For local users searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me," the Extended Stay America Suites - Lancaster County, located at 314 Primrose Ln, Mountville, PA 17554, USA, presents itself as a dedicated option for extended stays in the greater Lancaster County area. With contact numbers (717) 285-2500 or +1 717-285-2500, this hotel is part of the Extended Stay America brand, which specializes in providing apartment-style accommodations designed for guests needing a comfortable and cost-effective solution for longer visits. However, a close examination of recent customer feedback reveals a highly polarized experience, offering both strong positives and serious concerns that potential guests must weigh.
Lancaster County is renowned for its rich Amish heritage, picturesque farmlands, and numerous tourist attractions such as Dutch Wonderland, the American Music Theatre, Sight & Sound Theatres, and the vibrant city of Lancaster itself with its historic district and Central Market. For those visiting Spooky Nook Sports Complex, the hotel's location could also be considered for its accessibility. The immediate environment of the hotel is likely typical of a suburban commercial area, potentially with other businesses and some green spaces.
The internal environment, however, draws conflicting reviews. One review praises the "nice" facility, stating it's "clearly cared for with obvious work and maintenance." This suggests a well-kept and pleasant atmosphere. Conversely, another review describes serious issues, including a "tub filled with dirt," a "flooded sink," and the presence of a "bed bug." These stark differences highlight potential inconsistencies in cleanliness standards and maintenance across the property, or perhaps very specific isolated incidents that significantly impact a guest's perception of the environment.
However, the negative customer reviews directly challenge the effective delivery of some of these services. The report of a "tub filled with dirt" and a "flooded sink" upon arrival points to a significant failure in room preparation and maintenance before guest occupancy. The mention of "bed bug on his brand new pair or socks" is a critical and severe issue that directly impacts guest health and comfort, requiring immediate and thorough action. This starkly contrasts with the expectation of a "clean" facility that is "clearly cared for."
Customer feedback, however, paints a complex picture of these features. One review extols the "exceptional stay" and praises the staff for being "so friendly and kind, accommodating any needs that we have and making us feel like they enjoy our company." This suggests that when the service is good, it significantly elevates the guest experience. The phrase "The facility is nice and clearly cared for with obvious work and maintenance" directly contradicts the negative review, indicating either a highly variable experience or a recent improvement in some areas. The severe issues reported in the negative review, such as the bed bug and dirty conditions, directly undermine the core promise of a comfortable and clean extended stay. The front desk's response of "they were so sorry for that" after the bed bug incident, while an apology, does not immediately convey a proactive solution or compensation for the distress caused.
On one hand, there is a glowing review that speaks of an "exceptional stay," highlighting "friendly and kind" staff who were "accommodating any needs" and made the family "feel like they enjoy our company." This review also praises the facility itself, stating it is "nice and clearly cared for with obvious work and maintenance," and concludes with a "highly recommend." This feedback suggests that, for some guests, the hotel delivers a very positive and welcoming experience, aligning with the comfort and utility expected from an extended stay property.
On the other hand, a deeply concerning review details significant and fundamental issues. Upon arrival, the guest found a "tub filled with dirt" and a "flooded sink," indicating a serious lack of pre-arrival cleaning and maintenance. The most alarming revelation was the discovery of a "bed bug on his brand new pair of socks," leading to an immediate departure. The front desk's response of simply being "so sorry for that" after such a severe issue can be perceived as insufficient. These critical cleanliness and pest issues directly contradict the positive review's assertion of a "clearly cared for" facility and would be unacceptable for most travelers, regardless of stay duration.
In conclusion, for local users searching on "Hotels Near Of Me" for extended stay options, the Extended Stay America Suites - Lancaster County, located at 314 Primrose Ln, Mountville, PA 17554, offers the appealing amenities of an extended stay property, including full kitchens and a pet-friendly policy. However, prospective guests must be prepared for a potentially inconsistent experience. While some guests report excellent service and a well-maintained facility, others have encountered severe problems related to cleanliness, maintenance, and pest infestations. It is imperative that individuals considering this hotel inquire directly about current conditions and recent pest control measures, and perhaps have a contingency plan, especially for longer stays, given the conflicting and highly impactful nature of the customer feedback.

Get directionsWhen we arrived we noticed the tub was filled with dirt. We travelled almost 6 hours and wanted to shower but it was dirt in the tub. Then tried to brush our teeth before bed but noticed the sink was flooded. So we had to spit in the toilet after brushing which I informed the front desk clerk about. While trying to get ready for the day, my son noticed a bed bug on his brand new pair or socks (unworn) (fresh). Due to this we left immediately after informing the front desk of the bed bug. We were told that they were so sorry for that.

Mar 21, 2025 · Aaron SpoonhourOn 3/15/2025 we stopped by this hotel to spend the night, the lady on the door was extremely extremely ignorant and rude like I’ve never in my life seen! This is not a cheap hotel, we paid $138 to stay for the night, we were treated like we’re homeless in a sketchy motel in a dingy part of town which definitely should not be the case here, this deranged woman first yelled at me when I told her that I paid through Booking.com just because she couldn’t find the reservation saying that I paid them not her, obviously not trained on how that process goes, when she found it she never apologized, then when my child went downstairs to get some microwave popcorn she yelled at him for no reason, she then sat there watching us saw me going downstairs without my son and started harassing him calling the room every few minutes to ask if I’m back or if he’s alone and if there’s other kids there with him and she called at least 5 times in less than half hour! When I came back she was waiting for me saying they’re not a daycare and if I leave my son there I should leave, I told her it’s non of her business as a concierge to spy on customers and their private business and not that it concerns her but my son is 12 and it’s my business to run not hers, if this woman isn’t mentally unstable then the only other reason I can think of is she’s racist and targeted us because we’re not white. This woman is mentally unstable and maybe that’s the reason this hotel is almost empty, they need to fire her before she makes them lose more customers, and I’ll be calling headquarters to make an official complaint on her and request a refund for this stressful experience due to their lousy job allowing such people to be on the front line with customers. And the place was filthy and stinky, the kitchen had no utensils or cleaning supplies like they expect their customers to travel with their own pots and pans, all in all it was the lousiest place and most overpriced for the level of service I’ve ever been in.
Mar 18, 2025 · Bianca TarrifThe first room i checked in had left over food from the previous guest in the fridge (looked about a week old). Second room had a musty smell, pull out couch was harder than a rock... not a dish, glass, cup, silverware could be found. Each of the two chairs and couch were mostly likely worn two years ago (picture of tattered chair and the pieces of cloth that have fallen all over the floor after an hour). After only 10 minutes, I told the front desk I wanted to leave the property... they said that's fine, but I would be charged. Terrible customer service... will never stay at an extended stay ever again (even if they are each privately owned).
Nov 15, 2024 · Adam TyburskiArrived to check in and found out my reservation was cancelled. They claim my credit card was declined. Called the credit card company and they said there was no attempted charge from that hotel. Woman behind the desk claimed they sent me an email, I checked my inbox and spam and I had nothing. Then she claimed I must have booked 3rd party and I told them nope, I booked direct and showed her my confirmation email. I asked them why didn't they call and they claimed because I didn't leave a phone number. The lady then looks at the screen and verifies that my phone number was there. There was no apology, no offer to help me find a room somewhere else (A common practice when hotels overbook). It was basically not her problem and she could care less where me and my kids would be spending the night. I travel several times a year to the Lancaster area and like to try new hotels. This is the first time in my life something like this has happened to me. My theory is that I was paying too low of a rate and they realize they could get someone who would pay more for the same room. Needless to say, we will not be coming back here. I actually received way better customer service at the Motel 6 where we eventually ended up.
