We didn't even last the night. Passing through for a family trip and decided to stop for the night. There was one room available, and once we got into the room it was clear it hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. There were cobwebs on the wall, it smelled musty, there was an empty bottle of Coca-Cola under one of the beds, the desk was dirty, and the sheet to cover the boxspring didn't even cover the whole thing. I checked for bed bugs and didn’t see anything but as soon as we were starting to settle down for the night we noticed 3 bugs on the nightstand, and 2 on the pillowcase. They didn't look like nymph bedbugs but I'm not taking any chances. The front desk staff person canceled our check in and said we wouldn't be charged, but he looked like he could care less either way.

Some feedback points to concerns about cleanliness, including cobwebs, musty smells, dirty surfaces, and inadequate bedding (e.g., boxspring not fully covered). There have also been concerning reports of bugs found in rooms, though not specifically identified as bed bugs. Other reviews indicate a general perception of the hotel and rooms looking "dirty" or "run down," particularly beyond the lobby area, with issues like unmaintained pool areas and unpleasant smells. This suggests a potential inconsistency in housekeeping and maintenance standards.

May 23, 2025 · Jacqui SantiagoThe employees we encountered were kind and helpful. The hotel itself was clean in the lobby. However, once you made it to the elevator it took a turn. Our room was on the 2nd floor and everything just looked dirty (floors, walls). The pool area was also not greatly maintained. There was a weird smell in the area and 2 of my children ended up with chlorine rash all over their face and bodies. We needed to go to a pharmacy to get them medicated cream on our way home.
Mar 24, 2025 · Caitlin WightmanWe lasted under an hour. Very dark and underlit with an unclean stale smell. Went up to room, hallway walls were dirty with damage, carpets were very old and large bleach stains. My sheets in my room were gritty. Room was dark. Decided “it’s just one night.” Went to pool. Liner peeling off in corner. Dirt in bottom. Liner worn away and seemingly stained along edge. Jacuzzi smelled aweful and had dirt also. A hair extension adorned the pool edge proclaiming “no one ever cleans in here.”
Apr 17, 2025 · Janelle Brown ArtistHorrible rooms! Did not stay! Worst Holiday Inn Express ever been. Person at the front desk was very nice. Health department needs shut this hotel down. The indoor swimming pool smelled like sewer. OMG
May 24, 2025 · Cynthia NineI read some of these reviews and I must admit and agree with the one star and two star reviews. This hotel is TIRED. Carpets in hallways are truly disgusting. Even the carts to carry your luggage are old and appear to be home made. The light in our shower is filled with flies. We travel a lot and I didn’t think I would need to check reviews about this hotel as we’ve stayed at many of them in our travels. That was a mistake. We would never stay here again.
