RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN! Sleep in your car if you can't afford anywhere else. The absolute WORST place I've ever stayed in. 1. the receptionist obviously hates her job. The rudest person I've ever dealt with. Yelling at us across the parking lot saying I couldn't go into my room until my autistic son gave her his ID which was in his suitcase. It took her 20 minutes just to copy which made us late for dinner with family. I drove 8.5 hours to deal with this. 2. I requested a first floor she said dogs are only allowed in rooms on the second floor. 3. I think the first floor rooms are rented out as miny apartments, I heard somebody say they were getting evicted. 4. ROOM WAS FULL OF BUGS. We woke up the next morning covered in bites and found termites that I didn't even knew bite. I called office they came to the room cleaned the bathroom and mopped the floors but didn't change the beds or spray for bugs. I wasn't in the room at the time. 5. The whole place smells including the water. 6. The bath mat was grey. 7. The place is so run down that it should be torn down. I should've ran as soon as I got there! They even keep the lobby door locked at all times, they have to buzz you in. WARNING SIGN

Red Carpet Amish Country PA Introduce

When local users search for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area, particularly those exploring the charm of Amish Country, Red Carpet Amish Country PA presents itself as a distinctive, budget-friendly option. Located at 2101 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603, USA, this establishment offers a different kind of stay, often appealing to travelers prioritizing value and a unique, independent hotel experience.

The environment of Red Carpet Amish Country PA is situated on Columbia Avenue, a main thoroughfare in Lancaster, offering convenient access to various parts of the city and surrounding attractions. The property appears to be an older establishment, with some guests noting that it is "run down" or "dated." The exterior features parking, which is typically available and can be accessed from the main road. The overall impression can be varied, with some finding it a suitable no-frills option, while others express concerns about its upkeep. The mention of a locked lobby door requiring a buzz-in suggests a focus on security, common in some budget-friendly properties.

Upon arrival, the guest experience can be inconsistent. While some visitors have praised specific night staff as "great," other feedback highlights challenges with receptionist demeanor and check-in processes. Standard check-in and check-out times would apply, though specific hours are not detailed in the provided information. The hotel generally aims to provide essential services to facilitate a basic stay.

The services and features offered by Red Carpet Amish Country PA cater primarily to fundamental travel needs. Notably, the hotel is home to the "Namaste Indian/Nepali/Asian restaurant," which has received excellent reviews from guests, with some considering it a five-star dining experience. This on-site dining option is a significant feature, offering convenience and high-quality cuisine directly accessible to guests. Beyond the restaurant, the hotel would typically offer:

  • Room Accommodation: Providing basic lodging for nightly stays. Some rooms, particularly those on the second floor, might be larger than average, as noted by a guest.
  • Pet-Friendly Policy: The hotel allows dogs, though specific floors might be designated for pet owners (e.g., second floor), which is a valuable feature for travelers with pets.
  • Parking: Ample parking for guests.
  • Wi-Fi: While not explicitly mentioned in the positive review, most hotels offer Wi-Fi access for guests. However, the lack of mention could imply it is not a highlight, or possibly an area for improvement if not readily available or reliable.
It is important to note that a past review mentioned potential issues with room quality, including bugs and cleanliness concerns (e.g., dirty bath mats, stained carpets), as well as possible long-term rentals on the first floor. These are critical aspects that potential guests should be aware of, as they represent significant variations in guest experience.

The features of the rooms themselves focus on providing basic comfort. A king-size Beautyrest mattress was highlighted by one positive reviewer as "wonderful," indicating that comfortable sleeping arrangements can be found. Rooms would typically include a private bathroom. The mention of "no charging ports" in one review indicates that while basic electrical outlets are present, modern conveniences like USB charging ports might be lacking, which is characteristic of older properties. Room temperature control is expected to be available for guest comfort.

Given the mixed reviews, particularly the strong negative feedback regarding cleanliness, staff demeanor, and pest issues, potential guests should temper their expectations regarding the hotel's condition. The positive review, however, points to the potential for a very good experience, particularly for those seeking excellent value and enjoying the on-site restaurant. This suggests that experiences can vary significantly, potentially based on room assignment, specific staff encountered, or recent renovations/maintenance efforts.

Promotional information for Red Carpet Amish Country PA would likely emphasize its "excellent value" and its convenient location for exploring Amish Country. It would highlight the on-site Namaste Indian/Nepali/Asian restaurant as a key amenity, appealing to those seeking good food options. The hotel would also promote its pet-friendly status, attracting travelers with furry companions. Given its location in Lancaster, it serves as a base for exploring a multitude of local attractions, including:

  • Amish Culture: Close proximity to Amish farmlands, buggies, and attractions like the Amish Village, Amish Farm and House, and Kitchen Kettle Village.
  • Shopping and Dining: Easy access to Tanger Outlets Lancaster and Rockvale Outlets, as well as various local restaurants and shops on Columbia Avenue and in downtown Lancaster.
  • Family Entertainment: Nearby attractions such as Dutch Wonderland amusement park, Lancaster Science Factory, and the Strasburg Rail Road.
  • Arts and History: Access to historic downtown Lancaster, including Central Market, Fulton Theatre, and numerous art galleries and museums.
The hotel's phone number, (717) 397-4201 or +1 717-397-4201, would be readily available for direct inquiries and reservations.

In conclusion, Red Carpet Amish Country PA, positioned within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, offers a budget-conscious lodging option in Lancaster, PA. While it provides essential amenities and the distinct advantage of a highly-rated on-site restaurant and pet-friendly policy, potential guests should be aware of the varied experiences reported by past customers regarding room condition and service. It aims to provide an affordable base for exploring the rich cultural and recreational offerings of Lancaster and the surrounding Amish Country.

Excellent value. We had room 202 above the restaurant which was huge! The evening night staff was great. King size Beautyrest nattress was wonderful. Highly recommend. Namaste Indian/Napali/Asian restaurant was also excelkent. For $100/night it is 5 stars in my book.

Service and workers were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, so that was appreciated. That was however the only highlight of this hotel. The location and drive through is a bit tight to get into. We found out the pool was closed even though it was the beginning of June. Room was somewhat dirty with many stains throughout and multiple flies in the bathroom. Seemed like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a while. I was appalled and was grateful we were only there for a night. I would not stay here again despite the staff.

Staff was incredibly friendly and kind at both check in and check out. Our room was nice and cool already when we went in, which was a much appreciated surprise since it was 100 degrees outside. The room was clean, sheets and blankets smelled faintly of bleach and detergent. Bathroom was also clean to a more than acceptable standard. Fridge in room was not keeping things cold, but after adjusting the temperature, it eventually did work as expected. Only downside was the pool being closed.

My only complaints was house keeping lady beating on door at like 830 and front desk day shift argue with me about my minor daughter not having a id. Other than that not bad
