What to say? I want to eat about it, this Terrible place is a very long service. We went three times for the same card so that they opened the door for us and as a result the door was opened with an ordinary key, I said, how are we going to open the door next? he said it's not my problem.Well, yes, we have achieved a different number, but that's not the point. When we went into another room, we were horrified and saw dirt on the floor. The floor was so dirty that when my wife wiped the floor in the toilet, we were shocked, the white towel turned black. Dead insects, dirty bed on which it was unpleasant to sleep, the smell of cigarettes although the room was ordered for non-smokers, 2 towels for 4 people, the furniture is old that you are afraid to touch it as if it is about to fall apart, they provided a number from wi-fi, it does not connect at all terrible service i don't recommend this hotel. We booked a room for two nights but left the next day, the holiday was ruined.
For those exploring the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Amish Country region, the Travelodge by Wyndham Lancaster Amish Country presents itself as a budget-friendly accommodation option. Located at 2101 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603, USA, this hotel aims to cater to travelers seeking an economical stay in the area. It is crucial for potential guests to consider a comprehensive and objective overview, integrating both positive and critical feedback to form a clear picture of what to expect from this property.
The overall environment and ambiance of the Travelodge by Wyndham Lancaster Amish Country appear to be a significant point of concern, as indicated by guest reviews. While one reviewer stated their stay "wasn't that bad" and noted "only a few minor visual blemishes," another provided a starkly contrasting and highly critical assessment. The more negative review highlighted pervasive issues with cleanliness and upkeep. Specific mentions include "dirt on the floor" that was so severe a white towel used to wipe the bathroom floor "turned black." The presence of "dead insects" was also reported. Furthermore, a non-smoking room reportedly had "the smell of cigarettes," indicating a potential issue with adherence to designated smoking policies or lingering odors from past usage. The furniture is described as "old" and appearing "about to fall apart," which contributes to a general sense of disrepair. These observations suggest that the hotel's environment may be perceived as dated and lacking consistent attention to cleanliness and maintenance, potentially impacting the overall comfort and appeal for guests.
The condition of the rooms at the Travelodge by Wyndham Lancaster Amish Country is a critical aspect, with reviews indicating a notable discrepancy in guest experiences. While one guest found their stay to be "comfortable," acknowledging "a few minor visual blemishes" and a "slightly off" but "not necessarily bad" room smell, another review painted a much more concerning picture. This highly critical feedback detailed significant issues within the rooms. The cleanliness of the flooring was a major concern, with "dirt on the floor" and a graphic description of a towel turning black when used for cleaning. Other problems included a "dirty bed on which it was unpleasant to sleep," suggesting issues with linen cleanliness. The presence of cigarette smell in a non-smoking room was also noted. Furthermore, the provision of "2 towels for 4 people" suggests an inadequacy in standard amenities. The furniture was described as "old" and fragile. Technical issues were also mentioned, such as Wi-Fi that "does not connect at all" despite being provided with a number. These detailed accounts of dirty conditions, old and potentially broken furnishings, and amenity shortcomings like insufficient towels and non-functional Wi-Fi indicate that the quality of accommodation can be highly inconsistent and potentially disappointing for guests expecting a reasonable standard of comfort and hygiene.
The services provided at the Travelodge by Wyndham Lancaster Amish Country have also drawn mixed and sometimes strongly negative reactions. One reviewer found the stay "pleasant" overall, suggesting that for some, the basic services met their needs. However, a detailed negative review highlighted significant deficiencies in service, particularly concerning room access. The experience involved "three times for the same card so that they opened the door for us," ultimately requiring an "ordinary key" to open the door, which led to a dismissive "it's not my problem" response from staff when inquiring about future access. This suggests potential issues with key card systems and a lack of proactive problem-solving or helpfulness from front desk personnel. The overall impression conveyed by this review was of "terrible service," indicating a significant breakdown in customer care and responsiveness. While the hotel does offer free breakfast, the hours of availability were noted as "less than what I've become accustomed to in the Wyndham chain," which could be a minor inconvenience for some guests. The hotel's phone numbers are (717) 397-4201 and +1 717-397-4201 for direct communication, which guests would use for inquiries or to address immediate concerns during their stay.
The Travelodge by Wyndham Lancaster Amish Country aims to provide a selection of amenities typical of a budget-friendly hotel. A key feature mentioned by guests is the availability of free breakfast, which can be a valuable inclusion for travelers. However, as noted, the hours for this service might be shorter than what some guests are accustomed to within the Wyndham brand. The hotel also features a pool, which one reviewer noted "looked clean," suggesting it can be a functional amenity for guests. The property is part of the Wyndham chain, which typically implies certain baseline standards and loyalty program benefits for members. Free Wi-Fi is advertised as an amenity, although one very negative review explicitly stated that the provided Wi-Fi "does not connect at all," indicating potential issues with its reliability or accessibility. For travelers with pets, it's common for Travelodge properties to be pet-friendly, which would be an important consideration for those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with animal companions, though specific pet policies and fees would need to be confirmed directly with the hotel. Based on the critical feedback, the functionality and maintenance of in-room amenities, such as furniture and the internet connection, appear to be inconsistent.

The hotel's phone numbers, (717) 397-4201 and +1 717-397-4201, serve as direct contact points for reservations and information. The critical reviews, in particular, highlight potential issues that could significantly impact a stay, such as cleanliness, room condition, and service quality. Therefore, for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" and considering this Travelodge, it is advisable to weigh the potential cost savings against the reported inconsistencies in guest satisfaction, particularly concerning basic amenities and the overall maintenance of the property. Guests seeking a comfortable and reliably clean experience may need to thoroughly evaluate whether this particular Travelodge meets their expectations, as the feedback suggests that while it can offer a "comfortable night" for some, it can be a source of considerable disappointment for others, potentially leading to a "ruined holiday" as one guest experienced.

Jul 05, 2023 · Yuriy BeloborodovWe were a bit weary given previous reviews... but our stay wasn't that bad. Only a few minor visual blemishes. It was comfortable night. The room smelled slightly off, but not necessarily bad. The pool looked clean, and there's free breakfast, though the hours it's available is less than what I've become accustomed to in the Wyndham chain . Overall it was pleasant and I recommend it as a budget friendly hotel.
Aug 27, 2018 · Christine BartonThis place was a DUMP. It was dingy and I don't think that it was cleaned after the last person left. There was an iron burn on the floor, dirty carpet, wrappers in the shower, toilet bowl only had one bolt so it swung over to the right. We did not did not even unpack our car. My reservation was NON-REFUNDABLE and before we seen the room, we had to pay up front another $20 pet fee. Luckily we were able to find a much better motel who accepted pets and we stayed there. When I checked into the new hotel, I called to tell the Lancaster Amish Country Travelodge that we left our hotel key on the dresser and would not be returning but asked that we get our money back, they told us that they would report all of our issues to the Manager and we could speak w/her in the morning. I called and got the Manager who was really a very rude person, she told us that we must have broke the toilet seat because it wasn't broken when the last guest left. This further convinced me that the bathroom must not have been cleaned, because if you lifted the seat to clean it, they would have noticed that a bolt was missing. I would not even let my dog walk on the carpet. I carried him in and carried him out. Also, I pulled down the comforter and it did not look as though the sheets were changed. I truly wish that I had read the reviews for this dive before I paid up front. Besides the neighborhood being not so nice, there was a space under the door that a rat could have come in. Respectfully submitted.
Oct 14, 2014 · Maryanne DePirroThe rooms were nice and everything was clean. I took off 2 stars because I stayed for a week which is a good amount of money and the lady at the front desk was very unprofessional and rude every time I spoke to her and I'm not a rude person at all so it was just her being disrespectful for no reason and also disrespectful to the people who called for me to get transferred to the room. Everyone else did a great job and I feel sorry that she is your boss.
Apr 27, 2020 · Mark RiggleTake a closer look at the photos. The place is not taken care of. It feels unsafe. The security latch on the door was broken off. It felt dingy. The pool was extremely well taken care of. The only other good thing was the restaurant sharing the property. Excellent food most excellent service at the restaurant not the hotel.
