Upon arrival we were advised of a $55 valet fee and advised there were so self parking options at the hotel. This was disappointing as this wasn't mentioned when we booked our stay. We chose this hotel as we have stayed in several other Hyatts in other states and always had a great experience. Upon check-in we were advised they did not have any king rooms available (what we booked) and no ETA on them so they would upgrade us to a queen suite. As soon as we entered the room we noticed several areas that were either not clean or not working, but the biggest issue for us was that the blinds would not lower. They are on a power switch and none of the switches would work. I immediately went back to the front desk and asked to just have a king standard room like what we booked (and honestly preferred this over the queen suite). I was asked did we use the facilities already in the room and I stated that I had quickly used the restroom as we just came off a 3 hour drive... this seemed to irritate the attendant and I was then advised again that there was no ETA on the room we bookee (even though it was 3:45 and check in was at 4) and there were no other queen suites for us to swap to (though she offered a queen suite upgrade to the very next person checking in). I let the attendant know our blinds did not work and she said she would have maintenance fix it... they never once showed up. Being on the 2nd floor and unable to lower your blinds was an absolute invasion of privacy for us as you could see into the windows pretty easily. It was Mothers Day and I had looked forward to this for months and I am extremely disappointed and felt very uncomfortable. I did email the GM and he offered to refund the parking fee... but that was it. While I do appreciate the gesture, it doesn't make up for all the issues we experienced and ruining what should have been a fun & relaxing night for Mothers Day.

The "Borrows program" for forgotten items is another thoughtful touch, aiming to enhance guest comfort.
Promotional Information and Important Considerations:
While Hyatt House Atlanta/Downtown offers a wealth of amenities and a prime location, it's important for potential guests to be aware of certain aspects, particularly regarding parking and specific room accommodations, as highlighted in customer reviews.
The hotel primarily offers valet parking, which comes with a fee, typically around $55 per night with in/out privileges. There are generally no self-parking options directly at the hotel. Guests booking their stay should factor this cost into their budget. Recent customer feedback indicates that this valet fee was not always clearly communicated at the time of booking, leading to some disappointment upon arrival. It is advisable to confirm current parking policies and fees directly with the hotel when making a reservation.
Regarding room types, while the hotel strives to provide the booked accommodations, there have been instances where specific room types (e.g., King rooms) were unavailable upon check-in, leading to upgrades to different suite types (e.g., Queen suites). Guests have reported issues with room maintenance, such as non-functioning blinds or cleanliness concerns. It's recommended that guests thoroughly inspect their rooms upon check-in and immediately report any issues to the front desk. While staff aims to assist, the effectiveness of maintenance and resolution of issues can vary. Communication regarding room availability and potential check-out extensions has also been a point of concern for some guests, with discrepancies between what was agreed upon during booking and what was available at check-out. It is highly recommended to get any special accommodations, such as extended check-out times or specific room requests, in writing to avoid misunderstandings.
For those looking for deals, Hyatt House Atlanta/Downtown participates in World of Hyatt member rates, which offer discounts off the standard rate for members booking directly through hyatt.com. Additionally, the World of Hyatt program frequently has promotions such as bonus point offers or savings for longer stays. Guests are encouraged to check the official Hyatt website for current offers and to join the World of Hyatt loyalty program for exclusive benefits.
In summary, Hyatt House Atlanta/Downtown presents itself as a sophisticated and well-located option for travelers seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in downtown Atlanta. Its apartment-style suites with kitchens and proximity to major attractions make it particularly appealing. However, potential guests should be mindful of the valet-only parking situation and are encouraged to proactively communicate and confirm all booking details and special requests with the hotel to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

May 13, 2025 · Leanne PatrickMy wife and I were traveling from Texas through Georgia on business and made reservations from Saturday 3p til Sunday at 6p in advance to book a hotel for the weekend. We spoke to the service desk employee name Kimberly. We express to her we were aware that check would be at 12p. But we will need to stay until 6p because we were having conference meetings and we leave out at 6p. Before we decide to book we need to know if they can extend it before we book. Kim agreed so we book. She stated that she will put it in the note .After booking we found out that we were charged for a single bed in the price for a suite. We were lie too about the discount for the room. We called back and she told us she sorry that she booked us the wrong room. Then told us we had to pay an extra $27 for upgrade. Then upon checking out that Sunday we were told by said manager name Ann Marie that we can’t wait til 6p to checkout and that Kimberly did not notate it. And that Kimberly cannot make those decision. How is this our responsibility that the clerk at the desk that took our reservation lied about the accommodation. Ann Marie called her manager GM Martin and he stated to her that we had to leave and they were not going to make that accommodation for us to stay. I ask to speak to him and Ann Marie said he’s off today. This really inconvenience us and after a long conversation. Ann Marie said she couldn’t talk to ask Kimberly and Martin because they were off. They obviously have issues with integrity here. Had they told us they had to over charge our room and not follow through on the agreement to accommodate our checkout time, we could have had the opportunity to go with another hotel that could agree to the checkout time and understand how important it is to give us the rooms we paying for. If you decide to reserve offline.. be sure to look up the square footage of the room online and verify after purchase and any accommodations needed get in writing. Never trust anyone word there about pretty much anything. We will not be coming back here

Apr 01, 2025 · Kevin PatelI must say this hotel has been the best place to stay downtown.. Ot has been nothing but Exceptional service from the front desk staff! Charrell was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. They made check-in a breeze, answered all our questions with a smile, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It really set the tone for a great experience. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality!
Apr 06, 2025 · Evelyn SimonThe hotel is ok. The rooms are nice and spacious. The breakfast was horrible. Which was shocking. Normally, Hyatt House breakfast isn’t that bad. There was never an opportunity to use the pool. It was packed with kids every minute of the day until it closed. Cherrell was awesome at check-in but that’s about the only thing going at this hotel.
