BRING LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!!!! At current, this place has a warning posted about contaminated drinking water..... which was NOT mentioned at the time of booking or check-in. Nor was there fresh clean water available to drink or cook with in the unit. We stayed in the one bedroom. The price we paid for this place was AMAZING!! Exceptional value for what you get!! It is located just minutes from Killington and Pico Ski Areas in an easily accessible spot that has a light at Killington Road. Beautiful, well-kept grounds. Lots of well lit parking. It was pretty quiet for the most part, but we were there off-season. The unit was very clean except for the dishes, utensils, and pans. Unfortunately, that is almost a guarantee these days when renting places with kitchens. The fireplace is a nice, cozy touch. Very roomy place and adequately furnished. Plenty of towels and dishes. Lots of couch, counter, and table space. TVs were great! The" king size" bed in the master was very comfortable. But keeping the two mattresses together and trying not to fall in between them was ridiculous. The shower head in the master was completely clogged when we got there. Had to get maintenance to come change it out. Which they did the same day! Water leak issues with showers and the kitchen sink. Hopefully, they get addressed soon. It's damaging the beautiful remodel job. Good thing the unit was stocked with plenty of towels!!!! Having a washer and dryer in the unit is always an added appreciated bonus!! They had a recycling bin in the unit which was exciting, but they don't actually recycle on the property.....Bummer. Cute little patio with an electric BBQ, table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors if it's warm enough. The only thing this place needs is a coat rack! It always baffles me that most places in ski towns don't have anywhere to hang all your wet winter gear! They did have a rack in the main hallway entrance though, for skis/boards. I really loved this place it was as close to home as you could hope for. Would stay again.
For those searching on platforms like "Hotels Near Of Me" for a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of Vermont's ski country, Killington Center Condos presents an enticing option. Located at 60 Killington Ctr Dr, Killington, VT 05751, USA, with a contact number of (802) 736-7467 or mobile +1 802-736-7467, this establishment offers more than just a room; it provides an apartment-style experience, making it a true home away from home.
Environment: Proximity to the Slopes and Serene Surroundings
One of the most significant advantages of Killington Center Condos is its prime location. Guests consistently highlight its proximity to the renowned Killington and Pico Ski Areas, stating it's "just minutes" away. This makes it an ideal base for ski and snowboard enthusiasts looking to maximize their time on the slopes. The access to the main road, Killington Road, is made easy by a convenient traffic light, ensuring smooth arrivals and departures.
Beyond its strategic location for winter sports, the grounds themselves are described as "beautiful, well-kept." This suggests a pleasant and visually appealing environment, contributing to a relaxing stay. The property also boasts "lots of well lit parking," which is a practical benefit, especially during peak seasons or late-night arrivals. While some guests have visited during the off-season and found it "pretty quiet," the overall impression is one of a generally tranquil setting, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of activities.
Services and Amenities: The Comforts of Home and More
Killington Center Condos truly shines in its offering of apartment-like accommodations, catering to those who appreciate self-sufficiency and extra space. The units are described as "very roomy place and adequately furnished," providing ample space for relaxation and daily living. A key feature is the "full kitchen with dining area," which includes "plenty of dishes, utensils, and pans." This allows guests to prepare their own meals, offering flexibility and potentially significant cost savings compared to dining out for every meal. However, it's worth noting a common observation that guests should be prepared to wash dishes upon arrival, as this is a frequent occurrence in rental properties with kitchens.
The living areas are well-equipped with "lots of couch, counter, and table space," perfect for families or groups. "TVs were great," ensuring entertainment options. A particularly appreciated amenity is the "fireplace," adding a "nice, cozy touch" that enhances the ambiance, especially during colder months. The master bedroom often features a "king size bed" described as "very comfortable," though some units might have two mattresses pushed together, which can be an inconvenience for some guests.
Perhaps one of the most highly valued services is the inclusion of a "washer and dryer in the unit." This is consistently cited as an "added appreciated bonus," allowing guests to clean their clothes and gear, particularly useful after snowy days on the mountain. "Plenty of towels" are also provided, which comes in handy, especially given some noted minor issues with water leaks in showers and sinks, which the property is hopefully addressing promptly.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, a "cute little patio with an electric BBQ, table and chairs" offers a pleasant space to relax and dine al fresco when the weather permits.
Features: Unique Selling Points and Areas for Improvement
The "exceptional value for what you get" is a recurring theme in guest feedback, making Killington Center Condos a highly attractive option for budget-conscious travelers seeking quality accommodations. The "room setup was great - it was like a small apartment," with separate bedrooms and bathrooms, offering privacy and convenience. Some units include a "separate bedroom with laundry and it's own bathroom," further enhancing the apartment-style living.
While the condos offer many desirable features, some areas for improvement have been noted. A significant concern raised by recent guests is a "warning posted about contaminated drinking water," which was reportedly not communicated at the time of booking or check-in. Furthermore, "fresh clean water available to drink or cook with in the unit" was not provided. This is a critical point that potential guests should inquire about directly with the management prior to their stay. It is strongly advised to "BRING LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!!!!".
Maintenance issues have also been observed, such as a "completely clogged" shower head in the master bathroom, a "broken towel rack," and "water leak issues with showers and the kitchen sink." While maintenance staff are responsive, addressing these issues promptly is crucial for guest satisfaction and to prevent further damage to the "beautiful remodel job."
A minor but practical suggestion from guests is the need for a "coat rack" to hang wet winter gear, as despite being in a ski town, this essential item is often overlooked. However, a rack for skis/boards is available in the main hallway entrance.
The property also has a recycling bin in the unit, which is a positive initiative, although guests have noted that recycling is not actually done on the property, which is a "Bummer."
Promotional Information: Why Choose Killington Center Condos?
Despite some minor drawbacks, the overwhelming sentiment from guests is positive, with many expressing a desire to "stay again." The "amazing" price point combined with the spacious, well-equipped units makes it a compelling choice on "Hotels Near Of Me" for families, groups, or extended stays. The convenience of a full kitchen and in-unit laundry significantly enhances the overall value and comfort of the experience. Its prime location, just moments from world-class skiing, makes it an excellent base for winter adventures. Dec 06, 2023 · THE BREEZEThis was pretty nice. The room setup was great - it was like a small apartment. 1 separate bedroom with laundry and it's own bathroom, 1 bed and a couch in the living area. Main bathroom had amazing shower, but unfortunately it flooded the bathroom because the drain must have been clogged. One of the towel racks was broken and laying on the floor when we checked in also. Had a full kitchen with dining are also. Overall pretty nice but needed some maintenance.
Jul 23, 2023 · Vanessa WardOver all the please was very nice and well kept, however there were some minor things in our particular room that were irritating such as toilet with inability to flush properly, The shower head was not fully functional and the remote controls were left by the previous patrons with no batteries and were not replaced. These are minor things and obviously not the same in every room and that is why I can still give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Oct 15, 2018 · Wayne Martin IIIUpon arriving at our room, we found an icy dark parking lot. After driving for over 4 hours, we then had to call the main office to figure out how we were supposed to get into our room. It turns out that the office is about 3 miles away and nobody had the courtesy to let us know. Once we finally found the main office in a confusing maze of buildings the receptionist told us to call her if we were not satisfied with our room... we were advertised and sold a deluxe suite which was supposed to contain a king size bed, a fire place, a large flat screen tv, a rainfall shower, and much more. When we walked in our room it was honestly a joke. The only thing updated was the kitchen, past that was just filth. The carpet appeared as if it hadn’t been vacuumed and felt damp. The wallpaper was peeling in spots and had water stains. The bed was not a king, and next to the bed was the “heating unit” stuck in the wall with exposed copper pipes. The bathroom wasn’t even fit to wash my dog in. No rainfall shower, just a a yellowed tub. No fireplace in sight. The tv was older than me and hard to see it was so small. Even the paintings on the wall were horrifying. It was a dark ominous room. When I called the receptionist she told me to deal with Expedia to try and resolve this which in turn left us without a place to stay when we were supposed to be having a great vacation. I would rather have slept in the car than pay premium pricing for motel 6 quality. Eventually Expedia found us a much nicer room elsewhere for 1/3 the price. Thanks.
Feb 25, 2018 · Anton SWell, based on my experience, I'm an employee and I've stayed here and there, we're clean, we educate, we try to help as best we can, and you can come and stay here, it's cozy, you'll feel at home, and I heard nature is good for relaxing and having a good time.
