What a cool experience, and one that blew my mind when I showed up. I had no idea a hotel could look like this, with an instant vibe of early 1900’s nostalgia. The lighting is fantastic too, dim lit and cozy. Just look at the pictures and tell me this place doesn’t look amazing. They didn’t cheap out on little touches either. My comforter looked like it was custom made. The incredible bar felt like it was really made in the past too, with custom bar stools and couches. The real candle on the table had a dimmer! They had another speakeasy bar outside on the side of the building, with equal vibe ridiculousness. This was a one of a kind spot that is absolutely worth checking out, especially if you’ve seen the same kind of hotel a hundred times! Thank you for the great experience!

Jun 06, 2025 · Ryan LynnI truly cannot be more excited about a hotel! Stayed for a long weekend and was impressed from the moment I walked into the lobby. It smells great! Reception was outstanding! Perfect balance of personable and professional. The room is one of the coolest I have ever stayed in. Very thought decorations and the textiles are great! I was able to gaze at the Washington Monument while I was in the bath!!! Bloom, Ash, and the Coral Wig made me feel a lot cooler than I really am. Great atmosphere and craft cocktails. Just a great time in the city! Rare to have an experience that was excellent from start to finish, but everyone that I encountered at the Ulysses was amazing.
May 14, 2025 · janell cannadyWe had a great time staying at Hotel Ulysses! The location in Mount Vernon was fantastic and close to everything. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bars/restaurants are truly unique and so well curated. The hotel rooms are on the smaller side, but we didn’t care because we were out for most of the day anyway. I adored the funky design of the rooms. Could not recommend more! Photo is the view from our room.
Apr 24, 2025 · Sophia HobbsWonderful Stay with Exceptional Service! My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ulysses. The hotel has a distinct charm, and while the interior is certainly stylish, what stood out most was the warmth and hospitality of the team—especially the guys working at the Ash bar! We were lucky to have an amazing conversation with the chef, which made our experience even more special. Of course, the cocktails and food were absolutely on point, making our evenings even more enjoyable. The combination of great design, a welcoming people, and excellent drinks made our stay truly memorable. We’d love to come back!
Feb 23, 2025 · Federica MagiThe aesthetic and vibe of the hotel are definitely the main selling points – it's immaculate. The room, though small, was beautifully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel also has a lovely scent throughout, creating an overall romantic atmosphere. It feels like a place designed for content creation, but the hospitality seemed to take a backseat. We absolutely loved the Coral Wig, and our bartender was amazing. However, we did miss more modern amenities (or any, really). We selected the continental breakfast option, but it didn’t exist, which was disappointing. That option should definitely be removed. Additionally, the water pressure and temperature in the shower were frustrating. Despite the beautiful shower, the water was only slightly warm, and we were freezing going in and out. I'm curious how rooms with bathtubs manage to have hot water for baths. We also waited outside for over 30 minutes for valet service, but it never arrived. We ended up having to self-park in the pouring rain. Overall, while the hotel has a lot of potential, there were several areas that left us wanting more. If what we paid had been a different price point I likely wouldn’t be writing this review but I was absolutely stunned when my husband shared he paid $300+ for such a lackluster experience.
