From the moment I arrived, the warm and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The check-in process was seamless, and my beautifully designed room exceeded my expectations. The highlight of my stay was the stunning panoramic views of the Hudson River. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the water was truly amazing. (Also, the bed was incredibly comfortable, definitely a 10/10 ! ) The amenities provided were exceptional, and the on-site restaurant offered many options which my partner and I loved! I highly recommend this hotel, we hope we can come back soon!

We did a long weekend for my wife's birthday and had an amazing time. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a tarot card reading and yoga, but unfortunately missed the sound bath. My favorite activity was the cocktail class. To be honest, my expectations weren't particularly high. I assumed that we'd sit at the bar and watch someone make a drink. However, the head of food and beverage had a full set-up so we could make our own drinks. Her knowledge and passion were compelling. She walked us through all of the ingredients, the equipment and the history. My wife and I took one of our all time favorite photos with an amazing sunset as the backdrop. We stayed in a suite at the back of the property (#17)--a beautiful spacious room with a great tub. We enjoyed the privacy and quiet. The main house was only a quick three-minute walk away.

Sadly, I was very disappointed. I think it is overpriced for what you get. Our room was tiny. We couldn't control the thermostat, the shower had zero pressure, the toilet overflowed. The grounds were run down and did not match the photos on line. The staff was great. And, the actual bed was clean and comfortable. But, I think for $500+ a night we should have had more. With some care I have confidence it might be a great place someday. Newly opened last year.

Overall, beautiful hotel in a beautiful location that misses on service. If it were $200 less a night it'd be a 5 star review, but not worth $600 a night as is. Positives: Amazing location with so much to do around there. We went in late October and the foliage was beautiful, with so many nice towns and parks nearby. We did Kingston, Rhinebeck, and Montgomery Place Estate. The property is really cool and nicely decorated. Room was spacious and VERY CLEAN, and bed was comfortable. We stayed in the manor and had a terrace with a beautiful view of the Hudson and Catskills. Fire pit with s'mores was nice and a great way to finish off the nights. Negatives: Never really felt welcomed. Maybe it was because it was the last weekend of the season, but the service just really felt off and impersonal. Found out in passing on our 2nd day that breakfast was included, still don't know if that was everyday or just weekends. There was a soundbath session happening as we were leaving, were we invited?? They had espresso machines but every day told me they were out of espresso. Heard the staff say to a guest "drip only right now, first world problems!". The drip coffee was just full of grounds and not good. I just don't understand how a $600/night place isn't running to the store to get more espresso beans for multiple days. Food at breakfast was just alright, the buffet of pastries was excellent but the on site prepared food wasn't great - poached eggs overcooked. Made us decide to seek dinner elsewhere during our stay. Same with the bar, cocktails not very good and yet cost ~$20 each. 12oz can of beer was $10 - made us decide to skip the cocktail class. While the s'mores were great, they just left out jars of ingredients and never refilled them through the night, so that area got pretty messy and ran out of stuff. Room was great but shower was terrible. I understand it's an old place with low pressure and small spaces, but the rain shower head was 7ft up and clogged, so it was difficult to get wet. Would make sense to put a detachable hand shower in such a tight space. While it was a beautiful property, they just didn't make it a place I wanted to spend time, so we mostly spent our time off site. For $600/night, I was expecting more of an experience. Again if it were like $400 I would have said 5 stars and not really cared about the service flops, but the price set an expectation they didn't meet.

I'm still pinching myself after our stay at Habitas on Hudson. The staff was incredible and hospitabal. The location and ambiance were beyond our expectations. The food and drink were spectacular. After a reservation mixup, the staff was helpful in getting things sorted out. The moment we arrived to see the hotel, we immediately added a night to our stay. A craft cocktail bar centers the main floor, where you can take a class and make your own concoction. The rest if the main floor features well appointed but comfortable rooms for lounging and playing games, along with an upstairs couch with a view of the Hudson. Dinner was simply divine, and just steps from our lovely room. Breakfast was marvelous. Outside, guests were invited to roast marshmallows or stroll through the grounds. An easy drive from the local historical attractions, yet remote enough to feel like a country get away. Probably our favorite hotel. Period. Can't wait to go back.
