I travel a lot for work. I haven't experienced better customer service at any hotel I stayed. I had some issues with room bookings due to 3rd party services (no fault of the hotel!). The front desk agents and manager were very accommodating and worked with me to make sure I got exactly what I needed. Special thanks to the receptionist that was there during my check in. Didn't catch her name, but she was wonderful and very nice. Another special thanks to the manager for giving her employees the ability to provide exceptional service. And a third one to Rudy, who helped me after my check out. All stars all of you :)

This offers a more serene and picturesque experience, allowing you to enjoy the river's beauty without being in the midst of the most bustling, tourist-heavy sections. However, rest assured, you're still incredibly well-connected to all the action.
From Hotel Havana, you can easily access many of San Antonio's key attractions. The proximity to bus stops means public transport is also an option for getting around.
Hotel Havana prides itself on offering services that enhance its unique boutique experience. While it may not have all the sprawling amenities of a large chain hotel, it focuses on thoughtful touches and personalized service:
Hotel Havana truly stands out for its unique blend of features and a customer service philosophy that emphasizes guest comfort:
While the overall experience is often delightful, it's important for potential guests to be aware of some occasional feedback, such as isolated reports of less-than-ideal staff interactions or pest sightings (though the hotel's overall cleanliness is highly rated), and the vintage nature of the building means elements like creaking wood floors are part of its character. The pricing, typical for a boutique luxury experience in a prime location, should be considered.
Hotel Havana, as part of the Bunkhouse hospitality group, frequently offers unique promotions and packages designed to enhance your stay:
These promotions are dynamic, so it's always best to check the official Hotel Havana website (https://www.bunkhousehotels.com/hotel-havana/specials) or call them directly to find the most current and relevant deals for your travel dates.

Apr 23, 2025 · Teg SinghI was so excited to stay here… The pictures looked amazing. But the service/experience was pretty disappointing 🥺 which was sad because it was 300.00+ a night. Let’s get into it: -my husband had called on the way up to check and see if there were any rooms with bigger beds available. When we booked there was only 1 room option so we took it and hoped maybe by the time we got there maybe there was a cancellation and we could upgrade… when we called Saturday morning… the front desk girl was SO rude, like it was the WORST question she had ever been asked…I’ve never been treated that way as a hotel guest… ever. -The room looked just like the picture, and it appeared very clean and cozy…. But a large roach 🪳 ran across the floor and under the bed and we spent an hour trying to find it and never could. I’m terrified of roaches and was so scared it would return. -we made reservations at the OCHO restaurant that is part of the hotel … I was SO excited to eat here after seeing pictures. We got there at our reservation time and got sat. Our waiter took forever to bring us menus and when we said “thank you!” He never replied.. then again when he brought out water we said “thanks!” And he just walked off… I was feeling really uncomfortable and it was such a vibe killer to feel like we were such a bother so I asked my husband if we could please go somewhere else… we got up and walked to a different restaurant and had a great time. I wish I would have picked the Hotel Valencia instead, but unfortunately I fell for the perfect pictures and booked here instead. Take it from me, and find somewhere else! ❤️
May 05, 2025 · Meagan RI wanted to like this hotel but it just wasn’t up to normal standards. Pretty threadbare and no services. The bar was closed for a private event so we couldn’t get a drink or even sit near the river outside of the bar. We tried but were kicked out. No bottles of drinking water so I had to drink tap water during the night. It’s been years since I’ve not had complimentary water in the room. Yes, there was sparkling water in the mini bar but who wants to take pills and it or spend money on it? I left a 24k gold chain in the room and I tried calling multiple times to have someone check for it but no one answered the phone and no one called me back so by the time I got ahold of someone, it was gone. Expensive mistake. I probably would have gotten it back if they had answered the phone before the cleaning crew. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Sorry.
Mar 17, 2025 · Patti Ryanwinter for drag brunch Sunday so I did not stay at the hotel but the hotel is very cute. It's a boutique hotel so it's very small and very quaint, but went there to eat breakfast or brunch and watch the dry queens. The show was very good. the girls were funny andyeah little amateur young girls coming up in there in the circuit, but they were very nice very friendly. They were funny they dance. It was a great show. I enjoyed it a lot.
Jan 14, 2025 · Ty HensonThis was our third time staying at the Havana, and sadly I think it will be our last. We stayed three nights and slept terribly. The first night we were so cold (even with the thermostat cranked all the way up) we had to request an additional blanket. The second and third nights were a Friday and Saturday, so we woke up often to loud groups leaving the bar outside our window and high heels clomping around on the creaky floors late into the night. In addition to that, we shared a wall with a very angry baby who wailed for hours. The Havana offers ear plugs at the front desk, but my suggestion would be to leave them in each of the rooms- because you’ll definitely need them!! The beds are comfy, the staff is kind, the complimentary coffee is good. But for that price… we’ll pay for peace and quiet elsewhere. Sorry Bunkhouse, we’re usually huge fans 💔
