Fairytale family gathering. Our large family recently stayed at Hilltop Castle for our annual family reunion, and it was nothing short of a dream come true. The property is like something out of a storybook: Sprawling architecture, charming grounds, and picturesque setting. Nestled on a hilltop overlooking the surrounding forests and fields, Hilltop Castle offer a crazy amount of indoor space (30,000 sq ft). For a family that stays indoors all Shabbos (Saturday - iykyk), that is ample room for a huge crowd to be in. Inside, every room is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The rooms have numbers - hotel style - each room with its own large bathroom and shower. The style of the place is not designed to be very elegant (more of a rugged theme- this was done purposely) - but still expect to find everything perfectly clean and inviting and all the amenities: ample towels, soaps, shampoos, linen, comfortable beds, nothing is left out to make your stay super comfortable. If you're thinking of sleeping with children in your room, things can get a bit tight, as the rooms are not that large. There is an extremely generous amount of sitting areas, strategically placed bar tables, niches in the hallways with benches. Outside the rooms, there's literally unlimited space!!! We were also amazed by the attention to detail. One of the most impressive features was three amazing swimming pools. They were a huge hit with everyone, especially the kids! Each pool was crystal-clear, and while it cost a bit extra to have them heated, it was well worth every penny. Regardless of the weather, and the kids spent countless hours splashing around. The pools added such a luxurious touch to our stay. The rooms have an annoying pool alarm when you open the sliding doors to the outside - and that's a good thing. Beforehand, were were quite worried about the small kids and the pool, but it really worked out and everyone was able to stay safe because of the alarms. Obviously vigilance is important, but we found it extremely manageable. Multiple escape rooms are scattered throughout the castle! There is also what looks like a soda machine, but upon closer inspection the soda machine door opens up. It is an entrance to a slick video game room! There is also this crazy underground tunnel. Of course, there was plenty more to keep us entertained. The indoor FULL basketball court was perfect for family games, it has a raised scorer's table with a digital scoreboard and audio controls (the number of features in this place just don't end), a mini golf course in the basement, a massive home theater (80 seats!!) was a hit! The bowling alley - although it was hand-powered, added a charming, vintage feel, and the kids couldn’t get enough of it. There was also a game room complete with two pool tables, offering endless fun and friendly competition. The gourmet kitchen was another standout feature. We have several avid cooks in our family, and this kitchen was an absolute dream. Fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and ample counter space, it made preparing meals for a large group a breeze. The adjoining dining room was equally impressive, with a massive table that comfortably accommodated all of us for family feasts. It's right next to the lounge area that has loads of couches and three massive smart TVs. Outdoors, the beautifully landscaped grounds provided the perfect setting for family barbecues and outdoor games. The spacious patio was ideal for soaking up the sunshine during the day, while the fire pit became our go-to spot in the evenings. Sitting around the fire, toasting marshmallows, and sharing stories - great fun! There is an actual manicured walking path through the forest, that I unfortunately did not even have time to do, but it looked incredible. Side note: Upon arriving home, I realized that we had left a cheap DVD player at the castle. We mentioned it to the staff, and the owner of the castle himself had it shipped back to me the next day! That is the level of service that these guys provide. We'll be back!

The environment at Hilltop Castle is truly out of a storybook. Nestled majestically on a hilltop, it offers commanding views of the surrounding forests and fields, providing a picturesque and serene setting. The "sprawling architecture" and "charming grounds" immediately evoke a sense of grandeur and escape. With an astonishing "30,000 sq ft" of indoor space, the property ensures ample room for even the largest crowds, a feature highly valued by guests seeking expansive common areas for their group. While the interior style is described as "rugged theme" rather than overly elegant, this design choice contributes to a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, ensuring every space is "perfectly clean and inviting." The exterior grounds are beautifully landscaped, featuring spacious patios perfect for soaking up the sunshine, and a fire pit area for evening gatherings under the stars. There's even a "manicured walking path through the forest," inviting guests to explore the natural beauty of the 250-acre property. The combination of vast indoor and outdoor spaces ensures that guests can find both lively communal areas and quiet nooks for relaxation.

The services at Hilltop Castle are geared towards providing a seamless and incredibly comfortable experience for large groups. While it operates more as a private rental property than a traditional hotel with individual bookings, the level of service is exceptionally high. Guests can expect a pristine environment, with every amenity meticulously prepared. As noted by reviewers, rooms are provided with "ample towels, soaps, shampoos, linen, comfortable beds," ensuring that "nothing is left out to make your stay super comfortable." The owner and staff are highly praised for their attentiveness and responsiveness, going above and beyond, as evidenced by the owner personally shipping back a lost item. This "level of service" ensures that any needs or concerns are addressed promptly and effectively, contributing to a stress-free stay. The ability to cater to large families, including religious groups requiring indoor activities for an entire day, highlights the versatility and thoughtful planning behind the services offered. While not explicitly stated as traditional hotel services, the provision of a "gourmet kitchen" fully equipped with "top-of-the-line appliances and ample counter space" is a key service, enabling groups to self-cater elaborate meals with ease. The "adjoining dining room" with a "massive table" comfortably accommodates large family feasts.

The features of Hilltop Castle are what truly set it apart as an ultimate group destination. The sheer scale of amenities is "crazy." Highlights include:

  • Multiple Swimming Pools: Three amazing, crystal-clear swimming pools are a huge hit, especially with children. The option to have them heated for an extra cost is a valuable feature, allowing for year-round enjoyment regardless of weather. • Unique and Hidden Gems: Beyond the expected, there are "multiple escape rooms scattered throughout the castle." There's also a "crazy underground tunnel," hinting at more hidden discoveries.
  • Accommodation Layout: The rooms are "hotel-style" with numbers, each featuring its "own large bathroom and shower." While individual rooms might not be "that large" for co-sleeping with children, the "extremely generous amount of sitting areas, strategically placed bar tables, niches in the hallways with benches" and "literally unlimited space" outside the rooms compensate, offering ample communal areas.
  • Gourmet Kitchen & Dining: A "gourmet kitchen" is a dream for "avid cooks," fully equipped for preparing meals for large groups. The adjoining dining room and lounge area with "loads of couches and three massive smart TVs" provide perfect spaces for collective dining and relaxation.

These features combine to ensure that groups of all ages have endless options for fun, relaxation, and bonding.

Regarding promotional information, while Hilltop Castle operates as a private rental rather than a traditional hotel with standard nightly rates and public promotions, its booking typically involves a fixed rental fee for a specified period, often weekend or weekly rentals. The pricing structure is likely based on the property's immense size, extensive amenities, and the high-end experience it offers. Potential "promotional information" for users on "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms would focus on the unique value proposition for large groups. This might include:

  • All-Inclusive Experience: Highlighting that the single rental fee covers access to all the incredible amenities like pools (though heating may be extra), basketball court, theater, game rooms, etc., making it a cost-effective option for large groups compared to booking multiple hotel rooms and external activities.
  • Ideal for Specific Events: Promoting it as the perfect venue for family reunions, corporate retreats, multi-family vacations, and special celebrations, emphasizing the privacy and bespoke nature of the stay.
  • Booking Lead Time: Given its popularity and unique offering, potential guests might find information about the need to book well in advance, especially for peak seasons or holidays.
Specific rates or availability would be best obtained by contacting Hilltop Castle directly at (570) 251-1998 or +1 570-251-1998. The strong testimonials from past guests, describing it as "a dream come true" and highlighting the exceptional service and amenities, serve as powerful promotional content themselves, indicating a high return on investment for those seeking a truly unique and memorable group experience.

In conclusion, Hilltop Castle at 50 Castle Hill Rd, Beach Lake, PA, is an extraordinary option for anyone searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" with the specific need for a large-scale, private, and amenity-rich property. This was an excellent place for a large family get-together. Everything was clean and the theme is really taken to another level. Fun for kids of all ages, and the proprietor is really on top of things, takes care of anything and everything you need. He also located a lost item from our group and even mailed the item to them! The Enchanted Forest was also a great time, the kids enjoyed it and it was a nice place to get a few miles of trail running in.

We rented two properties here: the Farmhouse and the Lodge for a family and friends getaway. We could not have been more pleased. Both properties are beautiful, super clean and very well maintained. The surrounding property---lush fields and forests offered lots of opportunity to explore outdoors. We loved walked the Enchanted Trail. The Farmhouse was exceptional for entertaining. A well-appointed kitchen situated adjacent to a large living room with tons of natural light. Two big tables for meals together and a huge game room. Games of pool, some karaoke, and swimming in the heated indoor pool were highlights. The bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. I enjoyed the sauna in the master bedroom twice each day of our visit! The Lodge was a short two-minute walk from the Farmhouse and offered additional sleeping accommodations and a pool table for my slightly competitive family and friends. I really can't say enough about the property, the team (Matt and his crew). From start to end, this was a wonderful getaway....and we will certainly be back!

What a great place to hold a family reunion. Plenty of rooms and space for 40 people. Even though it rained for 3 days straight out of the 4.5 days we were there, there was plenty of activities to do within the house. On site gym that you could play basketball, pickle ball and even dodgeball. Movie theater on site as well as an arcade and mini golf. Kitchen was great to make meals for everybody, 5 fridges. The owner is on site and came over to clean the pool after the hurricane passed through, super nice guy.
