My husband and I stayed at this B&B twice. The first time we stayed for one night in "Suite Two" and loved it so much that we wanted to come back. The layout, spacious room, the peaceful setting, the decor and the breakfast were superb. We had a wonderful night's sleep and had nothing but positive feedback from ourselves and friends that had booked other rooms. I recall there being an excellent tea selection at the coffee bar in the room as well. However, the second time we stayed in "Springhouse Three" (3 years later) for two nights and found the difference in the rooms to be disappointing. The room was significantly smaller and didn't feel like the luxury we were paying for. The bed is very close to the door in this room, so we could see the light in the hallway through the door and hear anyone coming up and down the stairs or talking. Unfortunately we both had a terrible time sleeping in the bed. It was extremely soft - with no support - and so worn that it sloped into the middle. We had a restless sleep and woke up with sore backs. We actually flipped the mattress over for the second night, which wasn't ideal, but at least it gave us some support for sleeping. (And before you judge us personally on this, we are both slim people, so weight shouldn't have been a factor.) The breakfast was still delicious and the owners are very kind, but it didn't leave us with the desire to return for a third visit. Some improvements that we could recommend: a full-length mirror, a mini fridge, a better tea selection for breakfast, better shower pressure, and attention to the quality of the bed. Some details that are perfect: the fireplaces, the breakfast, the complimentary snack bar in the common area, fresh flowers in the room, personalized notes, and the decor throughout all of the rooms and main building.

The presence of fireplaces in many rooms further enhances the cozy and inviting atmosphere, particularly during cooler seasons.
The services at Fairville Inn are a significant draw for its guests. The owners and staff are frequently lauded for their kindness, attentiveness, and helpfulness. Terms like "very kind," "warm and welcoming," and "so helpful with the booking" appear in reviews, indicating a commitment to exceptional guest relations. The check-in process is described as "seamless," reflecting efficient and friendly service. A standout feature of the service is the provision of personalized notes in the rooms, a detail that many guests appreciate as a thoughtful touch. The Inn also offers a complimentary snack bar with Keurig coffee in the common area, providing convenient refreshments throughout the day. While a full-service spa is mentioned, suggesting opportunities for massages and other treatments, the direct reviews provided don't offer specific details on guest experiences with spa services, but external information confirms a full-service spa offering massages is available on-site.
Fairville Inn's features are diverse, catering to various guest preferences. The rooms themselves are a key aspect of the Inn's appeal. While the Inn offers a range of accommodations, from suites to smaller rooms, guests frequently commend their unique decor and individuality. Some rooms, such as "Suite Two," are described as "spacious" with a "superb layout," leading to a "wonderful night's sleep." Many rooms also feature private decks, offering outdoor space to enjoy the scenic views. Amenities such as free WiFi, air conditioning, daily housekeeping, and free bottled water are standard. The breakfast at Fairville Inn is consistently highlighted as a major feature and a true delight for guests. Afternoon tea with a selection of cheeses and Inn-baked goods is also provided, adding to the overall experience.
However, an objective introduction necessitates acknowledging areas for potential improvement, as reflected in some customer feedback. One review pointed out a significant difference in room experience between a spacious suite and a smaller room ("Springhouse Three"). This particular room was described as "significantly smaller" and lacking the "luxury we were paying for." More critically, the bed in "Springhouse Three" was described as "extremely soft - with no support - and so worn that it sloped into the middle," leading to "terrible" and "restless sleep" and "sore backs." While another guest found the bed and pillows in "Springhouse 3" to be "very, very comfortable," this stark contrast suggests inconsistency in mattress quality across rooms. Other suggested improvements from this guest included a full-length mirror, a mini-fridge, better tea selection for breakfast, and improved shower pressure. The proximity of the bed to the door in "Springhouse Three," leading to light and noise from the hallway, also suggests that soundproofing and room layout might vary. While the Inn generally receives high marks for cleanliness and staff, these detailed critiques from a repeat guest offer valuable insight for prospective visitors.
The Inn's proximity to popular attractions is a major selling point. It's ideally located near Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Museum, and Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library, making it a perfect base for exploring the rich cultural and horticultural offerings of the Brandywine Valley. This convenience is a key factor for those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" specifically to visit these renowned destinations.
Regarding promotional information, while specific current offers are not explicitly provided in the reviews, Fairville Inn, like many high-quality bed and breakfasts, likely offers various packages throughout the year. These might include romantic getaway packages, special rates for extended stays, or seasonal promotions tied to local events like those at Longwood Gardens or area wineries. As a bed and breakfast that emphasizes personalized experiences, they may also be open to tailoring stays for anniversaries, birthdays, or other special occasions. Guests are encouraged to contact the Inn directly via phone at (610) 388-5900 to inquire about any current promotions, special packages, or seasonal rates that might enhance their stay. Utilizing platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me" can also sometimes reveal exclusive deals or booking incentives for the Fairville Inn.
In conclusion, Fairville Inn offers a predominantly positive experience for guests seeking a charming and relaxing stay in the Chadds Ford area. Its idyllic setting, combined with highly-regarded customer service and a delicious breakfast, creates a memorable atmosphere. While potential inconsistencies in room comfort and specific amenities should be considered, the Inn's overall appeal lies in its personalized touches, historic charm, and strategic location near key Brandywine Valley attractions. For those prioritizing a tranquil environment and a distinctive B&B experience when looking for "Hotels Near Of Me," Fairville Inn remains a highly recommended option.

Mar 03, 2025 · The Honest ReviewerWe stayed here for the first time and loved it. The proximity to Longwood Gardens was perfect. Nancy was so helpful with the booking - which I had to cancel initially and reschedule. The check in process was seamless - thank you, Sam! We stayed in Springhouse 3. The room was spacious, clean, and fresh looking with a balcony overlooking a lovely field. The fresh flowers and personal note from the owners were a very nice touch. The snacks and Keurig in the main house were good. The bed and pillows were very, very comfortable. I truly loved that pillow! Breakfast was great! We will recommend the Inn and be back when in the area.
Apr 05, 2025 · Stephanie RWe stayed here for my wedding weekend and rented out the Inn. Our experience couldn't have been better and truly made for such a successful wedding weekend. We were greeted with a friendly staff and handwritten notes, extremely clean and cozy rooms, fresh breakfast delivered every morning, and accommodations made for special requests. We had so much fun congregating in the various courtyards and getting ready for the wedding here. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner in the courtyard and had an unforgettable night as well. I loved my experience at the Fairville Inn and can say look no further if planning an event or need a place to stay in the area. Looking forward to going back one day!
Oct 25, 2024 · monica vanoverIf you are looking for a quiet getaway where the details matter, look no further than the Fairville Inn. Since being renovated, the rooms are something out of a designer catalog, but come at a very reasonable price point. They are beautifully furnished and so quiet and perfect for that "staycation" feel where you don't have to leave if you don't want to. From check in to breakfast before heading out, nothing was short of perfection. We enjoyed our last stay so much that we'll back to celebrate a birthday soon!
Jul 23, 2024 · Megan at Heartbeat Branding Co.Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Our wedding party stayed here and if you book here too you won't regret it! Beautiful rooms, top notch staff, the very definition of good service in an upscale yet historic venue. The greenery and flowers are lovely, very relaxing. We will be back soon!
