Worst hotel experience ever! Manager refused a handicapped room because we had a service dog with us. Told my friend I don't look handicapped because I was up walking around. Apparently yelled at my friend and said there is nothing wrong with me because I can walk. But in my experience just because you can't see my disability it does not mean it does not exist. I have neurological issues. Being put in a second floor room with a broken AC unit. The room was about 80 degrees. I did not sleep, I have issues with the elevator and stairs. My balance was thrown way off. But according to the ignorant and arrogant manager there is nothing wrong with me. I'd like to see her medical degree that gives her the right to assume nothing is wrong with me. Told my friend I used the amenities. Which I did not. I watched my daughter and her friend play in the pool. That I was walking fine. But I can't walk a straight line to save my life. I would not recommend anyone to ever stay in a place that is so discriminative against the handicapped. Let alone we had to fetch our own towels and blankets. This place is the worst and if I could I'd give it zero stars I would. Horrible service and horrible general management. Discrimination of my handicap and harassment of my friend. Absolutely unacceptable behavior of employees and management. I've never ever dealt with such ignorance in my life. Horrible service. Horrible room and her discrimination against my handicap is the most unacceptable behavior I've ever had to deal with. I should not have to prove my disability to request a handicapped room. The ignorance appauls me.
For those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Batavia, New York area, the Hampton Inn Batavia, located at 4360 Commerce Dr, Batavia, NY 14020, USA, is a prominent option. As part of the widely recognized Hilton brand, Hampton Inn properties typically offer a consistent set of amenities and services designed for both business and leisure travelers. However, it is essential to provide an objective overview, incorporating both the advertised features and real customer experiences.
The Hampton Inn Batavia, built in 2004, is a three-story hotel with 59 rooms, including various accessible room types. Its environment is situated in a shopping district, off Interstate 90 at Exit 48, making it convenient for travelers passing through or visiting nearby attractions. The hotel boasts an indoor heated swimming pool and a whirlpool, providing recreational opportunities for guests. There is also a commercially equipped fitness center for those wishing to maintain their workout routine. The property offers free self-parking, including spaces for RVs, buses, and trucks, which is a practical amenity for many travelers. While general expectations for Hampton Inn properties include a well-maintained and pleasant environment, some customer reviews indicate potential issues with the condition of rooms and facilities, describing them as "dated and old" or experiencing issues like a broken AC unit, which can impact guest comfort significantly. It's also worth noting that some guests have reported issues with room cleanliness, such as "urine smell" or stained linens, contrasting with other positive comments about general cleanliness.
In terms of services, the Hampton Inn brand is known for its "Hamptonality" – a commitment to friendly and helpful service. The hotel typically provides a complimentary hot breakfast buffet, which often includes waffles and oatmeal, along with "On the Run" breakfast bags on weekdays for guests in a hurry. Other standard services include a 24-hour business center, a guest laundry facility on-site, and valet laundry service. The front desk is typically staffed 24 hours a day. Free daily newspapers are usually available in the lobby. However, customer experiences regarding service at this specific location appear to be highly varied, with some guests praising "helpful staff" and "friendly" interactions, while others report "horrible service," "rude and unprofessional" management, and difficulties in resolving issues such as room allocation or billing discrepancies. This divergence in experiences suggests that service quality may not always be consistent.
The features of the guest rooms at Hampton Inn Batavia are generally aligned with the brand's standards. Each room is air-conditioned and includes a "clean and fresh Hampton bed" with pillowtop mattresses and premium bedding, a microwave, a mini-refrigerator, a coffee/tea maker, and a 37-inch LCD flat-screen TV with premium cable channels. Complimentary toiletries and hair dryers are provided in the bathrooms. Rooms also come with an iron and ironing board, and a laptop-compatible safe. There are specific accessible room types available, including those with roll-in showers or tubs, designed for guests with mobility and hearing needs. While these features are standard, actual guest experiences have pointed to issues such as broken AC units in rooms, uncomfortable beds, and a lack of sufficient towels, indicating that the condition and maintenance of these features may sometimes fall short of expectations. The hotel is pet-friendly, welcoming dogs and cats for an extra charge, with service animals exempt from fees.

While the hotel offers the core features of a Hampton Inn, individual experiences may vary significantly.

May 18, 2025 · Lisa DarlingI made the mistake of prepaying for rooms at this hotel for a business trip. The hotel has a hot water issue and did not stock all the rooms with towels. Imagine my surprise after stepping out of the shower and finding only a bathmat and a face cloth. And then to be met with its not our fault attitude. After using a hair dryer to dry my body enough to partially open a door to receive towels, I was pretty frustrated. then I went to the Hampton breakfast only to find stale food, minimal amounts of food and to learn that the person who handled breakfast had called out. Now 3 weeks later I am fighting with Hilton/hampton and this location who has charged for the prepay and after telling me they would credit it, have not done so and indeed have charged me an extra night. 5 nights when I stayed 2 and had to go pay for another hotel. I echo the statements made here by others, dont ever stay here. For me I am never staying at another Hilton property. Hilton assistance has been absolutely horrific...
Mar 18, 2025 · Jenny HahnAs in my previous reviews, I’ve been to many Hampton Inn throughout New York State. This location isn’t my favorite. It was quite crowded with military personnel, which is understandable as they have things going on in the area. For one the computer System wasn’t working so I had to book online again that’s fine. I believe the gentleman name was Harry in the front was very accommodating and nice. It’s just little things like my TV Remote didn’t work and the rooms could’ve been updated a little bit with a microwave and other amenities. I feel like either way you still get good value for your Money the continental breakfast at lack at this location as well.
Mar 27, 2025 · Jacob MirandaNext to highway. Couldn't block out the parking lot lights. Decor is old and dingy. Worst was the price. Near $300 for a standard room. In addition they add a $40 "incidental" fee they say they'll return later. Drive on!
May 11, 2025 · Geoff WesterveltIF YOU NEED LODGING IN BATAVIA, DO NOT STAY HERE! We have been staying at this location for over 10 years and it has always been a positive experience. The employees at the front desk have always been, and still are, very pleasant and helpful. It ends there! Our room smelled of urine so I brought it to the attention of staff. They came in and sprayed everything with bleach which eliminated the urine smell but created another odor issue. Nearly everything in the place has a sign on it that says “out of order” with the exception of the room keys. They work sporadically! During our 3 night stay, the 2 large dogs in the room next to us barked nonstop until the early morning hours. I see where the owner responds to most reviews that are critical of his establishment by saying that he is concerned and will address the issues noted! No you’re not! You could care less as you have been saying the same thing for over a year now! You are destroying this business and if you think that changing the name will help, you are mistaken!
