The FRINT DESK, I just pulled in after a 2 hour drive and I walked in bubbly because I'm visiting my Granddaughter. I told the front desk I was here to check in 2:32pm. She had a melt down along with an attitude. When I approached her it wasn't it wasn't inviting could it had have been my complexion. Maybe, yep I said it. She proceeded to be rude, tone and hand gestures provoked me to react. She said I do t have a room now you can't check in until 3 pm. She said it twice. I said calm down. Your hand gestures and tone are not called for. I said you are giving Karwn vibes. That missed her off. She said what did you say. . I did not repeat. She became really rude after that. 'What is your name" she asked. Whoa that's what we're doing. I gave my name She said not until 3 and then she hoped up and walked away. I went to my car called customer service and filed a complaint. I'm not tolerating the rudeness.

However, an objective introduction based on the provided customer reviews necessitates a critical examination of the actual guest experience at this specific location, as the feedback highlights significant concerns regarding customer service and operational management. These reviews, dated March 2025, are highly critical and point to serious shortcomings that prospective guests should be aware of.
The first review describes a highly negative interaction at the front desk upon check-in, where the guest experienced "a melt down along with an attitude" from the staff member. The reviewer mentions rudeness, an uninviting demeanor, and provocative tone and hand gestures, leading to a complaint being filed with corporate customer service. This incident highlights a severe issue with front-line customer interaction, which is the first point of contact for guests and crucial for setting a positive tone for the stay. Accusations of discriminatory treatment ("could it had have been my complexion. Maybe, yep I said it") further compound the seriousness of the reported behavior, suggesting a deeply unprofessional and potentially hostile environment for certain guests.
The second review details a "Terrible and Incompetent Management and Staff" experience, specifically concerning billing issues. The guest was incorrectly charged multiple times ($110 initially by Priceline, then a $50 deposit, followed by an additional $47.59 charge). Attempts to resolve these discrepancies with front desk staff (David) and later with management (Holly) were met with further incompetence, misdirection, and dismissiveness. Instead of rectifying the error, the front desk employee compounded the issue, leading to a higher total charge. The manager, Holly, is described as "dismissive" and lacking "urgency and professionalism" in resolving the financial discrepancies. This detailed account of financial mismanagement and poor customer service, even from a managerial level, indicates a systemic problem with staff training, accountability, and customer relations at this location. The reviewer's strong recommendation for "Holiday Inn Express Corporate level scrutinizing this location management and its staff" underscores the severity of the issues faced.
These recent and detailed reviews, focusing on critical aspects of hotel operations – front desk service and billing accuracy – are significant red flags for any potential guest. They suggest that while the brand promises a certain level of service and convenience, this particular location may be falling short in delivering on those promises due to staff behavior and management's inability to resolve issues effectively.
From a promotional standpoint, Holiday Inn Express properties often run various deals through the IHG Rewards Club program, offering points for stays, discounts for members, and seasonal promotions. However, given the severe issues raised in the recent customer feedback, any promotional appeal would be significantly undermined by concerns about the basic reliability of service and financial transactions. While the hotel's presence on the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform suggests its availability and competitive positioning, prospective guests should exercise extreme caution. It would be advisable for anyone considering this hotel to check very recent reviews from multiple sources and to be prepared to document all interactions and charges, given the reported issues with billing and front desk conduct. Direct contact with the hotel at the provided phone numbers (609) 702-5800 or +1 609-702-5800 should be approached with an awareness of the potential for similar service challenges.
In conclusion, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Burlington - Mount Holly by IHG offers the typical amenities and convenient location associated with the brand, making it geographically appealing for users of the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform. However, the very recent and critical customer reviews highlighting significant issues with front desk staff rudeness, potential discrimination, and severe financial mismanagement by both staff and management warrant extreme caution. Potential guests must weigh the convenience of the location and brand features against these serious concerns regarding customer service and operational competence before making a booking decision.

Mar 22, 2025 · Fiction QueenTerrible and Incompetent Management and Staff I had a very disappointing experience at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Burlington-Mt. Holly, NJ. I booked my stay through Priceline, which already charged me $110 for the room. Upon checking in on March 3, 2025, I was charged an additional $50 deposit. However, the following day, I noticed another charge of $47.59 on my card on March 4th. I immediately called the front desk, and David assured me that his colleague had made a mistake by charging the $47.59. He promised that both the $50 deposit and the $47.59 would be refunded. But instead of fixing the issue, David added the $50 deposit to the $47.59, resulting in a total of $97.59 charged to my card. I then called the manager, Holly, on March 6, 2025, hoping for a resolution. Instead of addressing the problem, she was dismissive and informed me that the refund would not happen immediately. This lack of urgency and professionalism was completely unacceptable. Now, my credit card shows the $50 deposit, and the $97.59. If there were an option to rate zero stars, I would choose that. The level of incompetence, especially from management, is beyond comprehension. If anything I would recommend Holiday Inn Express Corporate level scrutinizing this location management and its staff in order to prevent staff from being incompetent and manager being unprofessional and have no skills in customer relations.
Mar 06, 2025 · Blake ChinRooms r clean n ypu have a small frig a microwave a single coffee maker. Not sure if all room have this pull out table but that was a nice addition. Breakfast is a good selection. I get this place cause it's right next to the grayhouse bus stop.
Jan 04, 2025 · jess dayI recently had an emergency and had to book quickly. After we booked 30 mins later it turned out we did not need the room so we called the hotel and asked to cancel. Even though we just booked 30 mins prior they refused to waive the cancellation fee which was $136. I contacted corporate and the individual properties set their cancellation policies and can allow refunds. This is supposed to be a hospitality organization, but its really a greedy corporation.
Dec 07, 2024 · Thomas SantoroI was booked to check in on Thanksgiving afternoon when seeing all the bed bug reviews. I have three small children, and there was no way I was risking getting bed bugs. I pulled into the parking lot and there was a dumpster full of carpet rolls and that's great your making renovations and hopefully taking care of the bed bug issues however I never even checked into this hotel and requested a refund and was told it was going to be no problem that the manager would be back Monday and to leave a message. Now the manager isnt returning my calls and was told i couldnt recieve a refund due to not telling the front desk their was a issue and i did tell them and was even forwaeded to the manager ro leave a message to get a call when they returned Monday after Thanksgiving.i even called back a few days later and was told the manager was at their neighboring property and would call upon arrival and never did. I took my steps to get a refund and was still denied. It's the holidays, and I don't have money to just throw away. This is so wrong and not how to conduct business. I feel scammed.
