My stay at Roomza Inner Harbor within the Lord Baltimore Hotel was a bit disappointing. I wasn't aware that this was a 'hotel within a hotel,' and the concept was new to me. Unfortunately, there seemed to be significant miscommunication between the two hotels, which made things confusing. The valet parking situation was chaotic, and the person responsible for Roomza was often nowhere to be found. The rooms were average at best, and since I was only there for one night, I tried to make the most of it. However, given the issues, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Despite some feedback regarding occasional operational hiccups, particularly with breakfast ordering or service follow-through for specific requests, the core comforts – described as "rooms were great," "beds great, wifi great" – suggest a comfortable base. The potential for a complimentary breakfast, even with specific ordering instructions, also offers a value-add. For Marylanders looking for a convenient, comfortable, and distinctly unique urban escape or a practical base for events, the Roomza Inner Harbor at Lord Baltimore provides an intriguing option that leverages its central location and attempts to offer a more personalized touch than many traditional hotels. It’s a good choice for those who appreciate unique concepts and a central location for exploring Charm City.

Oct 08, 2024 · Jonte LeeThis was a strange stay really. It should have been 5 stars but the way Roomza is is just odd and complicated and we were let down a few times. The valet only parking option is kind of annoying everytime you need access to your car but broadly worked well. Rooms were great and the added extras/snacks etc are very welcome. Beds great, wifi great, location superb. The bathroom is perhaps a little dated. But on the whole I would have been a lot more positive about the experience had it not been for the issues (see below). I think the roomza staff we spoke to are trying and didnt mean for any of our issues to happen. On arrival they advised a free breakfast is available in the morning but left out that you have to book it before 10pm. We had no idea about this requirement. When we arrived at the bistro in the morning they said they didn't have a breakfast for us but we could pay for one. It took Roomza best part of an hour to look into it who said that as we haven't ordered they cant accommodate breakfast for us (seems bizarre because it was just scrambled eggs and the bistro was selling scrambled egg. Like how can that not be resolved in a place that makes food). They did say we could have a pastry but we didn't bother. It then turned out when I asked how we book for the next day then, it turned out there should have been a menu in our room which states you must order with a QR code. Had this been in the room or better just been told I obviously would have ordered the free breakfast. Just all very confusing and needless hassle and getting turned away from the bistro was sort of embarrassing. The lock on the room door was faulty too. Unless you very carefully shut the door tight it wouldn't lock. You could just push the door open without the keycard which ive never known happen at any hotel. We went out all day and came back to our door unlocked and therefore insecure following the cleaning as the cleaner didn't pull the door tight enough behind them. The other thing, after we worked out the breakfast ordering there were other options to request drinks be replenished on the next room refresh. I did this but the cleaner didn't restock anything at all, not even water or the coffee pods. They just left the used coffee cups there too from the day before, just weird. I also requested use of the theragun and that didn't happen either. In the end we found a fridge next to the ice machine that had waters in it so we just took some of them and couldn't be bothered to chase up the theragun order/coke cans. So even when you follow the process and order something, that doesn't work out either We successfully obtained the breakfast following our 2nd night. Wish we hadn't. Stone cold French toast and cold bacon in a box. The food must have been sat there hours. I honestly dont get it, its a bistro cafe, they wouldnt serve that to a customer off the street. Also didn't get offered a coffee, just a cold box of food. As a final point this is a hotel within a hotel. There is a guy on the hotel reception which I assume has nothing to do with roomza but he is just weirdly surly. Like he's on the main desk of the hotel, of course people will ask him questions roomza or lord baltimore guests. It just gives me a bad impression of Roomza because there is no other person visible you sort of have to ask the person that is there. Or you have to start sending WhatsApp messages etc. Roomza just needs to concentrate on the basics for now. Forget all the ordering items, convoluted processes to opt in to breakfasts and make sure the rooms are secure and cleaning service are good first. It's like they are trying to do too much. If there was no breakfast available that would be fine, better that than cold food and some strange opt in process. Check in instructions and valet parking instructions need to be clearer too. There were just zero check out instructions so you needed to go and see aforementioned surly hotel reception to drop key cards I was gonna give 2 stars but upped it to 3 as it was comfortable and free parking in the city is welcome
Sep 26, 2024 · Christopher JonesBeing greeted by 3 beautiful faces made us feel like celebrities. The rooms are cozy, come with free non alcoholic beverages and snacks. The robes and slippers are so comfy. This place is nothing short of amazing. It's going to be very hard to top this! We look forward to staying here again in the future.
Apr 22, 2024 · Jessica DickinsonPhenomenal hotel experience. It is a hotel within a hotel. The Roomza staff is outstanding! Polite, professional, and sincerely glad to help. Highly recommend if you’re looking to stay in Inner Harbor. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the harbor itself. Overall, happy we stayed here.
Jun 15, 2024 · Jake SConsider elsewhere. Room check-in process was a drag, our family as well as other guests waiting to "check-in" were left in the lobby of the Lord Baltimore hotel for over an hour. Please be aware that you are not a guest of the Lord Baltimore...but based on the lack of professionalism from the front desk; loud cackling, sarcasm noted to other guests and casual attire of their staff - wouldn't consider booking with them either. The room is really just a block of rooms on the 16th floor, all in need of repairs and renovation. Pros: close proximity to sporting venues, and comp'd valet. "Complimentary snacks" if that is a perk for you. Cons: rooms are old, AC barely kept up, walls are thin, check-in process was an employee that appeared with an ipad in the lobby after an hour wait, room keys kept deactivating for the elevator.
