Hello I am an abused woman who left my abuser and come to the media inn because I didn't want to put my family and friends in any danger. My family and churches helped me stay there until I was able to get into a shelter. So today my rent was late and he put me out 12/31/24. So I'm sitting out here like a sitting duck. They never cleaned my room never gave me fresh towels or sheets the two weeks I was there. I even cleaned my own room rain came through the window and the floor is sinking in I stayed there so that I wouldn't have to return to him and they were paid between 1200 and 1400 dollars for my stay
For those searching under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the Media Inn & Suites, located at 512 E Franklin St, Media, PA 19063, USA, offers a budget-friendly accommodation option in the charming borough of Media, Pennsylvania. Identified as a 2.5-star motel, it primarily caters to travelers seeking a simple, no-frills stay with essential amenities, often at a more economical price point compared to larger hotel chains in the area. It is important for prospective guests to consider the overall offerings and recent guest feedback to set appropriate expectations for their stay.
Media Inn & Suites is situated on E Franklin Street, providing guests with convenient access to the heart of Media. Media, often called "Everybody's Hometown," is a lively borough known for its walkable downtown, historic charm, and a wide array of local businesses. From the Inn, guests can likely reach Media's bustling State Street, with its diverse selection of restaurants, cafes, unique shops, and the renowned Media Theatre, within a short drive or a moderate walk. This allows guests to immerse themselves in the local culture, dine out, and enjoy the town's vibrant community events and festivals, such as the popular Media Food Festival and Media Arts Festival.
The hotel's location is also advantageous for connectivity. It is positioned near a train station, offering easy access to SEPTA regional rail and bus lines, which facilitate travel to Philadelphia and surrounding areas. For those arriving by air, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is approximately a 14-minute drive away. While the immediate vicinity of the Inn on E Franklin Street may be more functional as opposed to scenic, its proximity to downtown Media ensures that guests are never far from the town's main attractions and conveniences.
The property itself appears to be a multi-story motel with exterior corridors, a common layout for this type of accommodation. While detailed information on the aesthetic of the common areas is limited, the focus is typically on practicality and access to rooms. Free self-parking is available on-site, a significant benefit for guests traveling by car. There are also designated smoking areas on the property for those who require them.
Media Inn & Suites aims to provide fundamental services and amenities for a comfortable, albeit basic, stay. Key offerings include:
It's important to note that housekeeping services are generally provided daily for standard stays, however, one review mentioned a lack of cleaning service for an extended two-week stay. This suggests that guests planning extended stays might need to clarify housekeeping frequency directly with the hotel. Pets are generally not allowed, with the exception of service animals.
The primary feature of Media Inn & Suites is its value proposition as a budget-friendly option in Media. It offers basic necessities without the extensive frills of higher-end hotels, making it suitable for travelers who prioritize affordability and location over luxury amenities. The inclusion of microwaves and refrigerators in rooms is a significant advantage for those looking to save money on dining out or who have specific dietary needs.
Its location near a train station and close proximity to downtown Media are also key selling points, allowing guests to easily access the town's offerings and transportation links. For short, practical stays or for individuals needing a temporary base in the area, the Media Inn & Suites provides a functional lodging solution.
However, it is crucial to address the customer reviews. While one review describes the property as "pretty cool quiet and layed back," indicating a generally calm environment, another detailed account from an "abused woman" highlights significant issues. This review mentions that the room was "never cleaned" and lacked fresh towels or sheets for two weeks, experienced rain coming through the window, and had a "sinking" floor. This particular feedback points to potential inconsistencies in maintenance and guest service, and raises concerns about the property's condition and responsiveness, especially for vulnerable guests. While individual experiences can vary, such detailed accounts are important for prospective guests to consider when evaluating their options. It suggests that while the inn provides basic amenities, the quality of maintenance and consistency of service might not always meet standard expectations for cleanliness and comfort, particularly for longer durations.
Promotional efforts for Media Inn & Suites would likely emphasize its affordability and strategic location in Media. It would target:
Given the feedback, any promotional material should subtly manage expectations regarding luxury or comprehensive services, focusing instead on the practical value. The hotel's phone numbers, (610) 566-6480 and +1 610-566-6480, are available for direct inquiries and bookings, allowing guests to confirm current rates, availability, and specific room features. While the low price point can be a significant draw, prospective guests are advised to directly inquire about recent renovations or ongoing maintenance efforts, especially if planning a longer stay or if cleanliness is a paramount concern.

Jan 18, 2025 · Skateboard MikeProblems at the hotel: First Morning the Hotel Manager ask me if Housekeeping was treating me well, my response to him-“I have not seen Housekeeping). I notice that evening that they did not sweep up the bathroom floor. I also notice a body hairs on the bathtub edge. I continue to notice it was there for a couple of days. (They have not clean the bathtub.) I continue to notice that the room rug has not be vacuum while I was there, there was trash under the desk that was never clean up also. The morning of the third day, when I was cleaning up. I grab one of the wash cloth to wash my face, it was dirty black, stain with orange spots also. On the third day, when I return to my room, I notice the glass top on the desk was never clean, and the trash was still on the floor. I then call down for the Hotel Manger to come to my room, I show him that nothing has been clean. I also complain to him about what happen in the morning with the wash cloth. His excuse was that he fire the old people. Also stated, that he took over the hotel on May 8. I told him that was not my problem. On the same day, that evening I was washing up to go out to dinner. I grab a towel to dry my face and the towel was filled with hole and shredded. I was very angry and went down stairs to look for him. I gave him the towel and told him that should never been place in my room. I also told him I want some money back for all my troubles. He stated he had to speak to someone. That never happen. Also, during my week there-the front desk never had anyone there. Anyone call walk in to the hotel, there was a lot of vagrants hanging around the hotel. I felt very unsafe while I was staying there. Also the electrical outlet either don't work or don't hold on to the plugs, very unsafe. Stay away from this place Instead of an apology, you should of answer my request for compensation for all the trouble you put me through. This is terrible place, and everyone needs to stay away from your hotel.
May 29, 2019 · Robert CostanzoDisgusting. Absolutely gross and unclean. Cigarette burns all over the bed and headboard. Sink coming off wall. Hairs in the bed and sheets. Urine on extra blanket in closet. White stains in the carpet. Outlets didn’t work. No hot water. My photos speak for themselves. This place will fight you on any kind of refund. They have rooms like this then they have like one handicapped room with nice flooring that seems a little bit cleaner.
May 04, 2021 · Manda SaurusThe best part was checking out. There really was nothing positive about our stay at this hotel, other than it was in a decent location with plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area. That, and the shower had very hot water. The room was cheap, but it wasn't even worth the cheap price. The poor experience started before we even got to the front desk. There is limited parking, so we had to park in a cramped space behind the hotel. The front desk was anything but inviting. It was covered by glass and we had to use a phone at the desk to get a hold of someone at check-in. The whole facility smells moldy, with not so subtle hints of smoke and weed. Finding our room was a challenge, not only because of the poor signage that made little sense, but also because the hotel is just set up horribly. Then we actually got clapped at by the man running the place because we headed the wrong way... Once we were in the room, it was made abundantly clear that little to no renovation was done to the place in years, or likely decades. There was artwork missing from the wall, a mirror that was about to fall out of its frame, and a sticky door. Not sticky at the hinges or handle, but on the door itself. So cleanliness is not a priority here. If it wasn't clear enough by that point, finding an odd substance on the toilet seat would definitely do the trick. Oh, and there was a different odd substance on the toilet paper roll too. Then the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. The bed could not have been any harder, unless it was a rock. My wife woke up with back pain because of how bad it was. She would have slept on the floor if we weren't concerned about how dirty it was. In the morning, a man came by to ask if we needed anything. We said just fresh towels would be nice, and he said he would come back with them later. Well when we got back, sure enough, we got just bath towels. The bed was not made. Now this wasn't a huge deal, but one would think it would be a common courtesy for housekeeping to make the bed if they are going to be in your room. Oh well... The real issue is that the "new" towels did not seem very clean. Mine had spots on it, and a hair that belonged to neither me nor my wife. So basically, you could not pay us to go back. Ever. Trust the poor reviews, and pay a bit extra for a better stay elsewhere.
