I will start by saying the front desk was great!! Everything else was HORRIBLE. we chose this location because it was the closest to a hospital we needed to be near. We did see some of the negative reviews, but assumed this location would have fixed the errors from said reviews. NOPE. The front office is clean, smells great! But the minute you get off whatever floor you are on, it is a different story. The smell of cigarettes, and weed hit you in the face. As we walked down to our room, there was cigarette dust noticeable on the floor. When we got into the room itself. The smell was even worse. The walls look like they haven’t cleaned them at all. The wall behind the stove are warped. The gas burner had corrosion noticeable on them. The window was cracked. (We were told they did that to all the rooms.. makes sense now) with bugs on the window sill. The bed had mattress covers to hide under the bed and that was tattered. The drawer to the bedside table had stains and the smell was even worse after opening it. My husband and I drove over 1,000 miles and were excited to be able to sleep and rest, but we did not even unpack what we brought. We checked out immediately. As we left, I stepped over many cigarette butts. And there was a small baggy with pills on the ground. If you need to stay in an extended stay for any medical, personal, family needs, find somewhere else. This was a nightmare in itself. And thankfully my husband and I have found other accommodations. We are in the process of refunding what they already took.

Extended Stay America - Hanover - Parsippany Introduce

Welcome to the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, your go-to resource for finding accommodations that suit your needs, whether you're looking for a short stay or an extended visit. Today, we're taking a closer look at Extended Stay America - Hanover - Parsippany, located at 125 NJ-10, Whippany, NJ 07981, USA. This establishment is part of a well-known chain designed for guests requiring longer-term lodging, often featuring in-room kitchens and amenities geared towards a more home-like experience.

When considering an extended stay hotel, key factors include the environment, available services, unique features, and any promotional offers that might enhance your stay. It's important to provide an objective introduction based on publicly available information, including direct feedback from past guests, to give you a comprehensive picture.

Extended Stay America - Hanover - Parsippany can be reached at (973) 463-1999 or via mobile at +1 973-463-1999. As an extended stay property, it typically caters to individuals or families who need accommodations for several days, weeks, or even months, often for reasons such as corporate relocation, temporary work assignments, medical treatments, or home renovations.

Let's delve into what you might expect regarding the environment of this specific location. Based on customer reviews, the initial impression upon entering the front office is generally positive. Guests have noted the cleanliness and pleasant aroma of the front desk area, suggesting a well-maintained common space for arrival and departures. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that the reviews indicate a noticeable change in environment once you move beyond the lobby. Some guests have reported strong odors, specifically of cigarettes and cannabis, on the guest room floors. There have also been mentions of visible cigarette debris in hallways and cleanliness concerns within the rooms themselves, including cigarette dust on floors and issues with wall and fixture maintenance. Specific comments refer to warped walls behind stoves, corrosion on gas burners, and cracked windows, some of which reportedly have bugs on the sills. These observations suggest that while the public-facing areas might be well-kept, the condition of the guest rooms and hallways could vary and might not consistently meet cleanliness expectations for all guests.

Regarding services, Extended Stay America properties typically aim to provide essential amenities for long-term comfort. This often includes in-room kitchens, allowing guests to prepare their own meals, which can be a significant cost-saving benefit for extended stays. While the brand generally advertises "breakfast on the go," one review specifically states that there was no breakfast available at this location, which is a point of concern for potential guests who might be relying on this service. Another important service aspect is customer support and responsiveness. A review mentioned issues with an in-room phone not working and requests for repair going unaddressed after several attempts, indicating potential shortcomings in maintenance and guest service follow-up. Furthermore, a critical point brought up by a guest concerned the refusal to provide a handicapped room despite the need, citing booking discrepancies. This highlights a potential area where guests with specific accessibility requirements might face challenges, and it's advisable to confirm ADA-compliant room availability directly with the hotel prior to booking, especially if using third-party booking platforms.

The features of Extended Stay America properties are generally designed to offer a more independent and self-sufficient stay compared to traditional hotels. The presence of in-room kitchens with appliances like stoves and refrigerators is a hallmark feature, although reviews have raised concerns about the condition of these appliances. Other features typically include a bed, a desk area, and a private bathroom. However, the quality and maintenance of these features at the Hanover - Parsippany location have been questioned by guests. Specific mentions include tattered mattress covers that appear to hide underlying issues, stained bedside table drawers with unpleasant smells, and a general sense that rooms are "old and very unpleasant." The policy regarding key card replacement, where guests are charged if they lose their key, is another operational feature that guests should be aware of. While not uncommon, it's a detail that can impact the overall guest experience.

As for promotional information, extended stay hotels often offer discounted rates for longer bookings, weekly rates, and sometimes special packages for corporate clients or those undergoing medical treatments. While no specific current promotions for Extended Stay America - Hanover - Parsippany are explicitly mentioned in the provided text, it's common for the brand to have these types of offers. Potential guests are encouraged to check the official Extended Stay America website or contact the hotel directly to inquire about any ongoing promotions or loyalty programs that might be available for extended stays. Given the competitive nature of the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, it's always advisable to compare rates and read recent reviews before making a booking decision. The reviews provided here, while critical, offer valuable insights into the actual guest experience at this particular location, which can help in setting realistic expectations.

In summary, Extended Stay America - Hanover - Parsippany aims to provide a functional and independent living experience for long-term guests within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. While the front office environment appears to be well-maintained, prospective guests should be aware of the consistent feedback regarding cleanliness, odors, and maintenance issues in guest rooms and common areas outside the lobby. Services like breakfast and phone functionality have also been points of contention for past guests. Features such as in-room kitchens are a core offering, but their condition might vary. For those considering this hotel for medical, personal, or family needs requiring an extended stay, it is highly recommended to contact the hotel directly for the most up-to-date information on room conditions, available services, and to confirm any specific requirements like ADA-compliant rooms. Exploring alternative accommodations in the area, as some reviewers have done, might also be a prudent step to ensure a comfortable and satisfactory extended stay.

This hotel is horrible. My father spent a week here after a medical procedure. He needed a handicapped room as he was wheel chair bound and they refused to provide him one because "we didn't book an ADA room on the website". They advertise breakfast on the go, but there's no breakfast at all. The room was old and very unpleasant. They charge you if you lose your key card. His phone didn't work in the room and they never fixed it after asking several times. After his week reservation was over, I moved him to the Sonesta which ended up being SO much better! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Me and my boyfriend never get hotels and would rather sleep in the car for these kinds of reasons, but we've NEVER had this bad of an experience. We stayed in room 107. There was Wendys trash left under the bed and bracelet beads on the floor. I have my cat staying with me, the beads are especially a safety hazard. There was literal dirt and grine all over the toilet aswell. The TV was also on when we entered the room after checking in, which caught us off guard thinking NOBODY cleaned this room before we came. The staff I was talking to the day before and the day of check in (over the phone) also gave me extreme attitude when i was asking simple questions about check in time. The lady i had called the morning of check in, told me to call back at 8am to see if a room would be avaliable for early check in (we had a family event at 2 and literally had no other option), and then got upset when i called around 8 saying "our cleaners dont even come in until 11"...... so why tell me to call back at 8? Going to sleep was a nightmare. People are SO loud screaming, laughing. Woke up at 4am to a lady having a terribly loud conversation on her phone and was standing outside all of the rooms. I opened the door and told her people were trying to sleep, just for her to come back 15 mins later and do the same thing. Again, i yelled at her to go outside and have respect for people who are trying to sleep (this was nearer to the front desk, surprised nobody did anything about her. waste of my time and money. never coming back to this dump. dont get me started on the yellow faucet water. We just wanted one night at a good hotel...

I’ve stayed at this hotel too many times to count. The location is perfect and it’s super duper affordable. It is close to many different restaurants and shopping centers. Most importantly, there is a Walmart about 5 minutes away. The rooms are really big. I always try to book the 2 bdrm suite if it’s available because it always accommodates my traveling group because of the extra space at an affordable rate. It’s always very quiet, very clean and very safe. This is a gated property with a pool on site which is so hard to find in Nola at an affordable rate. The front desk clerk, Terrielle, is always so helpful. She gave my friends and I suggestions on restaurants, clubs, parades (when we visited during Mardi Gras) and just about any other things we had questions about. She was always a stone’s throw away when assistance or suggestions were needed. I’ve never had any complaints. Book here and you won’t be disappointed.
