Apr 15, 2025 · Nancy Comstock SmithI would love to give this hotel The best review ever five stars is not enough, but that’s all I could review here! The hotel is historic with a lot of history and it is from my hometown Scranton, Pennsylvania, where I now reside in New York City in Manhattan! The people in the hotel as well as the area are very friendly open minded, as well as the hotel staff being extremely prompt, professional, competent, and most importantly empathetic for any particular reason! I needed something in emergency and Trey was able to assist me and take care of everything within less than a minute ! The food is amazing and I live in a city( Manhattan) which is a city full of ethnic foods from all over the world and I have to say the rooms were very clean and anything we needed was able to happen! I’ve stayed in this hotel numerous times and will continue staying in it as long as I come home to visit family and will recommend it to anyone !
Apr 20, 2025 · Stephen GoloskyI’m not so sure this place cleans their rooms between guests… we were moved out of the first room because there was a used towel balled up in the corner of the room, which shows me it wasn’t properly and thoroughly cleaned. The second room has sunflower seeds, presumably from the previous guest, on the floor. I hadn’t noticed them until the next morning, so it was too late to say anything but it definitely shows a pattern of general uncleanliness. The front desk employees have all been nice, location is convenient, and the building itself is really pretty, but rooms are dirty. Also, there are no towel bars anywhere in the bathrooms - so strange!
Apr 23, 2025 · Dixie DuffieThe building is a beautiful piece of history, being a former train station build in the early 1900s, there was marble, tile, chandeliers, old wooden benches, stained glass and an expansive dining room and bar area space. The rooms were clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the bar and it was delicious!
Mar 05, 2025 · Susan GSo something is going on with the Rooms here! We stayed In January and had to change rooms because of No Heat. And this past weekend our room had a strange odor. We requested to be moved but they send up someone to check it out. They changed the air filter in the heating unit. (Which didn't help) then they said they would send up house cleaning & spray the room?? They had no other room to move us to because they were sold out due to the St Patrick's Day Parade. We said ok, then we will check out, this is at 5pm and they said we will have to pay! After a 1/2 hour of back-and-fourth they agreed not to charge us. So on our way out in the elevator we meet a couple and start talking and they had to be moved TWICE because of an odor in their room. We also met a women the day before who asked us if the water in our room was BROWN! If you read other reviews both of these problems are not a 1 time incident. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are very nice, I am writing this bad review of the rooms to help bring attention to the problem in hopes that they address the problem!
