Convenient Location, But Wait Until Renovations Are Complete I recently stayed at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards while attending a convention, and while the location couldn’t have been more convenient—it’s just a short walk to the convention center and Camden Yards—the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The hotel is clearly undergoing renovations, and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the current state of the rooms and facilities made the stay feel underwhelming. The rooms are outdated, with worn furnishings and a general need for modern upgrades. The elevators were also a major issue—far too small for a busy hotel, especially during peak hours when guests are checking in or heading to events. The biggest concern, however, was the water situation. One morning, we turned on the tap only to find rusty brown water coming out. It took a good 3 to 5 minutes of running the faucet before the water cleared. When we called the front desk, they attributed it to the ongoing construction. Still—ewww. That’s not something you expect at a major hotel chain. In short, I’d recommend holding off on booking here until renovations are fully complete. The location is excellent, but the current conditions fall short of Marriott standards.

Jun 16, 2025 · Tehmina CheemaYes, this place needs an update (which they’re working on) but I have NEVER had a better hotel experience thanks to the service of the staff. Everyone was incredibly nice, and did everything they could to make our stay great. I ended up on a red eye flight and got in at 5:30am, and my check in wasn’t til 4pm. They got me checked in by 6am, and I was able to take a nap before my convention. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was so nice about bag check (and gave me a Mother’s Day rose!) I asked if there was a quiet place I could do some work and they found me a nice, quiet spot to work for a few hours before the airport. The location was great, and the staff was seriously just the absolute best.
May 12, 2025 · Heather ColeMy family stayed here over the weekend for baseball games and did not experience any of the mentioned things in some of the negative reviews. We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful and our room was clean. AC worked great and we slept good.
Jun 15, 2025 · Joey MartinThe hotel is not bad good food and the service was nice…..HOWEVER, This hotel is in the most ghetto part of Baltimore I have ever been. My car was broken into IN THE PARKING GARAGE in which they charge $35 a night on top of your hotel stay. Nice hotel in the middle of the ghetto. People sleeping right on the sidewalk, pan handlers begging for money. If you stay here I would bring protection for yourself. You would think being the marriot it would have been more secure!!!!
Jun 14, 2025 · Joey WaltersOverall not a bad place to stay, especially given its proximity to the conference center and harbor. There were definitely some issues going on internally though. I was with a large group so we had multiple rooms and several peoples key cards just quit working throughout the week (incredibly annoying). Also one group checked out a day early and they somehow checked out the wrong room, which could’ve definitely been problematic for the people staying longer and the cleaning crew. The rooms were nice and the service was good and friendly, but this one certainly could you some technological updates. Edit to add: One group also had to stay in a room with a leaky air conditioning :/
