Amazing amazing views! Decent hotel, not a resort. Kelsey's restaurant at the hotel was great,(let me repeat at the hotel) staff was amazing at the restaurant. The rooms were dated, the heating system will keep you up allllll night with its loud noise. I would however recommend it to others looking for a comfortable place secluded from all action. Provides you with everything you need, especially if traveling with a family (cute kitchenette). You will get amazing views and a comfy stay.
For local users and visitors exploring the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Atlantic City, the Flagship Resort at Club Boardwalk Resorts, located at 60 N Maine Ave, Atlantic City, NJ 08401, USA, presents itself as a unique lodging option. While it carries the "resort" designation, customer reviews indicate it functions more as a hotel or even a timeshare property, offering a blend of traditional hotel amenities with apartment-style living, particularly appealing for extended stays or families. Its prime location provides direct access to stunning ocean views, a significant draw for many guests.
The environment of Flagship Resort is characterized by its prominent oceanfront position, offering "amazing amazing views" of the Atlantic Ocean and the Atlantic City skyline. This visual appeal is a major highlight for guests. The property itself houses various amenities typical of a leisure-focused stay. However, the internal environment, particularly concerning rooms, is described by some as "dated." Recent reviews also highlight a significant issue with "construction noise from two doors down," indicating ongoing developments or maintenance in the vicinity that can disturb guest peace. This suggests that while the location boasts natural beauty, the internal state of the property may be undergoing transitions or is not uniformly modern. Despite these points, the fact that it offers a "comfortable place secluded from all action" implies a quieter atmosphere than the bustling main boardwalk, which can be a positive for guests seeking a more relaxed environment. The presence of Kelsey's restaurant within the hotel adds a convenient dining option, contributing to the overall on-site experience.
The services offered at Flagship Resort aim to cater to its guests, though there appear to be inconsistencies based on customer feedback. The hotel operates a front desk, which is the primary point of contact for guests. However, a review mentions the "front desk didn't respond to our complaints," suggesting challenges in guest service responsiveness at times. Housekeeping services are a point of contention, with one review stating that "Housekeeping didn't collect trash or change sheets during our four-night stay," and issues with unclear instructions on trash disposal leading to cleaning fees. This indicates a potential deviation from standard hotel housekeeping practices, which might be more akin to a timeshare or apartment rental model where daily service isn't automatically included, or requires specific scheduling. On the positive side, the staff at Kelsey's restaurant receive praise for being "amazing." The pool experience, while available, also faced challenges with unclear "adult swim" signs and a pool attendant closing the pool due to complaints, highlighting communication issues. Services like laundry facilities are typically available at such properties, given their extended-stay orientation, though not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. Guests should clarify expectations regarding daily services, especially housekeeping, upon booking.
The features of Flagship Resort are designed to offer a more self-sufficient and spacious accommodation experience compared to a standard hotel room. A key feature is the "cute kitchenette" available in rooms, which provides guests with facilities to prepare their own meals. This typically includes a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, and basic kitchenware, making it "everything you need, especially if traveling with a family." While some rooms are described as "small studio room that wasn't suitable for our needs" for six people, the general offering leans towards apartment-style units rather than single hotel rooms. Other features include the presence of an indoor swimming pool, a valuable amenity for year-round enjoyment, though the pool experience itself has been criticized for communication issues. An on-site restaurant, Kelsey's, provides convenient dining. For entertainment, the hotel likely offers in-room TVs. Given its location in Atlantic City, some properties might also offer shuttle services to casinos or attractions, though this was not explicitly mentioned. The "dated" nature of rooms and loud heating systems are specific features that guests should be aware of, as they can impact comfort. The property also likely includes ample parking, an important feature for guests driving to Atlantic City.
Regarding promotional information, Flagship Resort at Club Boardwalk Resorts positions itself primarily on its location and the "amazing amazing views." The availability of kitchenettes makes it appealing for families or groups looking to save on dining costs, and for those on longer stays. The fact that it's "secluded from all action" can be promoted as a peaceful retreat option, away from the constant bustle of the main boardwalk casinos, while still offering convenient access to Atlantic City's entertainment. The on-site restaurant, Kelsey's, with its "amazing" staff, can also be a selling point. For potential guests, it's crucial to understand that it operates within the "Club Boardwalk Resorts" framework, which often implies a timeshare or vacation club association. This might mean different booking policies, and potential guests could be approached with timeshare presentations. Therefore, while it is listed under "Hotels Near Of Me," its true nature is more akin to vacation rentals or timeshare units. The property likely promotes its direct beach access, indoor amenities, and proximity to Atlantic City's casinos and attractions. Guests searching for a traditional hotel experience with daily maid service and clear, consistent amenities should clarify these details prior to booking. The "comfy stay" and "amazing views" are repeatedly highlighted, suggesting these are central to the guest experience despite other noted drawbacks.
In summary, Flagship Resort at Club Boardwalk Resorts offers a distinctive option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category in Atlantic City. It excels in providing stunning ocean views and apartment-style accommodations with kitchenettes, making it suitable for families and extended stays seeking a more self-sufficient experience. While it offers key features like an indoor pool and on-site dining, potential guests should manage expectations regarding daily hotel services like housekeeping and be aware of potential noise from construction or older infrastructure. Its unique blend of residential comfort and resort amenities, coupled with a slightly removed yet accessible location, positions it as a viable choice for travelers looking for a different kind of Atlantic City experience.

May 18, 2025 · Sharlene Anderson*1/5 stars - Disappointing stay at Flagship Resort* Our stay at Flagship Resort was a letdown. We booked a room for six people but were given a small studio room that wasn't suitable for our needs. Housekeeping didn't collect trash or change sheets during our four-night stay, and we weren't given any instructions on how to dispose of garbage. The construction noise from two doors down was a major disturbance, and the front desk didn't respond to our complaints. We were also charged $250 for room cleaning because we left trash bags next to the garbage cans. The pool experience was confusing - the sign said "adult swim" but wasn't clear about the hours. When we complained, the pool attendant closed the pool to everyone. It seemed like a better experience could have been had with clearer communication. The staff's attitude towards our concerns was unhelpful, and we felt like they weren't taking responsibility for the issues. We were also charged for the cleaning fee despite the lack of housekeeping services. Overall, our experience was disappointing, and we wouldn't recommend this resort.
May 15, 2025 · max davisBusy and very nice hotel. Amazing views. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. I enjoyed the less busy location and the pier views. It's a big place and my only complaints are with the elevator and amenities. There are 4 elevators but on the busiest day there seem to be only one operating. It took forever to get anywhere within the hotel or out of it. We were on the 20th floor. And we were disappointed with the vending machines and lack of convenience type products like coffee or casual eateries. But for a nice place to stay to enjoy Atl city. I would recommend.
Apr 18, 2025 · Felicia NeffFlagship Resort has unfortunately been a source of disappointment and frustration for us since purchasing a timeshare in 2017. We were sucked in during a high-pressure sales meeting, bombarded with promises of an amazing vacation to Hawaii, special honeymoon gifts for our kids, and an overall picture of something that seemed too good to pass up. They gave us no real time to think about the financial burden before pressuring us into signing. Looking back, it was all a manipulative trap. Things only got worse from there. Miscommunication and flat-out broken promises became the norm. A particularly infuriating situation happened in 2020. They tricked us into attending another meeting, claiming it was something routine, only to hit us with more pushy sales tactics and lies. The stress of that experience left us fed up and exhausted, and it just put a big spotlight on how little this company cares about its members. On top of that, the agreement terms are an absolute mess. They’re confusing, convoluted, and make it so hard for us to actually use any of the benefits they initially bragged about. The maintenance fees keep going up and up, way beyond anything we were told to expect. It’s become a massive financial burden that we just can’t keep up with anymore. We’ve tried over and over to resolve these issues with Flagship Resort directly, but it’s like they couldn’t care less. No real help, no solutions, just more indifference and frustration. We’re done. We’re at the point where canceling this contract is the only way to protect ourselves from sinking further into this mess. If you’re thinking about dealing with Flagship Resort, don’t. They use shady sales tactics, they don’t follow through on their promises, and their customer service is nonexistent. Save yourself the stress and financial pain—we wish we had.
Apr 22, 2025 · James WillisI've only given two stars for the view. It claims to be a resort, yet nothing was open during our stay, and although it's only midmay we couldn't even get a coffee, or find anyone to replenish the gross coffee in the room. The staff was rude, the place was filthy, the plugs inside the room didn't work. The people in both rooms on either side of us smoked weed and cigarettes consistently and this all of my clothing smelled of weed and cigarettes, even though we had a non smoking room. The staff were unimpressed when I told them this, simply stating that it was "legal" in NJ. I'm from Boston, where it is also legal and this has never happened before. We had booked six nights and left after two, going to The Tropicana, which was cheaper and a FAR better experience. I felt like I was in a Saturday Night Live skit while at the Flagship, like it could not be this bad, really. Well, it was. And I gave never given a bad review, ever.
