Picked this hotel for my first visit to Boston in over 30 years. DO NOT GET THE WICKED SMALL ROOM! We reserved the cheapest room for a long weekend. When we checked in the font desk personnel recommended we upgrade to a bigger room. We said no. However, when we got to our room, we were shocked at how small the room actually was. Words can not describe how small. I've never been in a room this small. The door to the bathroom was a folding closet door. I can't believe they actually charge for this. I immediately went back to the front desk and requested an upgrade. For only $30 more a day we got a room three times the size; it was awesome. Overall, the hotel is first rate, in a fantastic location. The gym is the best I have ever seen in a hotel; it was on par with full-service health club. The restaurant was pricey, but high quality. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel boasts a wide range of dining options. "Off the Common" is the hotel's lobby bar and restaurant, offering New England-inspired cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is praised for its quality. Features: Diverse Room Options and Notable Facilities
With 1,060 guest rooms and 55 suites, the Hilton Boston Park Plaza offers a wide array of accommodation types. The hotel has recently undergone a $100 million landmark transformation, updating all guestrooms, meeting, and public spaces. The rooms aim for a tailored look with a chic palette of charcoal, caramel, and camel tones, complemented by stone-topped wooden cabinetry, custom upholstered headboards, and warmly-hued carpeting. Enhancements include Smart TVs with streaming capabilities (Chromecast), Keurig coffee makers, safes, and ample desk-level outlets. The rooms typically feature pillowtop beds with premium bedding for comfort.
However, it is crucial for potential guests to be aware of the varying room sizes, a point frequently highlighted in customer reviews. Specifically, the hotel offers a room type known as the "Wicked Small Room" (available in King, Queen, or Double configurations). These rooms are indeed compact, approximately 180 square feet, and some guests have expressed shock at their diminutive size, noting cramped bathrooms with folding closet doors. While the hotel states they make an effort to set clear expectations for this room type, guests often recommend upgrading to a larger room if possible, as the difference in size for a small additional cost can be substantial. Other room types like "Superior Room" (280 sq ft for King/Queen, 280 sq ft for Two Queen Beds) and "Deluxe Room" (380 sq ft for King/Double, 380 sq ft for Two Double Beds) offer significantly more space and comfort. Suites, such as the King Studio Suite with Sofa Bed (550 sq ft) or the One-Bedroom King Suite with Sofa Bed (650 sq ft), provide even more expansive living areas.
Beyond the rooms, the hotel's common areas are a significant feature. The majestic lobby, the well-appointed Lynx Fitness Club, and the diverse on-site dining options contribute significantly to the overall experience. The hotel also boasts a gift shop on the property.

May 14, 2025 · Mike ElsbergExcellent location, easy access to everything Boston- will definitely stay here again. The lounge has a fabulous menu, lots of people-watching, multiple lounge areas and super fast elevators. Wicked small room was clean and provided all necessities. Very quiet after 10pm, double room darkening shades.
May 11, 2025 · Alicia WilliamsFantastic hotel with a great walking location to everything. The hotel has an old world historical feel with updated rooms and luxury amenities. The rooms have amazing views of Boston- even the bathroom in our suite had a large picturesque window with great views. The beds and pillows are the best, feels like home, and room service was excellent too. The lounge is really convenient and has a great modern chic vibe, with excellent options. Will definetely visit again.
Apr 02, 2025 · ShaunaThis seems like a hotel that used to be great. I probably would have loved to stay here in the 90s or oughties. The rooms are very basic and tiny. The toilets are... uniquely small, and the showers are leaky. The TV worked about half the time, but the rest of the time I couldn't get channels to start and it would just send me back to the home screen. The hotel property was lovely, and the ballroom was fantastic! But they seem to have lost focus on trying to impress guests and just want that sweet sweet conference cash. I definitely would not pick this hotel if there weren't a conference here. The lobby is very weird and bizarrely divided by a restaurant/bar making it hard to get to the elevators. I don't understand what they were thinking when they designed the place.
Apr 26, 2025 · Adam GicewiczLocation is great. The rooms are ridiculously cramped. Teeny bathrooms. The bar staff was awesome, but prices are exorbitant. That's not really unexpected, though. Much better and cheaper places to eat and drink very close by though. Service overall was sad. We asked 5 times for clean towels - which we never got until we just took them off a cart ourselves. When they did service the room, the didn't leave clean washcloths either. Overall, I would recommend.
