Geat Location, Scenic View & Good Breakfast, Just No Late Night Options Stayed for one night and really enjoyed the central location, perfect for exploring the city. Our room had a unique and unexpected view of the Embassy of Hungary, which added a nice touch. Breakfast the next morning was quite good, with a decent variety and quality. The only downside was that there were no food or drink options available after 10 PM, which was a bit disappointing after a late evening out. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay.

The LOCATION itself gets 5 stars. I walked over to the monuments with my grandmother they were all within less than a 45 minute walk. The rooms needs to be renovated. I couldn’t charge my phone fully at all even when I slept 8 hours and kept it on charge my phone would only charge 20%. I tried every single plug and half of them were loose. Please fix that. Also, the TV channels were wrong. It would say 48 hours and it would literally be Telemundo. My grandmother had to call and have somebody come up. The housekeepers did their best but they didn’t have that hospitality feel my grandmother was talking about. Barely any of them said hello. The towels were also really rough on my skin and one of the new hand towels I received had a white paste on it. I threw it to the floor immediately! Even the breakfast buffet was confusing. One minute a waiter is telling us to sit then we’re sitting for 10 minutes and another waiter came to say we can walk up and grab food. However utensils had to be requested and by the time I got it my breakfast was already warm.

The location of the hotel is perfect: less than a 20-minute walk from the White House and within easy reach of most attractions in DC. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, spacious, and had a great view. The gym and the self-service laundry room were great amenities too. Would definitely stay here again.

These guys are top notch. Stayed here twice and had nothing but a great experience. They have a lovely lobby with a nice TV where me and my family watched some March Madness after a long day exploring DC, and the room had a nice view of the nearby streets. My most recent stay was more of the same. Upon checking out and getting in my ride to the airport, I realized I left my sunglasses in the lobby. I called the hotel and Paula was kind enough to help facilitate returning my glasses, all the way back on the West Coast! Also thank you to the housekeeping for the great service. This team went above and beyond and I will be staying here in the future when I travel to DC. The location is also great, walking distance to the vibrant Dupont Circle community, McPherson Metro, the White House, and local eateries. Highly recommend for business travelers who have work in the area or families looking for a dependable option. Thank you Holiday Inn Team! :)

Upon arriving at the hotel at 3pm, my girlfriend and I stopped for lunch at Johnny Rockets. After about 5min sitting at one of the tables, we spotted a rat lurking around one of the tables in the back. I alerted the restaurant and they started to look for it. We considered leaving but since the reviews were good we decided to give it a shot. When we went up to the room it was in good shape, however the bathroom was pretty small - reminded us of an airport bathroom. However we knew that we’d be walking around doing tourist stuff all day so we said that we didnt care. At dinner, we decided to switch hotels because we realized how non-hygenic everything was… We let the front desk know and they told us to check out in the morning. When we were packing, I found a bug crawling over my backpack that was on the sofa… (see attached). I immediately went down and showed them photos and videos and asked for a refund and compensation. The manager gladly did so and i appreciated it, which is why i give the service 3 stars. It seemed like it was an issue that they were already aware of it based on their reactions. I suggest caution when coming to this hotel and to keep your eyes peeled. Realistically, the department of sanitation needs to know about this and they need to get reported.
