Pretty good when considering the price. The rooms are spacious but outdated. The lobby and front desk is exceptional. Breakfast is extremely limited, down to the basics, and only available until 9am during the week. Shower is not the cleanest. Wifi is free and very good. Gym is good. Great location and ample parking with strong parking lot lights. Overall, for a budget option this is pretty good

Despite any older decor, the rooms are generally considered "spacious" and "comfortable," with features like plush beds and "Cozy Corners" with sleeper sofas, designed for relaxation.
Each room is typically equipped with a 42-inch flat-screen HDTV with premium satellite channels, an MP3 docking station, a mini-refrigerator, and a coffee/tea maker. Hyatt Place Atlanta/Duluth/Johns Creek offers a range of services and features that enhance the guest experience. A key highlight is the complimentary breakfast, often referred to as "The Breakfast Bar." This offering includes a variety of choices such as fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs, hash browns, and waffles. However, one review noted that the breakfast is "extremely limited, down to the basics, and only available until 9am during the week." This suggests that while free breakfast is provided, guests should manage expectations regarding variety and weekday hours.
For dining beyond breakfast, "The Placery" at the lobby bar offers a menu of American cuisine, including light fare, and a selection of premium alcoholic beverages. There's also a 24-hour "Market" for grab-and-go snacks and beverages.

Additional services include a 24-hour front desk, express check-in and check-out, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a business center. Free self-parking is available on site. The hotel is also pet-friendly, allowing a maximum of two dogs per room (up to 50 pounds individually, or a combined weight of 75 pounds for two dogs) for a non-refundable fee. Fees vary based on the length of stay (e.g., $100 for 1-6 nights, $200 for 7-30 nights plus an additional cleaning fee).
Hyatt Place Atlanta/Duluth/Johns Creek is promoted as a comfortable and convenient choice for travelers in the area. Its location, proximity to the Technology Park, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, and various local attractions like St. Ives Country Club, makes it appealing for both corporate and leisure stays. The "Hotels Near Of Me" search category aligns well with the hotel's offering of essential amenities, a reputable brand name, and a focus on guest comfort.
Guest reviews for this hotel are notably mixed but often highly positive when it comes to customer service. While some feedback points to "outdated" rooms or a "not the cleanest" shower, and "extremely limited" breakfast, the praise for the staff is consistently outstanding. One detailed review vividly describes an "exceptional" and "warm" experience, highlighting a complimentary room upgrade, personal greetings from the assistant manager and manager, and even goodbye hugs. This level of "genuine hospitality" is emphasized as making the stay "memorable" and exceeding expectations. Phrases like "felt genuinely welcomed and celebrated" and "hosted by friends" underscore the positive impact of the staff.
This dichotomy suggests that while the physical infrastructure might show some age, the hotel strongly compensates through its human element. For a "budget option," as one review put it, the strong emphasis on personalized and friendly service clearly sets it apart for many guests, making it a solid choice despite some of the physical drawbacks. The combination of a good location, standard Hyatt Place amenities, and exceptional customer interactions contributes to its overall appeal for many visitors to Johns Creek.

Apr 12, 2025 · Defunct naMy partner and I stayed at Hyatt Place Atlanta/Duluth/Johns Creek to celebrate our anniversary, and we are so grateful for the experience your team gave us. I called a couple days ahead to ask if they did anything special/complimentary for anniversaries. I was directed to the sales manager who was very kind and personable, and said that while they don't offer anything as a standard, she would be happy to do something for us. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed and celebrated. Without any request from us, we were upgraded to a beautifully renovated corner room that felt both luxurious and private — and the location couldn’t have been more perfect with the rain that weekend. Being so close to the door made our comings and goings easy and stress-free. The assistant manager at the front desk greeted us with such kindness. Without even referencing the special notes on our booking, she asked if we were celebrating anything. She then offered us a drink or snack, and told us that we would be staying in their best room. It felt so thoughtful and personal. Then the manager came over to personally introduce himself and help us select our drink, and even gave us his card, wishing us the happiest of stays. It truly made us feel like we were being hosted by friends. What really moved us was how they came to say goodbye when we were leaving. The manager even brought out the sales manager I spoke to when booking — and we got goodbye hugs! I’ve never experienced that level of warmth and genuine hospitality at any hotel before. Thank you for making our anniversary so memorable. You didn’t just give us a room — you gave us a beautiful experience. We’ll absolutely be back. With heartfelt gratitude, Moriah & Ryan
May 14, 2025 · Moriah AllisonI moved in last October due to my home being unavailable as it was being repaired for flood damage. My son, dog and I stayed for 6 months at this Hyatt location. The stay was as fantastic as it could be considering the circumstances. Everyone was nice and kind. Im very thankful to the entire staff- management, front desk and house keeping. May God bless each and every one of them. Highly recommend.
Apr 05, 2025 · Sarah MvulaUpon entering the hotel, we were overwhelmed by the strong smell of marijuana throughout the property. It was especially unbearable in the hallways and near the elevators. When we complained to the front desk, the employee acknowledged the issue but made no effort to address it. Adding to the security concerns, we noticed used condoms in the parking lot—a clear indication that this hotel does not maintain or monitor its premises properly. Room Conditions - Filthy & Poorly Maintained When we entered our room, we were shocked by the unacceptable conditions: • The bedding was old, tattered, and literally falling apart. * No shower curtain was installed, making it impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. * Only two pillows were provided, and when we requested additional pillows, both housekeeping and the front desk told us, "We don't have any. * Since we couldn't sleep comfortably, we had no choice but to go to HomeGoods and purchase two pillows, pillow covers, and pillowcases-an outrageous inconvenience for any paying guest. * Unbearable Environment & Lack of Response from Management After returning to our room, the marijuana smoke and odor had become even stronger, making it impossible to breathe comfortably. At 1:30 AM, I contacted Hyatt Corporate, and they opened an investigation. However, the property owner failed to respond to Hyatt's inquiries, further proving their complete disregard for guest concerns. Health Hazards & Unsanitary Conditions The next morning, we went to breakfast, only to be met with raw sausage sitting on the buffet—a serious health hazard that should never be allowed at any hotel, let alone one operating under the Hyatt brand. Overall Experience - Absolutely Horrendous The franchise property is owned by, The Patel Family and they seem to have zero regard for guest safety, cleanliness, or professional hospitality. We could not complete our stay due to the growing list of unacceptable issues, including: • Illegal drugs on the property * Unbearable smoke and odors * Dirty, unmaintained rooms * Lack of basic amenities like pillows and shower curtains * Used condoms in the parking lot * Unsafe and unsanitary food To make matters worse, the hotel has completely ignored our complaints. Neither the property nor its owners have issued any response-not to us, not to Hyatt Corporate. This is the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Do not stay here. It is unsate, poorly managed, and fails in every possible way. Hyatt should seriously reconsider allowing this property to operate under its brand.
Apr 02, 2025 · Alyson SavinoStay was excellent with nice cozy rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast was OK, but can’t complain since it was free and included. We’d definitely recommend for a future people looking to stay
