HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Checked in while Jackie was at the front desk, within 30 minutes of her running my card it was compromised and I had over 7 fraud charges and my card got shut off! When asked her about their system being compromised she got defensive and became very rude and refused look into it though she was the only one to touch my card all day. There was no manager there then or the next day so I had to wait to speak with him on the phone the next morning. Spoke to Kevin the manager the next day he said basically it was my problem not theirs though my card was not used any where else previously. They didn’t believe their system was compromised though it happened at their location. This was beyond stressful and a horrible situation they refused to take responsibility for. The breakfast was just as bad, all food was stale (English muffins, bagels and danish) and old. The apple juice and lemonade were mixed and had a gross tasted. This was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced and would never recommend this place to anyone who values their money, security and peace of mind!

To provide an objective introduction, it is crucial to incorporate customer feedback. Recent reviews for the Best Western Plus Wilkes Barre-Scranton Airport Hotel highlight significant concerns that potential guests should be aware of. One highly negative experience describes a critical issue with credit card security, where a guest's card was compromised with fraudulent charges immediately after check-in. The guest reported a defensive and unhelpful response from the front desk staff, and a lack of accountability from management, who reportedly dismissed the issue as the guest's problem despite the timing of the compromise. This raises serious questions about data security protocols and customer service in handling such sensitive matters. Furthermore, the same review criticizes the complimentary breakfast, describing food items like English muffins, bagels, and danish as stale and old, and juices as having a "gross taste."
Another review corroborates some of these points, noting that while common areas were very clean, the room carpet had a "bit of a smell," and windows had "broken seals and a bit of surface mold." This review also expressed significant disappointment with the breakfast, describing it as "bare bones," lacking variety (e.g., no bananas), with limited fruit, and "rubbery" eggs. While the staff was described as cordial, they were not noted as particularly pleasant or friendly.
These reviews indicate that while the physical cleanliness of common areas might be maintained, there are serious and recurring issues with staff professionalism, particularly in resolving guest problems, and the quality of the breakfast offering. The reported credit card compromise is a significant red flag for security-conscious travelers. Potential guests searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" should consider these recent negative experiences carefully, especially if data security, a good breakfast experience, and responsive customer service are high priorities for their stay. It would be advisable for guests to monitor their financial accounts closely after a stay and to manage expectations regarding breakfast quality. It's also paramount that the hotel addresses these critical issues to ensure a safe and pleasant stay for future guests.

Apr 10, 2025 · Jenn SpicherLet’s do positive first - very clean in the common areas. Room was clean but carpet smelled a bit. Windows all had broken seals and a bit of surface mold. Very very disappointed with breakfast. Bare bones, not a banana in sight, limited fruit, eggs looked rubbery. Staff was cordial but I would be hard pressed to say pleasant or friendly.
Jan 28, 2025 · Canadian BaconJackie and Joe turned our unpleasant airline experience into a great one. Jackie handled our incorrect vouchers for us and even had Joe go pick them up. The rooms were so clean and comfy. Definitely recommend this hotel when you have to fly out of Scranton, or have an unexpected mishap with air travel.
Jan 07, 2025 · Constance BlanchardNot the best western. we stayed the night of Feb 15. room 322. no hot water. they maintenance up and he took the shower head off and the water was hot. he left and we had breakfast. the room still had no hot water. we had to leave without taking a shower. the maintenance guy also said it's because we had a room at the end of the hallway. they should say this when you're being assigned a room. won't be returning
Feb 17, 2025 · Eddie RolonModern clean hotel right next to the airport. Free breakfast is included! Staff was friendly and helpful! This hotel had everything I asked for minus a few things- no room service, no pool, and the bed was not very comfortable. Also they do have a little grab and go convenience-store type area next to the front desk, but any halfway decent food options are 10 mins up the road which is a bit of a let down. Hopefully in the future there will be more restaurants built closer to the hotel. Overall enjoyed the visit and will definitely return!
