctioning remote controls, TVs showing "no signal," and a "nasty wet dog smell" in hallways have also been reported. These contrasting views suggest that while some guests find the hotel perfectly adequate for a budget stay, others encounter significant issues that detract from their experience. The hotel is in "desperate need of a renovation" according to some, pointing to its "older" nature.

Nov 04, 2024 · Ayesha HoltThis hotel was the most efficient in price in the area. We came to area for a family emergency. Staff was not very friendly or customer service oriented. The "breakfast" they serve is a complete joke. Nothing but junk food, no actual food. Basically they went to a convenience store with crackheads and prostitutes standing outside begging for spare change outside of it and got there snacks they called breakfast from there. This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. As far as the room is concerned. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The coffee maker did not work. The hallways had a nasty wet dog smell that comes primarily from the carpet. The remote control was old and barely worked. When you turn the tv on it says that there is not signal. The front desk knew that but failed to tell us when checking in, hence to bad customer service. Should put tv guides in all rooms. Bathroom need updating for sure. The bathrooms have no lotion, shampoo or conditioner. Barely any soap. They kept running out of towels and wash cloths.
Nov 15, 2024 · Andrew DavisThe hotel staff was amazing! Anything we needed they provided it with a smile. The rooms were clean and very welcoming. It was also very convenient to the city without city prices.
Dec 01, 2024 · Kimber GormanI saw the other reviews about the walls being paper thin, which I can wear ear plugs to bed so that wasn't a problem. And I don't really care about dated decor. Pros: - plenty of parking - location is close to nyc for the best price - front staff was friendly Cons: - dated was fine but everything seemed dirty. The carpet in the hotel room floor had sticky spots which made me want to keep my shoes on - the room had a chemical smell which was why I turned on the air conditioner which still made it smell but at least it felt like the air was circulating which leads to the next issue - there were no blankets so I had to really layer up and still woke up cold - the elevator was scary. One was out of commission and the other really squeaked and I was scared of it breaking down so I used the stairs to get from the lobby to my room on the 5th floor. I would say, if you can swing it, just pay more for elsewhere.
Oct 27, 2024 · Betty SiuThe good; The location is convenient. Breakfast is solid Staff were friendly Plenty of hot water The bad: The hotel is a bit rundown There are no blankets in the rooms The towels had hair in them. There isn't enough shampoo The hallways feel dirty The room is being cleaned with a very strong chemical that permeates everything and is overwhelming.
