Loved this hotel. The location is excellent. Rooms very very good. Valet Parking extremely efficient and professional. Bar service also excellent. However the biggest compliment I can give is to all the staff who were so welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful. Oliver on the front desk when we checking is a credit to your organization as were the two staff members when we checked out (sorry didn't get their names). Thank you. When in Madison will always try to get a reservation there.

Jul 20, 2025 · Graham ReidThe staff is lovely at the front desk. Oliver gave us such a nice reception. The lobby is adorable. However, for the price it feels like there could be more staff like someone to help with bags. The rooms are a bit tired but overall the nice staff makes it a great experience right near campus. Midwestern friendliness in full display here.
May 25, 2025 · Gail Albert-HalabanHousekeeping left my door open after they cleaned. I came back to the hotel panicking that my stuff might have been stolen. Somehow the mini fridge was turned off while I was out for the day so my food went bad. There is no closet or dresser in my room so I don’t have the space to unpack. I asked the front desk for water and they said I could get it at the front desk. I asked if there was a different front desk, and they said no. They proceeded to not give me the complementary water. I thought that was a funny way of not doing your job. I got water elsewhere. The location is great, but there is much room for improvement! I would not stay here again!
Jul 31, 2025 · Jillian FlanaganAmazing location for visiting Madison and the University. Just a block from State Street and a few blocks from both the university and the capitol building. Service was very good with friendly front desk staff. Our two-queen bed was very comfortable and the cleaning staff were great. Parking is valet only as this section of Madison has very limited parking in general. The gym is quite small but only once was it full. The restaurant upstairs has a limited menu with mostly bar food. The coffee shop on the first floor was quite convenient for my morning coffee. We would definitely stay here if visiting the university again. My only real complaint was related to noise on Saturday night when a lot of guests must have been returning drunk to their rooms around 2:00 am and making a lot of noise.
Feb 20, 2025 · Benjamin RandolphMy husband and I had a great stay over a long weekend in February. The service was great - valet quickly took care of our vehicle, and Oliver at the Front Desk was outstanding. They were able to check us into a beautiful corner room a bit earlier than standard check-in time, and frequently sent messages to check up on us during our stay. We had a drink at the 7th floor bar and the service and F&B was also stellar. Can't wait to come back on our next trip up to Madison!
