Sep 04, 2019 · Priyamvadha SivakumarThank you to Valda and Chuck for your loving hospitality. We felt very welcomed there. We can't wait to come again. We stayed at the Hideaway cabin and it was so relaxing listening to the water rushing in the creek at night. It was so clean and had everything we needed. The Pavillion was fantastic and fun to sit by the fire at night and roast marshmallows. It is very pet friendly so the dog had a great time too. It was a wonderful getaway. Thank you so much. Karen and Mike.
Jun 05, 2018 · Karen KellyWhat a beautiful, historical, magical place. We brought our boys this trip so they could see and explore the beauty of Tennessee and North Carolina. What they got to experience in their two night, one day stay at the Holyfield cabin made for a lifetime of memories. It was like coming to stay with Grandpa and Grandma in the country, only this country is magical. The beauty is surreal. The cabins are adorable, the surroundings peaceful and Chuck and Valda......simply the best hosts of anywhere we’ve ever stayed. Bring a few groceries and you have everything else you could possibly need. This will be our future place to stay when we come back to visit this part of the country. Thank You to Chuck and Valda both!!!!!!
Jul 20, 2018 · Shannon CollinsWe had a wonderful time at Chuck and Valda’s! From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming hosts and gave us an incredible history of their space. We loved learning about its roots. Valda graced us with some homemade peach ice cream and it was out of this world! We all wanted more! The cabin and bunkhouse are cozy and the decor matched the serene nature that surrounded us. Our favorite feature was the back deck that overlooked the flowing creek and the outdoor fireplace that our family gathered around in the evening. Valda and Chuck are thoughtful and caring and one evening while we were out, they left a baby gate on the deck for us, knowing that we had our puppy with us. We lacked nothing and gained new friendships! Thank you dearly, Valda and Chuck! We are already planning a trip back! 💜
Jul 29, 2020 · M MFWe actually stayed in the hideaway cabin on the same property, but it was quite similar and perfect for our needs. Our hosts were so welcoming! They took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. In the evening we sat on the large porch by the outdoor fireplace & played board games & in the morning we sat facing the waterfall where I did some yoga as I listened to the falls! Chuck (one half of Chuck & Valda, our hosts) came through on his four wheel & told us stories about a 2000yr old Indian trail on the property that we were excited to hike. What a great property. I just love that they are sharing it with travelers like us who adore the great outdoors!
