For local users searching within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Knights Inn Pittston presents itself as a budget-friendly accommodation option. Located at 310 PA-315, Pittston, PA 18640, USA, it offers a convenient stopping point for travelers. The hotel can be reached via phone at (570) 654-6020 or +1 570-654-6020. As a hotel within this category, its primary service offering is providing basic lodging for individuals or groups seeking affordable stays. It is important to note that the information available, including customer reviews, paints a mixed picture, providing a basis for an objective introduction of its environment, services, and features.
The Knights Inn Pittston is strategically located on PA-315, a state highway, which indicates its primary appeal for travelers on the road. This location offers easy access to major transportation routes, making it a functional choice for those passing through the Pittston area. Being situated on a highway, the surrounding environment is characteristic of roadside motels, often featuring other commercial establishments like gas stations or fast-food restaurants. While convenient for vehicular access, this type of location often comes with a certain level of ambient noise, as noted by a guest who experienced "noise from the highway." This suggests that the environment is functional for quick stays but may not offer the tranquility of a more secluded or residential setting. The immediate surroundings are likely utilitarian, focused on serving the needs of travelers, rather than providing picturesque views or extensive recreational options within walking distance. For individuals prioritizing direct highway access and ease of navigation, this location would be a key advantage. Pittston itself is part of the larger Wilkes-Barre/Scranton metropolitan area, offering proximity to various regional attractions and business centers, although the hotel's immediate environment is dictated by its highway frontage.
As a Knights Inn property, the hotel typically offers fundamental services aimed at budget-conscious travelers. These generally include basic lodging, a front desk for check-in and check-out, and potentially limited common amenities. Guest feedback indicates that the staff are generally "polite," which suggests a level of courteous interaction for standard requests. While specific amenities are not extensively detailed, basic room provisions such as beds, a television (as indicated by noise from a neighboring TV), and essential utilities would be expected. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the quality and cleanliness of the accommodations. One severe complaint directly mentions "bed bugs in the room" and a subsequent denial from the hotel despite photographic proof, which is a critical service failure. Another review highlights issues with noise from neighboring rooms, even after contacting the office, suggesting that noise control policies or enforcement might be inconsistent. This feedback on noise indicates that while the hotel staff may attempt to address issues, their effectiveness in resolving them might vary. The decorum of the place is described as "abysmal" by one guest, which could refer to the general upkeep and aesthetic of the property. The denial of a refund when issues arose further reflects a problematic aspect of their customer service or refund policy. While the objective is to provide a place to sleep, these reviews suggest that the actual service delivery and quality of the stay may fall short of basic expectations in certain instances. Amenities like a quiet policy were mentioned by a guest, implying that such policies may exist but their enforcement is not guaranteed.
The Knights Inn Pittston is characterized by its positioning as an economical lodging choice. Its most evident feature is its accessibility from PA-315, making it a convenient stopover point for road travelers. The rooms are generally described as "ok, nothing special," which suggests a basic, no-frills accommodation experience. However, the guest experiences reveal significant negative features and challenges. The most alarming feature reported is the presence of "bed bugs," which constitutes a severe health and comfort concern and a critical failure in hygiene. The hotel's response to this claim, denying the issue even with photographic evidence, is a highly negative feature of their customer service and problem resolution process. This denial also extended to a refund request, indicating a lack of responsiveness to serious guest complaints. Another prominent feature is the issue of noise, both from adjacent rooms and from the highway. While earplugs can mitigate highway noise, internal noise from other guests, even after reporting, suggests that soundproofing or active monitoring of guest behavior might be lacking. This directly impacts the comfort and rest quality of the stay. The "decorum" being "abysmal" points to a general state of disrepair or neglect in the property's appearance and maintenance. For guests looking for a simple, quick overnight stay, the "ok" rooms might suffice if these other significant issues are not encountered. However, the severe issues raised by guests, particularly concerning bed bugs and customer service in handling such critical complaints, overshadow any potential positive features of a budget-friendly option.
Given the nature of the reviews, any promotional information for Knights Inn Pittston would likely focus on its affordability and convenient location on PA-315. For local users searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with a primary focus on cost-effectiveness and easy access, these would be the main selling points. The hotel might target travelers on a tight budget, truckers, or those needing a quick overnight stop without seeking extensive amenities or a luxurious experience. However, potential guests should be highly cautious and consider the very serious issues raised in the customer reviews. The claims of "bed bugs" and the hotel's alleged dismissive response to such complaints are critical factors that cannot be overlooked. While promotional material might highlight low prices, these savings could come at the cost of significant discomfort or even health risks. It is advisable for anyone considering this hotel to read the most recent reviews carefully and perhaps consider alternatives in the area, even if they are slightly more expensive, to ensure a comfortable and safe stay. Guests prioritizing basic cleanliness, a quiet environment, and responsive customer service for issues like pest control or noise should proceed with extreme caution or explore other options. The hotel's value proposition of affordability is severely undermined by the reported issues regarding hygiene and customer service in addressing critical problems. Therefore, while it may appear in "Hotels Near Of Me" searches as a budget option, a thorough understanding of the documented guest experiences is essential for making an informed decision.

Mar 16, 2025 · Joshua MaletaStayed one night while I was in the area. The two rooms beside me were very noisy. I called the office to ask if they had a quiet policy. They said they would take care of it. I don't know if they did or not, but after two hours it did quiet down. Woke up around 1:00 AM and could her the TV on in the next room; thankfully I travel with ear plugs. Plus there was some noise from the highway. The room was ok, nothing special. The staff were polite.

Mar 11, 2025 · Ryan ORourkeThis is definitely a lower end hotel. Looks like a lot of live in situations rather than a hotel. The rooms are definitely outdated and smells musty. The chain lock on the door has obviously been broken into several times as the screws are coming out of door and will easily come off anytime.
Aug 23, 2024 · Toni BradleyOverall, it was a good experience. First, the good. From the reviews, it seems that this complex is fairly outdated. However, upon showing up, I noticed a lot of construction going on. It appears that the complex is renovating its rooms. Upon entering my room, it was clean and smelled nice. The bathroom counters look renovated, with a nice mirror. It looks like it has new shower heads, and spigots. The beds were decently comfortable, and all of the pillows were small, piling them on did the trick. The only reservation I have, deals with the quality of the renovations. It appears they are in a hurry to get the rooms renovated and are missing important details. For example the shower coupler to the wall wasn't connected. The shower controllers were not flush or connected to the back wall and release. Those are small issues, but useful for a good experience. The more important issue was the bath spigots. It turns out I couldn't get hot water until I realized that whoever installed them, did it backwards. The cold selector actually kicks out hot water and the hot selector kicks at cold water. I was about to call management and ask why the hot water wasn't working when I realized the problem. That is the type of issue that comes up when renovations are hurried. So if you could fix that on room 227, that would be appreciated. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The asphalt around the complex is in dire need of repair, and I hope that is included in future renovations. Note, although this was a decent and comfortable stay, the neighborhood is not the best, and several of my next door neighbors seem to be long-standing residents that were not keeping up their place well. Not a place for a romantic getaway, but just fine for a quick business trip. Especially considering the low cost.
