Living in New Orleans we do not have an opportunity to visit the hotels of the area very often. We met friends who were staying here and from their recommendation, the appearance and speaking with the staff, this is a great vintage hotel to stay. It is right on the streetcar lines so is convenient and is adjacent to Audubon Park. A beautiful historic hotel.

We just got back from a week at Park View Hotel and are already hoping to get there for next year. We had such a lovely and relaxing stay. The tram is right outside the front entrance so getting down to the French Quarter Festival was easy. The rooms and common spaces are thoughtful and timeless. Lorenzo at the front desk was a joy to work with and really, all the staff were wonderful. The view from the third floor front room was perfect for privacy and the bar was there when we felt social. I can see why brides like it and why engagements happen there. The peacock theme and colours gave me so many ideas to bring home for future touches as we all need a little bit of New Orleans style and humour in our every day lives.

The hotel is still undergoing improvements, but our room overlooked Audubon Park and was beautifully updated, with a walk-in shower, the latest electronics (which we didn't turn on) and lovely antique furniture. It's like stepping into the past, with modern conveniences. The owners provided a Guest Information Folder with valuable info about local dining and attractions, but also hotel amenities and even background on the art hanging in the room. There is a bar and lounge area on the first floor that is very welcoming and incorporates outside seating in the garden and wrap-around front porch. All of the staff was courteous and helpful. This was a very positive experience for us and the rest of our party.

Lovely historic hotel! Very convenient across from the streetcars. The lobby bar is also a nice touch! Absolutely loved the complimentary breakfast! The decor and ambiance was superb. It’s located right by the Audubon Park - very helpful for active families. We walked through the park on the walking path/jogging track to the Audubon Zoo. The hotel is also within close walking distance to Tulane University. We ate dinner in their cafeteria and even went to a baseball game! Clean rooms. The showers sometimes smell like sewage but hey - that’s probably just New Orleans. They had nice shower amenities (soaps, shower cap, shampoos). They even gave us two free drinks to redeem at the bar.) The breakfast ladies and front desk attendants were very helpful and kind! Highly recommend this hotel and its location! Much to do!

Great location if you want to be uptown. Great little patio bar out front and nice complimentary breakfast. The room we had was right next to the dining room and was kind of noisy, and we also heard a lot of noise from upstairs..
