Its central location makes it a convenient choice for exploring the city or attending events.
The Hilton Scranton & Conference Center is a well-established property, designed to provide a comprehensive experience for its guests. As a Hilton brand hotel, it generally adheres to a certain standard of service and amenities that guests have come to expect. The hotel’s telephone number is (570) 343-3000 or +1 570-343-3000, making it easy for prospective guests to get in touch for reservations or inquiries.
When considering the environment of the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center, its downtown location places guests within easy reach of various Scranton attractions. This is a significant advantage for those looking to explore the city on foot or with minimal travel. The hotel itself, while a long-standing fixture in the area, presents a structure that aims to be inviting and functional. The lobby and common areas are typically designed to facilitate guest comfort and interaction, offering spaces for relaxation and business. However, it's worth noting that customer feedback occasionally points towards the hotel being an older property, suggesting that some areas might reflect an older design aesthetic or could benefit from more frequent updates.
The services offered at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center are diverse, aiming to meet the needs of a broad clientele. For dining, the hotel often features on-site restaurant options. A highlight frequently praised by guests is the breakfast bar, which includes made-to-order eggs, omelets, and creative pancakes. This personalized breakfast experience is often cited as a delight and a significant perk, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to culinary satisfaction. The staff working in the restaurant are consistently described as very nice people, contributing positively to the dining experience. Housekeeping services are, of course, a fundamental part of the hotel's offerings. One review specifically commends a maid on the 7th floor as "fabulous," "very sweet, understanding, and friendly," indicating a dedication to guest comfort and cleanliness by individual staff members.
In terms of features, the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center boasts amenities that enhance the guest experience. The hotel is equipped with a pool and a fitness center, both of which are utilized and appreciated by guests. The large pool area, in particular, is highlighted as being great for kids, making the hotel a suitable option for families. While a hot tub is mentioned, customer feedback indicates it may not always be operational, suggesting potential areas for improvement in amenity maintenance. For business travelers, the "Conference Center" in its name signifies its capacity to host meetings, events, and larger gatherings. This includes facilities that would typically support such functions, though a specific comment noted the absence of a dedicated office area suitable for video conference calls, which could be a consideration for remote workers or those requiring private meeting spaces.
Promotional information, while not explicitly provided in the raw data, can be inferred from the hotel’s consistent offerings and branding. As a Hilton property, guests can often expect access to the Hilton Honors loyalty program, which provides benefits like earning points for stays, room upgrades, and other exclusive offers. The hotel likely participates in various Hilton-wide promotions, seasonal discounts, or package deals that can be found on their official website or through travel platforms. The value proposition, as perceived by guests, is an important aspect of promotional appeal. While some guests have expressed disappointment regarding the value for money, citing issues like non-functioning amenities and perceived outdatedness for the price, others have highlighted positive aspects such as the excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and convenient location as significant draws. This mixed feedback indicates that the hotel's appeal can vary based on individual guest expectations and the specific room or experience they receive.
However, an objective introduction also requires acknowledging areas for improvement, as gleaned from customer reviews. One notable concern raised by a guest was the overwhelming smell of cannabis outside the hotel and in the lobby upon arrival. This can significantly detract from the initial impression and overall comfort for some guests. Room-specific issues also surfaced, including a television that wouldn't turn off without being unplugged, a thermostat that failed to cool the room adequately even when set to a low temperature, and a delay in receiving linens and pillows for a sofa bed. A particularly disappointing aspect for one guest was the "Jacuzzi" described as merely a large tub with a loud, non-functional button, suggesting a significant misrepresentation or malfunction of a key amenity. The non-functioning ice machine was another minor, yet cumulative, issue contributing to an uncomfortable stay for one guest. These points indicate a need for consistent maintenance and quality control to ensure all advertised features are fully operational and to meet guest expectations, especially at a price point nearing $300 a night.
In summary, the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center offers a convenient location and several appealing features, including a well-regarded breakfast service, a large pool, and a fitness center. Its conference facilities make it a viable option for business events. For those searching "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Scranton area, it stands as a prominent choice. While it provides many services and amenities that align with the Hilton brand, potential guests should also be aware of past customer feedback regarding maintenance issues, particularly with in-room features and certain amenities like the hot tub and Jacuzzi tubs, and the occasional mention of the property's age. Overall, its strengths lie in its location, specific service highlights like breakfast, and its capacity as a conference venue, making it a functional option for many travelers, provided expectations are managed regarding the potential for some aspects to be less than fully updated or operational.

We booked the King Jacuzzi Suite well in advance for two adults and two children, expecting a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, we were extremely disappointed. First, the overwhelming smell of weed outside the hotel and in the lobby was off-putting. Once in our room, the issues continued: The TV in the bedroom wouldn’t turn off unless unplugged. The room was hot, and the thermostat (set to 60) did nothing to cool it. There were no linens or pillows for the sofa bed, and it took nearly an hour for housekeeping to bring them—though they were friendly. The "Jacuzzi" was just a large tub. When we pressed the button, it only made a loud muffler-like noise but didn’t work at all. The ice machine was also not working.... It seemed to be one thing after the other leading to an uncomfortable stay. For nearly $300 a night, we expected much better. The hotel is old, needs updates, and was definitely not worth the price. Would not stay again.
Mar 02, 2025 · John DawnI love the location, minus the parking. I dislike walking next door and up the elevator for parking. I love the pool and fitness center, both of which I use. The breakfast bar and made to order eggs, omelets and creative pancakes is a real delight! Very nice people work in the restaurant too. Our maid on the 7th floor is fabulous. She’s very sweet, understanding and friendly. Only thing I miss in the hotel is an office area for video conference calls. Otherwise, all is well! Great for kids with large pool area. Be glad when hot tub is repaired!
Apr 28, 2025 · Brenda JohnsonI stayed at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center during a business trip and overall, it met my expectations. The hotel has a great central location, making transportation very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I was satisfied with the level of service. The rooms were clean, but they could benefit from a bit of modern renovation. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers.
Mar 27, 2025 · Tahsin ÖZDEMİRI upgraded to a more expensive suite expecting a better experience, but unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. The room was outdated, with a small, aging shower and a worn-out tub. The TV was old, and the air conditioning didn’t work at all. I reached out after receiving a message about my stay to mention the condition of the room, but never received a response. When they followed up again, I brought up the same concerns—and was ignored once more. On top of that, I was charged for a meal I never ordered and am still waiting to hear back about that issue. The bathroom fan appeared broken, with rust or some kind of residue dripping from it, and the overall cleanliness of the room was disappointing. It looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while, with visible unpainted plaster on the ceiling. Additionally, the painted sidewalk outside the building became dangerously slippery when wet—something that definitely needs to be addressed for guest safety. All in all, this was far from the quality I expected for the price I paid.
Apr 05, 2025 · Michal DomaradzkiThe room was clean, tidy and well stocked. The room service was pleasant and they changed my linen upon request. Very spacious bathroom. No fragrance in the room. Not an amazing view from the window, but good location. Staff at the front made check in and out very simple. 5/5
